TROUBLES AND TRIALS

When troubles that besiege, come into play,
Dear Lord, give me strength, to accept Your way.
When I feel as if, flood waters o’er flow,
Your encouraging love, I want to know.

You do allow trials, to come to me,
The choice I make, is what You want to see.
When troubles come, there’s a choice to make,
I can run fast to You, or You forsake.

We all have a free will, that You did give,
We all use this gift, as our life we live.
But so many times, I choose the wrong path,
And my error at times, can bring on Your wrath.

When You allow pain, to You I must run,
It’s a bad decision, when You I shun.
You ne’er promise, to take all pain away,
But feeling Your Presence, can make my day.

Pain and suffering, and troubles of all kind,
But thru’ these all, I can have peace of mind.
Sufficient Lord, is Your amazing grace,
It sees me thru’ all, as I run my race.

Lord, You do NOT ev’ry malady heal,
It matters not, when Your Presence I feel.
Your strength is made perfect, when I am weak,
The pow’r of Christ, is what I should seek.

I should take pleasure in infirmities,
For this must be for me, a necessity.
You make me strong Lord, when I am weak,
Give me wisdom, Your gracious pow’r to seek.

TROUBLES AND TRIALS

Troubles and trials come to one and all. It is what we do with them, when problems arise, that make a big difference to the Lord. With a brand new year directly before us, let us all consider how God wants us to handle things. Unwavering faith in Him is at the top of the list. We must trust Him and His power always, to help us in all the "bad" things that come our way.
Let us consider the amazing story in Daniel 3. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were  three young men who boldly defied the mighty King Nebuchadnezzar, and were thrown into a fiery furnace.  Have you ever considered just WHAT you would have done in a situation like that? This wonderful story provides believers today with strong and lasting lessons.
Their refusal to obey the king’s decree to bow down to the idol, three charges were brought against them. #1. They paid no attention to the king and his commands, #2. They did not serve the king’s gods, and #3. They refused to worship the golden statue that the king himself had set up. The penalty for their actions was death, as pronounced by the king.
Their response to the king was profound
Daniel 3:15-18  Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? 16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. 17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. 18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. (KJV)
We cannot help but be overwhelmed by their faith in the One and Only TRUE God. In the very beginning, their response in the moment of trial confirmed three things: #1. Their unswerving conviction of the God of the Bible, #2. Their confidence in the God who is Who He says He is and will do what He says He will do, and #3. Their faith is revealed by their complete reliance upon the only One who had the power to deliver them from evil.
Nebuchadnezzar was the world’s most powerful king; but their acknowledgment of God over this great and powerful worldly king, resulted in God’s supreme power being revealed to unbelievers. The faith of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego clearly reveals that God is able to deliver us from our own problems and trials. Oh! To have faith like this! Help me Lord.
We know that God IS able to deliver us, IF it be His will . . .  BUT . . . there are times when it is NOT His will to deliver us. Romans 5 tells us that God may allow trials and difficulties in our lives to build our character, strengthen our faith, or for other reasons known only to Him. We may not always understand the reason of our trials, but God simply asks that we trust Him, and sometimes that is NOT easy. Job, who endured incredible pain, almost insurmountable agony, and suffering, was still able to say, “Though He may slay me, yet will I hope in Him” (Job 13:15).
Our hope when experiencing illness, persecution or pain lies in knowing that this life is not the end . . . there is life after death. That is His Promise to all those who love and obey Him. Knowing that we will have eternal life with God enables us live above the pain and suffering we endure in this life. John 14:23  Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. (KJV) . . . Have faith and trust that God always knows best for us.

LOVE IS AN ENEMY

To Satan, true love is an enemy,
Our hate makes him smile in wicked glee.
Kind, loving words that come from the heart,
Makes the old devil, quickly depart.

He wants us to fuss, one with another,
He wants strife and conflict, among brothers.
He wants not a bit of love to be shown,
He wants us to act, as if Christ isn’t known.

A great enemy of Satan, is love,
The devil hates our dear Lord, from above.
Satan does not want us, to be like Him,
He wants us to continue, right on in sin.

The old devil has a great enemy,
The love of our Lord, toward you and me.
Satan really hates, true godly love,
He tries to keep us, from God above.

True godly love is Satan’s enemy,
He grins when we keep on, in iniquity.
But just love for God, and our brethren too,
This love is what we, should always pursue.

