POEMS . . . N

NAIL SCARRED HANDS . . . April 2014 Message

Have you ever thought ‘bout our Saviour?
Dying on that Cross; so sinless and pure?
I oft’ think of His nail scarred Hands,
Scarred; for us, to loose sin’s hard bands.

I’ve thought about His Hands, with those scars,
That mankind, His holy Body did mar.
He suffered death that belonged to me,
Shed His precious Blood, to set me free!

Each and every person does sin,
There’s NO way, alone, God’s grace you’ll win.
Without Jesus, you’re God’s enemy!
You’ll end up in Hell, for eternity.

But there is some very good news, friend,
Hell does not have to be your final end!
This ‘JESUS’, with those nail scarred Hands,
Can give Heaven’s key; and loose sin’s bands.

Only JESUS can relieve God’s wrath,
Without Him, you’re on Hell’s path.
Only trust in Jesus makes you God’s friend,
Only Jesus, your soul can defend!

The only man-made things in Heav’n afar,
Are on those precious Hands; those nail scars.
Place your hand in His nail scarred Hand,
He’ll save your soul; He’ll loose your bands.

Eph.5:6; Jam.4:4)

NEVER AGAIN!

No pitter patter of a soft gentle rain,
No musical notes of a bird’s sweet refrain.
No cool breeze to soothe our hot aching body,
Or to stir the leaves gently up in the trees!

No luscious green grass, where children do play,
And no more laughter from them, on any day.
No beautiful flowers with fragrance so rare,
No fruit on the trees; for no trees will be there!

No majestic purple mountains, O’ so high,
No lush green valleys far from the sky.
No lakes, no rivers, not any where around,
No bright sunshine to cheer, shall ever be found!

No loving companionship, of man, or beast,
No joy, peace, or contentment; no more feast.
No windows, no exit doors, no where at all,
And no way of escape; don’t bother to call!

No friendship, no love, no caring for others,
No comforts of home; for you or another.
No rest or relief from your pain or distress,
No more pardon from God; no need to confess!

No mercy, compassion, or pity; no grace,
No water to cool you; a terrible place!
Do you want to go to this place called “Hell”?
If you reject Jesus; for sure there you’ll dwell!

NEVER LOOK BACK

Never look back, but only ahead,
Re-living the past, only brings dread!
Mistakes we made, be they large or small,
We should be wise, and learn from them all!

Never look back, this is a new day,
Forget the mistakes, you made on the way.
Don’t dwell on things, you cannot change,
But when you blunder, don’t think it strange.

Never look back, on bad things you did,
For all our evils, in Christ are hid!
Accepting Jesus, makes you all new,
You’re in a great group; one of the “few.”

Never look back, it will just depress,
Only Jesus, can bring you success!
Keep your eyes on Jesus, each new day,
He’ll lead on the right road, not let you stray!

Looking back brings, bitter memories,
Look instead to peace and serenity!
Just Jesus can give ‘good’ things in life,
And remove the ‘bad’ things, that cause strife.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, look His way,
Let Him lead and guide you each new day!
Always look forward, never look back,
Trust Jesus to keep you, on the right track!

NICETIES OF LIFE

Someone who cares when you’re feeling low,
Their phone call or visit makes you glow.
The love they show makes dark times seem bright,
Their caring presence, makes all seem right.

Little things, like a cheery hello,
A hug or smile are blessings bestow’d.
An offer to help in your distress,
Their calm gentleness, relieves your stress.

A shoulder to cry on, when tears arrive,
Calming assurance when you strive.
Someone to help share your heartfelt joy,
And their love for you, no one can destroy.

A kind friendly word spoken in love,
Seems to come direct, from God above.
Niceties in life, show others we care,
Compassion and love, we should always share.

NINETY AND NINE

Ninety nine sheep, in the fold safely lay,
While one in the hills, wandered far away.
Far away into the mountain, wild and bare,
Wandering far away from the Shepherd’s care!

Ninety nine safe sheep; but that one is lost,
The Shepherd shall search, no matter the cost.
The mountain terrain may be rough and steep,
But the Shepherd goes to look for that sheep.