Love the Lord your God, with all of your heart,
And the hatred of Satan, will depart.
Let us to one another, godly love show,
Let us cause the devil, sorrow and woe.

Love, brotherly. (Pro.10:12; 15:17; 1 Cor.13:1; 16:14; 2 Cor.2:8; Gal.5:13; Phil.1:9; 1 Thes.4:9; 1 Pet.4:8; 1 Jn.2:10; 4:21)

 Love for Christ. (Mat.10:37; 28:1; Mk.15:41; Jn.8:42; 14:15-16,22-23; 16:27; 19:25; 20:14; Eph.6:24; 2 Tim.1:13; Philemon 1:5; 1 Pet.1:8).

Love for God. (Deut.6:5; 10:12; 11:1,13,22; 19:9; 30:20; Josh.22:5; 23:11; Ps.31:23; Mat.22:37; Mk.12:30; Lk.10:27; 11:42; Jn.13:34; Rom.8:28; Eph.1:4; 2 Thes.3:5; Jude 1:21)

 Love of Christ. (Mk.10:21; Jn.10:11; 11:3; 13:1,34; 14:21; 15:9,13; 19:26; 20:2; Rom.5:7; 8:35-38; 2 Cor. 5:14; Gal.2:20; Eph.5:2,25; 1 Tim.1:14; 1 Jn.3:16)

Love's Test. (Jn.13:35; 21:16; 1 Cor.13:1; 1 Tim.1:5; 1 Jn.3:14; 4:20)

Different Kinds of Love

#1. Agape love:The essence of agape love is self-sacrifice. Agape love is of and from God, whose very nature is love itself. The apostle John affirms this in 1 John 4:8;  “God is love.” God does not only love; He is love itself. Everything God does flows from His love. God loves because that is His nature and the expression of His being. He loves the unlovable and the unlovely (us!), not because we deserve to be loved, but because it is His nature to love us, and He must be true to His nature and character. God’s love is displayed most clearly at the cross, where Christ died for the unworthy creatures who were “dead in trespasses and sins” (Eph.2:1), NOT  because we did anything to deserve it, “but God commends His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us” (Rom.5:8). We can never do anything to merit God's love. We are simply the undeserving recipients upon whom He lavishes that love. His love was perfectly demonstrated when He sent His Son into the world to “seek and save that which was lost” (Lk.19:10), and to provide eternal life to those who believe Him. He paid the ultimate sacrifice for those He loves.
#2. Phileo love: Philia refers to brotherly love and is most often exhibited in families and close friendships. Since phileo love involves feelings of warmth and affection toward another person, we do not have phileo love toward our enemies. But, God commands us to have agape love toward everyone. This includes those whose personalities clash with ours, those who hurt us and treat us badly, and even those who are hostile toward our faith (Mat.5:44; Lk.6:28).
#3. Eros love. Eros is from which we get the English word ‘erotic.’ Eros is the word used to express sexual love between two people. Eros love should be shared only between husband and wife, according to the Bible. Eros love can be a wonderful thing, but because of our fallen sin nature, eros love, so often becomes a vile and dirty thing in God's eyes. Sexual love today in so many cases is sexual immorality, and is an abomination to God.  People today see sexual love without restraint as perfectly natural, which is totally against the Holy Word of Almighty God.

I have a long list that I call "Cute Sayings" . . . below are some on the topic of LOVE!

The true test of love is loyalty.
Love is a basket with 5 loaves and 2 fishes. It’s never enough until you start giving it away.
He came to pay a debt He didn’t owe, Because we had a debt we couldn’t pay.
You can’t show kindness too soon, because you never know how soon it will be too late.
True love demands nor expects nothing in return.
Those who love Jesus, have a love for the lost.
If we do not hate evil, we cannot love God.
No burden is too heavy for the powerful arms of God.
We think too much of ourselves when we think too little of God.
Life’ darkest path can never dim the light of God’s love.

THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST

The Spirit of Christ, is wholly divine,
Pure, sacred and holy; for e’er to shine!
The Spirit of Christ, is deity,
But all too many from Him, do flee.

The Spirit of Christ, is fearfully wise,
With knowledge He’s willing, to devise.
The Spirit of Christ, is righteousness,
Always trying to take us, from darkness.