The ninety nine sheep; rough waters they cross’d,
But that one did not make it; it got lost!
Out on the mountain; frail and ready to die,
But the Shepherd heard its weak, feeble cry!

Down from the mountain, so rugged and steep,
The Shepherd came crying: “I’ve found my sheep.”
We should rejoice; Jesus cares for his own,
Such love and mercy to His sheep are shown!

Noah’s Life

Have you ever thought, of Noah’s life?
And how circumstances, brought him strife?
It started with him hearing, God’s command,
To build a boat, on the desert sand.

Noah list’ to God, and did obey,
In his mind, it was the only way!
When God did instruct, Noah took care,
And all He did, he did with prayer!

Noah found grace, in the eyes of the Lord,
What a testimony, from God’s Word!
He should be, an example to all,
The rich and poor, the big and the small.

Noah walked with God, the Bible states,
But those around him, were filled with hate.
The world was evil, continuously,
While Noah lived his life, righteously!

Noah did, just as God did command,
His faith in the Lord, took a firm stand!
Being warned by God, of things to come,
His obedience, was true wisdom!

Noah was good, hating wickedness,
The evil all around, caused him great stress.
He tried to make them, see they were wrong,
But on the broad road, they stayed with the throng!

When all was loaded, God shut the door,
To all the wicked, death was in store!
Noah did warn them, day after day,
But their choice was, God to disobey!

As you live life today, here on Earth,
Do you consider God’s Word, any worth?
Are you like the wicked, as you live?
BEWARE of the judgment, God may give!

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD THE FATHER, WHO IS IN HEAVEN!!!
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV) . . . If you want to go where the Father is, you must go through Jesus! Are you allowing the LORD to guide you to the bliss of Heaven? If not, WHY not? God loves you. Trust Him to help you! He will! Scripture verses for the poem: Gen. 6; Gen.7:16; Mat.7:13-14; 2 Pet.2:5; Heb.11:7).

NO APPEAL

There will be NO appeal, on Judgment Day,
You'll not be able to sway things, your way.
You will not sway the Judge, with bribery,
This Judge will do everything, righteously!

If you hate the verdict, there is NO appeal,
Your life today, eternity shall seal.
Your life will be revealed, for all to see,
My friend, where will you spend, eternity?

Ever so righteous, will be this Great Judge,
He'll never from truth and holiness, budge.
The verdict He gives, you'll know is right,
My friend, have you walked with Him, in His Light?

There's NO appeal, when Christ's verdict you hear,
In this life, do you live, in Godly fear?
Or friend, do you blaspheme, His Holy Name?
If so, you will stand before Him, in shame!

With your tongue, do you the Lord Jesus confess?
Do you honor and praise Him, and His Name bless?
Friend, if you don't, you'll not like what you hear,
The Judge will say, "The flames of Hell are near."

Each one of us, shall stand before His Throne,
And we'll stand in His Presence, all alone.
What we do today, is how Christ will decide,
Where in eternity, we will reside!

Have you open'd to Christ, the door to your heart?
Did you repent, and from your sin depart?
Just Jesus, has Heav'n's one and only key,
Without Him, it's Hell, for eternity!

In the Lamb's Book of Life, is your name there?
If not, the Lake of Fire, shall be your fare!
There shall be NO appeals, on Judgment day,
My friend, are you walking, the narrow way?

NO CLOSED DOORS

There’s no closed door to God’s wondrous love,
It’s never ending and true, from above!
That love is there, for you and for me,
God gives thru’ Jesus, so abundantly!

There’s no lock on the door to God’s grace,
It’s always open, our sins to erase!
It’s available, to all who believe,
When God’s precious Son they do receive!

The door’s always open, to God’s mercy,
For our precious Saviour holds the ‘key.’
Only Christ can open that door so wide,
That we can access God’s mercy inside!

There’s no closed door to God’s wondrous Throne,
But we must access thru’ Jesus alone!
We can go to the Father, day or night,
And ask in pray’r that He aid in our plight.

The door to forgiveness is always open,
God forgives thru’ Christ, again and again!
We can go to God when we transgress,
Forgiveness is ours, as He does bless.

Christ Jesus has control of ev’ry door,
All are open to what God has in store.
But we must always trust and abide,
To receive the blessings God holds inside!

We as God’s children have so much to gain,
Awesome blessings thru’ Christ we can attain.
Jesus opens all the doors to God so wide,
And gives to us eternal life besides!

NO ESCAPE

Have you ever heard anyone carelessly say,
“If I go to Hell, I’ll have much company?”
You’re deceiving yourself, I am here to tell,
For friend, you do NOT want to go to Hell!

There will be no one in Hell, to be your friend,
Friendship with everyone, has come to an end.
You’ll have no company, but be all alone,
You’ll wish you’d listened, and to Jesus had gone.

There’ll be no tears in Heav’n, for those God keeps,
But it’s opposite in Hell, there all shall weep.
Weeping and wailing, and gnawing of tongues,
And after a thousand years, it’s only begun!

There will be NO escape, from the prison of Hell,
Absolutely for certain, there you shall dwell.
There are NO ‘exit’ doors, to escape any day,
NO parole for good behavior, NO partial stay!

Only one question I would like to ask you,
Are you headed for Hell? or Heav’n in the blue?
ONLY Jesus can save you from the pits of Hell,
Just turn to Him, and in Heav’n, you shall dwell.

NO EXIT GATES IN HELL

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.(KJV) . . .  Gates are used for opening and shutting. The torment of Hell has gates that will OPEN to let one in, and SHUT to keep them there FOREVER. The gates of Hell will NEVER close upon a TRUE Christian.

There seem to be many gates, into Hell,
This place of torment, where millions shall dwell.
Are you on your way, to one of those gates?
You can change your course, for it’s not too late!

Since Heav’n has twelve gates, maybe Hell does too,
We could guess all day, but we have no clue.
It matters not, how many gates there be,
Enter into one, it shuts eternally!

Any sin, can put a person in Hell,
A place where you, do NOT want to dwell!
Multiple sins are rampant, the world wide,
Instead in Christ Jesus, you must abide.

Cast away all sin, from your life today,
Believe God, accept Christ, is the right way.
Because all do it, does NOT make it right,
Wickedness in God’s eyes, is black as night!

God is a just God, so holy and pure,
My friend, there is NO sin, that He will endure.
E’vn a small sin, He will not tolerate,
All sin will lead you, to one of Hell’s gates!

Adultery, homosexuality,
Are on Satan’s road, to Hell’s eternity.
Sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars,
Are speeding their way, to the Lake of Fire.

Heav’n is yours, if in Christ Jesus you believe,
Eternal life is what, you will receive.
If you care for your soul, choose carefully,
Heav’n, or the gates of Hell, eternally!

NO Fear of God!! . . . April 2013 Message

The fear of God, is something people exclude,
Reverence, respect, obedience, we must include!
Yet in today's world, there is NO fear of the Lord,
They simply oppose Him, and twist His Holy Word.

The fear of God, must always take first place,
Neglecting this respect, you'll NOT see Jesus' Face!
We must fear God, both now and for e'er more,
If we e'er want to walk, on Heaven's wondrous shore!

God's Holy Book, always leads us in right paths,
But, when we don't fear Him, it brings down His wrath!
He wants His children, on the narrow and strait,
For just that road leads us, to Heaven's entrance gate!

With NO fear of God, Judgment Day will terrify!
Judge Jesus will cast you, into Hell's agony!
There you will remain, for all eternity,
The choice is yours: Hell OR Heaven's beauty!

Few in today's pulpits, teach the 'fear of God,'
Twisting, deceiving Truth, bringing it down to fraud.
NO reverence for God, leaves just one place to go,
Stay on the devil's road, and Hell you'll soon know!

People today, want only to hear good things,
They don't want to hear of sin, and what it brings!
So the "Word-Faith" heretics, kick it into gear,
Bringing the false garbage, people want to hear!