The Spirit of Christ, is tender and warm,
Not wanting to do, anyone harm.
The Spirit of Christ, is quiet and calm,
With never a misgiving, or qualm.

The Spirit of Christ, is gentle and mild,
He’s never savage, cruel, or wild.
The Spirit of Christ, will persevere,
He’ll not leave nor forsake; have no fear!

The Spirit of Christ, is compassionate,
He’ll help in our trouble, what e’er our fate.
The Spirit of Christ is lowly and meek,
All our heavy burdens, He does seek.

The Spirit of Christ, is so patient,
Wanting all the lost souls, to repent.
The Spirit of Christ, wants to forgive,
So that in Heav’n, with Him, we can live.

The Spirit of Christ, wants to liberate,
Our sin-filled life, He so does hate.
The Spirit of Christ, is purely love,
Sent by the Father, from Heav’n above.

(Is.11:1-5, 40:11; 42:1-4; 61:1; 63:1; Mt.9:36; 11:29; Lu.9:55-56; 23:34; Ac.10:38; Ep.5:2)

I bring the following Passages revealing the Spirit of Christ:

Romans 8:9  But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (KJV)
Romans 8:10  And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (KJV)
Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. (KJV) . . . I think these Passages state the deity of our precious Lord, Jesus.
Romans 1:17  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (KJV)
Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. (KJV) . . . These state the righteousness of Jesus.
Isaiah 40:11  He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. (KJV)
Matthew 9:36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. (KJV)
Colossians 3:12-13 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. (KJV)
Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. (KJV)
Matthew 11:29-30 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (KJV)
John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. (KJV)
John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. (KJV)
John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (KJV)
John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (KJV)

Words of Wisdom

Money will buy a bed, but it won’t buy sleep.
Money will buy food, but not an appetite.
Money will buy medicine, but not good health.
Money will buy a house, but not a happy home.
Money will buy a diamond, but it won’t buy love.
Money will buy a church pew, but not salvation.

THE CHRIST OF CALV’RY’S ROAD?

Do you know the Christ of Calv’ry’s road?
The Christ that carried, that heavy load?
Weary, stagg’ring; with head bowed low,
A Man acquainted with grief and sorrow.

Do you know the Christ, of Calv’ry’s road?
The Christ that left, His Heav’nly abode?
He condescended, for you and me,
Paid our debt, and set our sinful soul free.

Do you know the Christ, of Calv’ry’s road?
The Christ from whom, that precious Blood flow’d?
He was despis’d; we esteem’d Him not,
Yet our very souls, this Christ, has bought.

Do you know the Christ, of Calv’ry’s road?
He can help carry, your greatest load.
Only this Christ can grant, peace and rest,
Joy you will have; for you will be blest!

Do you know the Christ, of Calv’ry’s way?
If not, He cries out, to you today!
This Christ can grant, eternal life above,
Heav’n will be yours, by His wondrous love!

Words of Wisdom
To those who are spiritually blind, He does not exist.
Can you see Jesus?
To those who are spiritually deaf, He does not speak.
Do you hear Jesus speak to you?
To those who will not seek Him, He will not be found.
Have you found Jesus?

Do you know the Christ, of Calv’ry’s road?

The crucifixion of Jesus is the central and basic event in the entire history of the Christian church. Without it, there is NO atonement, NO eternal life! On the cross at Calvary, Jesus took upon Himself our sins. He paid sin's penalty that we could never pay. "He paid a price He did not owe, because we had a debt we could not pay."

NO one loves us like Jesus loves us!

2 Corinthians 5:21  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (KJV)
1 Peter 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: (KJV)
Romans 5:8-10 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (KJV)
1 Peter 1:18-19  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: (KJV)
As Jesus hung on that cross in sheer agony, people mocked Him, just as the Bible said they would! Messianic Prophecies about His death: (Psalms 16:9-11; 22:1-31:5-15; 34:20; 35:11,19; 40:2-14; 41:9; 69,31,34; 55:12-15; 69:8-26; Isa.50:5-7; 52:13-15; 53:1-12; Dan.9:26; Zch.13:7).
One of the criminals that was crucified by the side of Jesus, mocked our precious Lord: "If thou be Christ, save thyself and us." The other one had wised up and realized that Jesus was exactly who He said He was. Luke 23:40-41 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
(KJV) He then turned to Jesus with a very short prayer:  Luke 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. (KJV)
And even in all the agony that Jesus was suffering, the Lord heard this man's wretched cry.  He reached out in mercy and love to the repentant thief: Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. (KJV)
Dear one, I think  this proves that it is never too late to turn to Jesus! This thief was within hours of death, (on his deathbed), and yet Jesus took him to Heaven because of his TRUE repentance! No matter what you may have done in the past, God can and will forgive you IF you are sincere in your repentance. God's grace is greater than our sins! We have an awesome, loving and merciful God!
Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. (KJV) . . . AWESOME! Jesus prayed for those who killed Him! Let us pray for those willingly hurt us in this life.