Man's vain doctrines, will NEVER save your soul,
Believe God, trust Christ, let Jesus have control!
Just Jesus can give you, life eternally,
Friend, believe it, or you'll get Hell's agony!

NO MATTER WHAT

No matter what, you can be forgiv’n,
Your eternal home, can be in Heav’n.
But our holy God, you must believe,
His beloved Son, you must receive!

No matter what, God’s great love is there,
Free and abundant, because He cares!
But our wondrous God, you must obey,
And walk with Christ in the narrow way.

No matter what, God’s mercy is near,
Penalty of sin, we need not fear.
Christ paid our debt, as He hung on the Cross,
But, if you reject Him, Heav’n is lost!

No matter what, you can sense God’s grace,
And one day soon, you can see His Face.
But you must be “born again” Christ states,
Or the pits of Hell shall be your fate.

God forgives, no matter what we’ve done,
But you must trust Jesus, God’s only Son!
His precious Blood will wash you white as snow,
And generous blessings He’ll bestow!

No matter what, your past you can shed,
All those horrid sins, that cause you dread.
God will forgive, if our sins we confess,
He removes our guilt as He does bless!

No matter what, you can feel God’s love,
Everlasting and true; from above!
No sin is too great for Him to cast out,
But we must obey, and go the right route!

NO MORES OF HEAVEN . . . May 2015 Message

The beauty of our God’s Heaven can’t be told,
It’s unspeakable; and one day we’ll behold!
There’ll be so many things that won’t be there,
I’m looking forward to climbing that stair.

No more pain from troubles or labors long,
No more sickness, no disease; nothing wrong!
No more heart attacks, no cancer, no doctors,
No more old age, no more death held in store.

There shall be no more funerals, e’er again,
No parting, no families, broken by men!
No more poverty, no hunger, no more thirst,
No more afflictions that need to be nursed.

No more oppression of the poor weak folk,
No injustice, that would take their only cloak.
No more suffering, no confusion, no more stress,
No more war, no more crime, no more wickedness!

No more evil, no hatred, and no more lies,
No drunkenness, no hard feelings to deny.
No more meanness, no ugliness, no more strife,
I can’t ev’n imagine this kind of life!

No more pride, no stubbornness, no more fear,
No depressing moments will e’er come near!
No disappointments, no more heartaches deep,
No more worry, no more loneliness to reap.

No more sin of any kind; Satan is gone!
No one to discourage; ‘twill be a new dawn!
Do you want to go to this marvelous place/
Just accept Jesus, you’ll go by God’s grace!

NO MORES OF HELL . . . June 2015 Message

No more wonderful fragrance of a rose,
No more beautiful birds; can you suppose?
No more blue skies, with fluffy clouds so white,
No more children playing, with laughter so bright.

No more peace at heart, no more feeling swell,
No more joyous occasions; not in Hell.
No more fishing or boating on water clear,
Friend, there is no more water, no where near!

No more friendship of joy, found in that throng,
No more comforts of home, no loving song.
No more music or laughter in that place,
No more of God’s mercy, pardon, or grace!

No more light, not even a tiny bit,
No more tranquility, no contentment.
No more goodness of any kind, e’er more,
No more blessings from God will be in store!

No more love, joy, nor happiness in Hell,
Is this the place you have chosen to dwell?
No more beauty of nature on Hell’s banks,
Just darkness forever; ‘twill be so rank!

You’re on the way to Heav’n or Hell this day,
Only Jesus can get you to Heav’n’s way!
But if you do reject God’s only Son,
Hell does await, and agony begun.

NO NEED FOR REPAIRS . . . Sept.2002 & Aug.2009 Messages

All our needs shall be filled in eternity,
Our God shall watch o’er us, so lovingly.
The tree of life, its fruit shall always bear,
For our eternal Father, truly cares.

Our mansion in Heav’n, shall need no repair,
Thru’ all eternity, ‘twill show no wear.
The street of pure gold shall never be worn,
‘Twill always be bright; never look forlorn.

Never any dimness in Heaven’s Lights,
The unfailing Power shall always be bright.
The City’s walls shall never shift or fall,
No damage or harm shall ever befall.