NO MORES OF HEAVEN

The beauty of our God’s Heaven can’t be told,
It’s unspeakable; and one day we’ll behold!
There’ll be so many things that won’t be there,
I’m looking forward to climbing that stair.

No more pain from troubles or labors long,
No more sickness, no disease; nothing wrong!
No more heart attacks, no cancer, no doctors,
No more old age, no more death held in store.

There shall be no more funerals, e’er again,
No parting, no families, broken by men!
No more poverty, no hunger, no more thirst,
No more afflictions that need to be nursed.

No more oppression of the poor weak folk,
No injustice, that would take their only cloak.
No more suffering, no confusion, no more stress,
No more war, no more crime, no more wickedness!

No more evil, no hatred, and no more lies,
No drunkenness, no hard feelings to deny.
No more meanness, no ugliness, no more strife,
I can’t ev’n imagine this kind of life!

No more pride, no stubbornness, no more fear,
No depressing moments will e’er come near!
No disappointments, no more heartaches deep,
No more worry, no more loneliness to reap.

No more sin of any kind; Satan is gone!
No one to discourage; ‘twill be a new dawn!
Do you want to go to this marvelous place,
Just accept Jesus, you’ll go by God’s grace!

(Rev.ch.21; 22:1-15)

We started this ministry in June 1996, by the urging of the Holy Spirit. The first poem that I wrote down was in August 1995. I did not start recording them until December 1995. Sad to say, as I look back, I know now that He had been putting words in my head, long before this, even before we moved to Texas in 1988. I did not have enough sense to realize what He was doing. Why God gives me these poems has always been a mystery to me. I did not even like poetry! So I shrugged off the convictions of the Holy Ghost. NO! I disobeyed God when I should have been writing down the words that came. The poems are the reason we started the ministry. I am NOT a poet! I have tried to write poems. I cannot do it. They are God's poems, simply jotted down by this humble servant.

Do you see all the above "No mores" of Heaven? What an awesome Place this is! Are you going there when you leave this life on Earth? When I taught Bible Study lessons in nursing homes for over 20 years, I received answers when I asked this question. "I hope so." " I don't think I am good enough." "I don't think anyone can know for sure." ALL wrong answers! You CAN know if you are going to Heaven, and the Bible says so! The apostle John makes it quite clear!
John 20:30 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. (KJV) . . . Do you believe God? Do you believe that you can have eternal life through His Name?
1 John 5:10-13  He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (KJV) . . . Unless you believe on the name of the Son of God, you will NOT go to Heaven. Eternal life is only in Heaven, where the Father is!
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV) . . . Again  . . . the Father is in Heaven! You CAN go where He is, and you can KNOW you are going there. BELIEVE GOD!
I have a great burden on my heart, and it is for those who simply refuse to believe God, because they are going to Hell. We live in a wicked world. There are SO MANY SINS: alternative lifestyles directly opposing God, blasphemy, crimes of all kinds, drunkenness, drug addiction, hatred, homosexuality, lies, murder, sexual perversion of many kinds, rapes of tiny babies, such horrible violence in the streets and in schools, terrorists here and abroad! This will all one day stop! God will tolerate it just so long and then His judgment shall fall, just like the Flood (Gen.6:5; 7:12-24; 1 Pet.3:20); and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen.18:20, 19:4-13,24-28).  Please remember that God CANNOT lie (Tit.1:2). His Promises to the good shall be fulfilled, BUT . . . His Promises to the wicked shall also be fulfilled to the letter! God does NOT ever change! (Mal.3:6; Heb.6:18; 13:8; Jam.1:17).
May the Blessed Lord Jesus grant you peace that the world cannot know!

NO MORES OF HELL

No more wonderful fragrance of a rose,
No more beautiful birds; can you suppose?
No more blue skies, with fluffy clouds so white,
No more children playing, with laughter so bright.