The gates of the City shall never sag,
No repairs needed, for they’ll never drag.
As I humbly enter Thy majestic Presence,
Thy awesomeness, I gratefully reverence.

What an amazing Place, Heaven shall be,
‘Twill be Perfection, for eternity.
No repairs needed; for nothing shall fail,
Only peace, joy and goodness shall prevail.

Are you going to this marvelous Place?
Will you meet our Saviour there, Face to face?
God gives the Gift of Heaven, to all who believe,
Accept Christ, and Heaven, you shall receive.

No NEED To WALK ALONE . . . May 2008 Message

Troubling times are encountered in life,
We’ll experience sorrow, pain and strife.
But we need not walk life’s path alone,
Give Christ your burden; He’ll make it His own.

Many fierce storms in life we’ll face,
Haunting mem’ries, we can’t seem to erase.
But we need not walk life’s road afraid,
Jesus is near; He’ll comfort and aid.

Tho’ pain and sorrow may come our way,
We can look forward to a better day.
Worry need not hinder life’s path as we walk,
Christ is near, with His comforting talk.

If we’re God’s child, we don’t walk alone,
Jesus will guide, and make right roads known.
No matter how severe our agony,
Christ’s Presence is there, for you and me.

All your troubles may ne’er go away,
But His Presence makes a much better day.
We can do all things with His great pow’r,
He’ll help carry our load, ev’ry hour.

No One Else

As no one else could, Jesus touched my heart,
Made me all new; gave me a brand new start!
Took evil desires and hate, far away,
Made me see things differently, each new day!

Jesus touched my heart, and its hardness fled,
Now it is soft and pliable instead!
Compassion is there, that never used to be,
I now think of others, and not just me!

Jesus touched my heart, and my sins were gone,
I no longer was the old devil’s pawn.
Complete forgiveness; my slate was wiped clean,
My soul is now content; quiet and serene!

When He touched me, my life began to change,
My attitudes and desires; He re-arranged!
A brand new creature He did make of me,
And He placed me into, God’s family!

Jesus touched my heart, as no one else could,
A truly awesome Friend; loving and good!
He has abundant mercy, and royal grace,
And one day soon, I’ll see His kindly Face!

NO ONE LIKE JESUS!

How You took my place on the cross, I do not know,
But this I do know, You saved me from Hell below!
You paid sin’s death penalty, for the likes of me,
Allowing me to access, life eternally!

In the Garden of Gethsemane, You dis pray,
O My Father, could there yet be, another way?
But there was not, so to the cross You did submit,
And saved me, my dear Redeemer, from Hell’s deep pit!

What took place, during those three hours of mystery?
When the sins of all the world, were placed on Thee?
We are not told, because we could not understand,
But it was all done, by Your Father’s Hand!

Lord, You redeemed me, from sin’s horrid penalty,
And You gave me instead, life eternally!
There is NO other Saviour, this whole world thru’,
That gives an inheritance in Heav’n, as You do!

Whosoever believes in You, shall not perish,
But have eternal life, for Your Father will bless!
For God so loved the world, He gave His only Son,
Believing in You Lord, makes our salvation done!

Jesus death on the cross: (Mat.26:36-46;2 Cor.5:21; Ps.11:5; Heb.4:14-15; Lk.23:44-47; Mat.27:45-52; Jn.14:1-6; 1 Pet.1:2-5; Jn.11:25-26; 3:15-18)
Darkness at Jesus’death: (Mat.27:45; Mk.15:33-34; Lk.23:44-45).
Veil rent: (Mat.27:51; Mk.15:38; Lk.23:45).
That this general darkness was absolutely supernatural is clear that it happened at the Passover, which was celebrated only at the full moon, a time in when it was impossible for the sun to be eclipsed, natural eclipses happening only at the time of the new moon.

NO PLACE LIKE HOME . . . June 2014 Message

There’s no place like home, most people say,
We find such comfort there, in these days.
We can be ourselves, not put on airs,
There, we can cast away, many cares.

Our home here on Earth; it will not last,
All that we own, one day will be past.
We’ll leave this Earth, for another place,
Will you, my friend, see Heav’n, by God’s grace?