No more peace at heart, no more feeling swell,
No more joyous occasions; not in Hell.
No more fishing or boating on water clear,
Friend, there is no more water, no where near!

No more friendship of joy, found in that throng,
No more comforts of home, no loving song.
No more music or laughter in that place,
No more of God’s mercy, pardon, or grace!

No more light, not even a tiny bit,
No more tranquility, no contentment.
No more goodness of any kind, e’er more,
No more blessings from God will be in store!

No more love, joy, nor happiness in Hell,
Is this the place you have chosen to dwell?
No more beauty of nature on Hell’s banks,
Just darkness forever; ‘twill be so rank!

You’re on the way to Heav’n or Hell this day,
Only Jesus can get you to Heav’n’s way!
But if you do reject God’s only Son,
Hell does await, and agony begun.

Words of Wisdom
With Christ, Endless hope.  Without Christ, a hopeless end.
Death is the last chapter on Earth, but the first chapter in eternity!

I once knew a wonderful woman with a beautiful and loving heart. She was always doing "good" to others around her. She dearly loved her lovely roses. It is quite possible that God gave me the words of this poem because of the burden on my heart for this special lady. I kept trying to tell her about Jesus, but one day, she told me "I do not want you to preach your religion to me any more." She forbid me to tell her any more about Jesus.
I spoke to her many times after she laid down that order to me. I never brought up the subject of "my religion" to her again . . . but IF she brought up the subject, I  told her in a very nice way that it was NOT "my religion" and it was clearly stated in the Bible that it was God's religion and that Jesus was the only way to Heaven. She believed that there were many roads to Heaven.
I tried many times to get her to see the Truth but she had several in her family that were confirmed cultists in one of the devil's better known cults, and her pastor believed that good works could get you to Heaven.
Dear friend, good works CANNOT get you to Heaven. Eternal life is a GIFT from God! (Rom.6:3:24; 23; Eph.2:8-9). You either do things God's Way, believing and accepting Jesus' work on the cross, or Hell shall be your eternal destination.

What Is Hell Really Like??

According to the Bible, your soul is eternal, and you have two options (and only two) to choose from when it comes to deciding where you will spend your life after death. One option is Heaven. The other is Hell. While there seems to be an increased belief in place called Hell, most people do NOT believe that they will go there. They believe that Hell is reserved only for the most hardened of criminals and other "evil" people in our society. But God judges people by a different standard. You are NOT sent to Hell for being a bad person any more than you are sent to Heaven for being a good person. We ALL deserve to spend eternity in Hell (Rom.3:22-23). While God clearly states that those who reject the salvation offered through His Son, Jesus Christ, will spend eternity in this place of torment, He repeatedly gives each person ample opportunity, and MANY chances to choose abundant life on earth and eternal life in Heaven (2 Peter 3:9). If you haven’t made that choice yet, or if you have decided and want a better understanding of what your non-believing friends will have to face, consider these facts about Hell from the pages of Scripture.
Five Facts about Hell:
#1. It is a place of fire (Song 8:6; Lk.1619-31).
#2.  It was exists because of God's wrath on sin (Ps.9:17; Mat.25:41,46).
#3. There are different compartments, one being the lowest hell (Lk.16:19-31; 23:43).
#4. Hell is where those are sent, who die in rebellion (Isa.5:14; 14:9; Rev.20:11-15).
#5.  It will set the foundations of the mountains on fire.
Not one statement here or in any other place in the Bible teaches that "hell" is the grave.
There is no fire in the grave. The soul is eternal and shall be either in Hell OR Heaven!
PLEASE DO CONSIDER THE HORRORS OF HELL! You need NOT go there!

God Does NOT Make Little Promises

God has never, made a ‘little’ Promise,
And God has never, led anyone amiss.
The Promises God makes, are like pure gold,
They are great treasures, He will not withhold.

Such great treasures, that the world passes by,
They don’t consider, they could qualify.
Eternal life, in blissful Heav’n above,
Because God loves us, with tremendous love.

God forgives us, of all our horrid sins,
When we trust and accept Jesus, we win!
He remembers those sins, ne’er any more,
Cast in the sea, ne’er to wash up on shore.

God promises, ne’er to forsake or leave,
No matter our trouble, or when we grieve.
His Promise, I will be with you always,
From our youth to our old age, all our days.

There is no want, to them that fear the Lord,
Such a huge Promise, made clear in His Word.
When our mind is on God, He gives perfect peace,
Peace we can’t understand, that will not cease.

NO one can take us, once we’re in God’s Hand,
We’re safe on the way, to Glory Land.
His immense Promise, life eternally,
NO one can remove it, from you or me.

Not ev’n one ‘little’ Promise, does God make,
All are gigantic, like a huge earthquake!
His Promises are precious, and exceeding great,
Grab them for your own, before it’s too late.

Believe God, for He will do as he states,
Don’t let the devil, your life devastate,
Submit yourself to God, Satan will flee,
With Christ on your side, you’ll have victory!

(KJV) . . . Do you believe?

(KJV)

James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. (KJV)

I Cannot Understand

I cannot understand, eternity,
Its endlessness, is a mystery.
Life in blissful Heav’n, life without end,
This awesome Truth, I can’t comprehend.

No more death, sorrow, crying or pain,
Just the glory of Heav’n’s, wondrous refrain.
God shall wipe away from our eyes, all tears,
And I can’t comprehend, no fears.

A mystery, that we’ll inherit all things,
I simply can’t comprehend, God’s blessings.
God the Father’s children, are with Christ joint heirs,
The best life on Earth, with this can’t compare.

I won’t ever sin, in eternity,
My new body, like Christ’s, will be sin free.
There’ll be no sin in Heav’n, of any kind,
Life without sin on Earth, you’ll not find.

I can’t comprehend, on gold I’ll walk,
And with my loving Saviour, I will talk.
In this city of pure gold, I will be,
With God and His family, eternally.

Jesus loves me, this I know so well,
For He has paid, to keep me from Hell.
I can’t comprehend, my mansion above,
But He has promised it to me, with His love,

So many things, I can’t understand,
But I know I trust Him, I’ll take His Hand.
I believe His Promises, all so true,
And I do understand, He loves me and you!

If I Lift Me Up

If I lift me up, God will put me down,
On all pride and arrogance, He does frown.
If I think I’m better, than any one,
I greatly displease my Saviour, God’s Son.

If I look with scorn, at those on the street,
Dome day I’ll be humbled, at Jesus’ Feet.
If I look with pride, at all that I own,
The Lord’s chastisement, will clearly be shown.

If I think the Lord loves me, more than you,
I certainly am not, one of the “few.”
Pride is strange, it creeps in so subtlely,
Satan is behind it, so deceitfully.

If I think you’re unworthy, of forgiveness,
Judgment of this kind, the Lord will not bless.
I must forgive, or God won’t forgive me,
Satan is glad, when we live sinfully.

Pride is opposite, of humility,
God doesn’t want us to live, arrogantly.
If we lift ourselves up, God will put us down,
We must be careful, if we want a crown.

I must not be puffed up, must not envy,
Ne’er in myself, should I ever glory.
If I want to please God, I must be meek,
Pride and arrogance, I must not seek.

I must realize, I’m nothing at all,
Knowing pride surely comes, ‘fore a fall.
If I some day, want a heavenly crown,
I won’t lift me up, and God won’t have to put me down.

Pride does not play favorites!

Pride is arrogance, conceit, egotism, haughtiness, self-centeredness,  self-importance,  self-satisfaction, smugness, snobbery, vanity. It is thinking you are more than you are.

*** Pharaoh *** Exodus 5:2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go. (KJV) . . . Pharaoh made two definite statements: #1. I do not know the Lord, and, #2. I will not let Israel go. His pride would soon crumble when he finds out just who the LORD is! And he would indeed let the Israelites go.

*** Naaman *** 2 Kings 5:11  But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper. 12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.  (KJV) . . . Naaman was upset because he was a very proud man. He had never received treatment like this before. The Lord is not only going to heal his leprosy, He is also going to heal him of pride. When God saves you, He usually takes out of your life that thing which offends. Pride is one of the things God hates.
*** Uzziah *** 2 Chronicles 26:16 But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense. (KJV) . . . Sometimes success is the worst thing that can happen to a person, because they become lifted up with pride. Pride was Uzziah's downfall. Even though he was a king, he had no right to do the priest's job.