There’s no place like home; that one that waits,
If you know Christ, He’ll open the gate!
It will be a mansion, plain and true,
If you know Christ, He’ll reserve it for you!

No more death, nor sorrow, no more pain,
And to all our needs, God will sustain.
No more crying; all tears gone of this day,
For former things are all passed away.

God will keep us in comfort and bliss,
None of the things of Earth, will we miss.
The ecstasy of Heav’n can’t compare,
The greatest joy of Earth, won’t ev’n fare.

There’s no place like the Home we’re goin’ to,
But it’s reserved, for only a “few”.
Only Christ Jesus can grant access,
To the future Home, of so much promise.

NO TURNING BACK

When I turned to Christ that fateful day,
I made Him a promise, I would stay.
Many times I feel helpless, and lose track,
But I’ll stand firm; there’s no turning back.

I made a commitment, totally,
To my loving Saviour, who died for me.
Tho’ I may stumble, He takes my hand,
There’s no turning back, by Him I’ll stand.

There’s no turning back; I have no fear,
For my awesome Friend, is always near.
No matter what trouble comes my way,
I’ll stand by His side; both night and day.

I won’t turn back, for earthly pleasures,
For I look forward to heav’nly treasures.
There’s no turning back; Christ holds the key,
To life in Heav’n with Him, eternally.

No turning back; what e’er comes my way,
For I am headed, for a better day.
There’s no turning back; my mansion awaits,
I’m passing thru’, headed for Heav’n’s gate.

NONE LIKE YOU

When I read Your Word, it amazes me,
For I see the wondrous God of eternity!
Not ev’n one false word, they all are true,
You alone are God; there’s none like You!

Before a thing has begun; You know the end,
I don’t understand, I can’t comprehend!
Lord, You are so awesome and amazing,
You’re present ev’ry where, and know all things!

A God of great patience, to ev’ry one,
But Your mercy comes only thru’ Your Son.
Those who reject Christ, call You a “liar,”
And they are headed to the “lake of fire.”

A God of wrath, to all who won’t believe,
But a God of love, if Christ they receive!
You are a God who is upright and fair,
Mercy and justice You show, ev’ry where!

You often work in ways we cannot see,
Keeping us away from iniquity!
A God of mercy and great love too,
My Father in Heav’n, there’s none like You.

You reach out tenderly to lost ones,
Gently You try to lead them, to Your Son.
With a still, small voice kindly You plead,
It is Your desire that to You they heed.

NONE OF US KNOW

None of us know, what tomorrow may bring,
Are you one who worries, ‘bout everything?
Has worry e’er taken, your trouble away?
Worry is just lack of faith, on display.

God has a plan, for each and every one,
First and foremost, is that we trust His Son.
To not believe God, is a sin indeed,
To the Holy Word of God, we must heed!

The plan of God, is that we be His child,
To be sep’rate from the world, so defiled.
In the Spirit, the Lord wants us to walk,
And imitate Christ, in His deeds and talk.

Jesus trusted His Father, with His all,
He had no worry, ‘bout what would befall.
Jesus knew exactly, what would come His way,
He trusted completely, each single day.

Shouldn’t Christ Jesus, our Example be?
As we walk the small path, to eternity.
Jesus did not worry ‘bout anything,
May His right Life to us, be a blessing!

Worry should not be, the first thing on our mind,
All our troubles can be left, far behind.
Let us ask ourselves, “What would Jesus do?”
Strength from His Father, He would pursue!

NOT ENOUGH WORDS

I can’t imagine, how life will be,
In the Heav’n’ly realm of eternity.
My mind simply cannot comprehend,
That all God’s people, will in harmony blend.

Beyond description, is the beauty of Heav’n,
Too, the eternal rest, God has giv’n.
We’ll walk in peace, on that golden street,
And never an enemy, shall we meet.

Peace, joy, comfort, and eternal bliss,
‘Tis hard to even consider this!
An amazing City, gleaming bright,
We’ll walk in Jesus’ glorious Light.