*** Nebuchadnezzar *** Daniel 4:30-32  The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty? 31 While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. 32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. (KJV) . . . A madness fell upon him, causing him to run to the woods and deserts, where he lived like a wild beast, his hairs growing long and thick, acting as a substitute for clothing; and his nails strong and hooked, that he might the better climb trees and grub up the ground, in order to get roots. It was the mercy of God that thus clothed and provided for him. His case seems much like that of the maniac in the Gospel, whose dwelling was among the tombs and in the mountains, and who shunned the society of men (Lk.8:27).
Beware of the sin of pride!

I Could Run

I could run, but I can ne’er hide from You,
You see where I am, and know what I do.
You know the thoughts of my mind, ev’ry one,
You know the end of things, ‘fore they’ve begun.

How could I hide anything from Thy sight?
With You the darkest night, is brilliant light.
When I try to hide, myself I deceive,
Your stern correction, is what I’ll receive.

Running from You O Lord, is foolishness,
When this fool runs from You, You will not bless.
What makes me think that I can outsmart You?
My actions are ne’er, hidden from Your view.

Why can’t I learn that I can’t run and hide?
But instead let You always, be my Guide.
Life wouldn’t be as hard, if I’d obey,
Change me from a fool to a wise man this day.

Continued wrong decisions, and wrong roads,
Will ne’er lead me to Heav’n’s blissful abode.
‘Twill simply bring down, God’s vengeful wrath,
As I try to hide, on that big, broad path.

Running from God, is of no use at all,
In the end, we’ll all hear, His judgment call.
God is so good, WHY do we run away?
When all He wants is to bless us each day.

By: His servant, Connie Kramer Apr.29, 2007 #1135

So many people try to hide from God. It will NOT do one tiny bit of good! He knows exactly where you are, every minute of the day. You can run, but you cannot hide from Him! None of us should want to hide from this awesome God, because He loves us and wants only good for us. He has SO many wonderful blessings He wants to bestow on us. Let us not run from Him, but instead let us run to Him!

Psalm 139:1-12 O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. 2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. 3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. 7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? 8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; 10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. 12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee
. (KJV)

In this Passage, the author rejoices at God's perfect knowledge of man's thoughts and actions; and the reason of this wonderful knowledge, is that God is the Maker of man.

This Psalm reveals something of the attributes of God in relation to His creation. It reveals His omniscience, His omnipresence, and His omnipotence. God is all-knowing (omniscient), He is present everywhere (omnipresent), and He is all-powerful (omnipotent).

In reality, the omniscience of God is not something that we should fear, it should be a great comfort to us. He saved me and yet He knew me, He knew that I was a sinner, He knew exactly who I was . . . yet he saved me! This is amazing. There are some people whom we accept and receive, and then in some way they disappoint you. You thought you knew them, but you really did not know them. God knows us and yet he will save us. How awesome He is! God knew David, and David let Him down. But God knew something about David's faith that we could not see. He could see David's heart, and beneath the faith that failed was a faith that never failed again. The Lord knew what Simon Peter was going to do. He even knew that Judas would betray Him. Even though we don't understand it, that is the omniscience of God. He knows everything.

We can run, long and hard! But we cannot hide from this omniscient God! He knows every single thought we think (Eze.11:5) "for I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them" be they good or bad!
Ecc. 12:14  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. (KJV)

Isaiah 46:9-10  Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: (KJV)

You CANNOT hide from God!

Lord, Here I Am Again

Lord, here I am again, thanking Thee,
For all the great things, You do for me.
My amazement of You, ne’er does cease,
Friendship with You, is absolute peace.

From a deep well, that will ne’er run dry,
Comes endless love, on which I rely.
Abundant blessings, from You do flow,
Blessings always, when to You I go.

Sufficient is our precious Lord’s grace,
Available as we run our race.
His abounding grace is all we need,
When we as His children, His Word heed.

Compassion and mercy, on us He sheds,
When we reverence Him, there is no dread.
On all His children, God has pity,
Abundant compassion, for you and me.

When God forgives us, it is complete,
As far as the west is, from the east.
He forgives all our iniquities,
He casts them into the deepest sea.

Lord, here I am again, thanking Thee,
For all the blessings, You bestow on me.
Amazingly awesome, that is You,
Lord I praise You, for all that You do.

Words of Wisdom
God always gives His best to those who leave the choice up to Him.
Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get.
A heavy heart is made lighter each time you thank and praise the Lord.

BLESSINGS FROM GOD

Matthew 5:3-12  