As we pass thru’ Earth, on life’s journey,
Steadily onward, to eternity.
God gives us two roads, from which to choose,
On one road, we win, the other, we lose.

As you consider these words that I say,
Which road are you traveling this day?
Only Jesus can give you Heav’n’s key,
To a home in this dazzling City.

NOT ONCE

Not once, in all the many years gone by,
Did you ever forsake me, or deny.
Long before I trusted you, you were there,
I could not see then, how much you did care.

Even as a child, so wild and carefree,
You were there always, watching me closely.
You never gave up on me, no, not once,
Always so patient, waiting, for my “yes”.

You were there in my childhood, and my teens,
The life I led, was surely not pristine.
On to adulthood, I still did reject,
Not once did you leave, but only protect.

Finally your Words did lodge in my heart,
I pray that I never, from you depart.
May I ever be grateful to my Lord,
May I walk with Him, in willing accord.

Not once, in all my years, did you forsake,
Thru’ all my sorrows, and many mistakes.
‘Tis a joy to know you are there always,
Granting grace, mercy, and peace, all my days.

Not Once

Not once, when His Father told Him to go,
Did He ever consider, saying no.
He left Heaven’s comfort, to pay a price,
He paid our sin debt, was our Sacrifice!

Since Christ was God, He knew what to expect,
And He was willing, our souls to protect.
But being Man, He felt great agony,
Yet not once, did He think, to set Himself free!

Gethsemane on Him, took a great toll,
Mental agony, seemed to take control.
But not once, another way did He demand,
For He knew He was in, His Father’s Hand!

Heartsick, when His people sent Him to die,
The high priests yelled, crucify, crucify.
Then He was sent, to be lashed with whips,
But not once did He ever, lose His grip!

Cruel soldiers, cut Christ’s Flesh to the bone,
Whipped so severely, the white was shown.
The Bible says, my bones look and stare at me,
Not once did Christ shrink back, from victory!

Nails were driven, in Jesus’ Hands and Feet,
Yet not once. did He desire to retreat.
He persisted, in His Father’s Plan,
Paying once for all, the debt of sinful man!

Legions of angels, Jesus could have called,
But not once, did He ever think to stall.
He kept on, because of His awesome love,
Wanting the best for us, in Heaven above!

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD THE FATHER, WHO IS IN HEAVEN!!!
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
(KJV)
Scriptures for this poem: (Jn.3:15-18; 1:1-2, 14; Lk.22:39-44; 23:21; Jn.19:6, 32; 20:25; Ps.16:1; Ps.22; Ps.31:14-16; Ps.32:3-4; 38:8; Mat.26:53-54; 27:26-54; Heb.7:27; 9:28; 10:10).

NOT TRUSTING GOD

Worry, doubt, and not trusting, are sin,
We must shed them, and anew, begin.
“In nothing be anxious” God does say, Phil.4:6
Cast it all upon Him, this very day. 1 P.5:7

Peter’s doubt, made him sink in the sea, Mt.14:31; 16:8
Our doubt makes us sink, both you and me.
When storms of life come, we must have faith, Mk.4:40
He’s in control; of our ev’ry breath.

At times we are fools, and slow of heart, Lu.24:25
Satan’s work, is for us to depart. 1 P.5:8
At times, Satan takes hold of our life,
Causing worry, doubt, and so much strife.

We must beware, lest we fall away, 2 P.3:17
From the grace of God, this very day.
Not trusting God, to do as He’s said, Phil.4:13,19; 1 Tim.6:6-12
Will bring God’s displeasure, and much dread. Heb.11:6-A

Salvation’s not lost; just fellowship, Is.59:2
Because of sin, God won’t hear our lips.
The joy of our salvation is gone, Ps.51:12
Sin will make us, the old devil’s pawn.

When we pray, we are to ask in faith, Jam.1:6; Mt.21:22
If we don’t BELIEVE, we’d best save our breath. Jn.15:7; Ga.4:9
“Have faith in God” Christ did firmly say, Mk.11:22,24
Doubt and unbelief; He hates this day. Jn.16:9; Heb.3:12; 10:38

We should not murmur; neither complain, 1 Co.10:9-12; Ph.2:14
These are sins; and will not bring us gain.
Turn instead; have faith in God’s Word,
He’ll forgive our sins, in loving accord.

NOTHING BUT LEAVES

What a wasted life; nothing but leaves,
Not one single fruit; the Spirit grieves!
Great sins committed while conscience sleeps,
Promises made, we ne’er meant to keep.

Nothing but leaves, causes God great pain,
No fruitful sheaves of life’s ripened grain.
Sad to say, just idle words and deeds,
Life produced nought but tares and weeds.

Nothing but leaves; the past we can’t hide,
Lost and mis-spent days, taken in stride.
Sad mem’ries, as we trace our past ways,
No good fruits produced, all those days.

Nothing but leaves, as the Lord they meet,
No fruits to show, at the Judgment Seat.
At our Saviour’s feet, what shall we cast?
Nothing but leaves, nothing that lasts!

NOTHING TO HOLD ME BACK

Nothing to hold me back; my sin is gone!
The precious Blood of Jesus cleansed me from all wrong.
I had none, so He gave me righteousness,
Taking far away, my “rags” of filthiness!

Nothing to hold me back, Satan is restrained,
Wondrous power of my Saviour, I have gained!
When to the Lord Jesus, I did submit,
He gave me as mine, His Holy Spirit!

Nothing to hold me back, I have great peace,
Stress and worry are gone; fears are released.
All this took place, because of Jesus’ love,
Such amazing blessings, from our God above!

Nothing to hold me back, in God’s Holy eyes,
When I accepted Christ, God did justify!
I now have access, by faith, to the Holy Land,
Because with my Saviour, I firmly stand!

I’m Heav’n bound, there’s nothing to hold me back,
Praise You Jesus, for putting me on the right track!
Blessings from You, give me such awesome joy,
Joy that no one, anywhere, can ever destroy!

Nothing to hold me back, from Heaven’s bliss,
The world’s greatest riches, cannot come close to this!
Only God’s grace can open Heaven’s gates wide,
Only by faith in Jesus, will we ever there abide!

NOTHING YOU OR I CAN DO . . . May 1999 Message

I know there is nothing I can do,
To earn salvation, by my virtue.
It is a gift, by the grace of God,
Thru’ faith in Jesus, the world abroad.

There is nothing I can do, I know,
My best would place me in Hell below.
Only Christ alone, holds Heaven’s key,
Just He can give life, eternally.

Without Jesus, we’re God’s enemy,
Dark Hell would be our final decree.
There is nothing, we could ever do,
All our works, God would curse, or beshrew.

Nothing that we do, or say, or try,
Can ever in God’s eyes, justify.
Just Christ’s precious Blood can reconcile,
All our efforts, will only defile.

Jesus did it all, for us, back then,
On the Cross, He paid for the sins of men.
There is nothing you or I can do,
Just accept by faith, His love so true.

Now and Then

Now and then, some will run to the Lord,
But only a few, study His Word.
Most are busy, living a life of ease,
They ne’er think, ‘tis God whom they should please.

Now and then, there are some who do right,
But most have hearts, that are black as night.
They ne’er think ‘tis wrong, to do drugs and booze,
And on the streets of violence, they cruise.

Now and then, some go to God in prayer,
But just a few about Christ, do care.
Most ridicule Jesus, in blasphemy,
They ne’er seem to think, of Hell’s agony.

Now and then, some will ev’n thank the Lord,
For things God does, on His own accord.
But most just go on, their merry way,
With thankless hearts, each and ev’ry day.

Now and then, some think of eternity,
Most lust after things, which are worldly.
They ne’er think of Christ as their Great Judge,
And of His righteous duty, He’ll not budge.

Now and then, some will ev’n think of Heav’n,
This place of blissful peace and love, above.
But most know of or have heard, of Hell,
Where the wicked who disobey God, shall dwell.

Are you now and then? Or are you always?
We should honor and praise God, all our days!
If you are wise, you’ll live in God’s Home,
Only to fools, the gate of Hell is shown.
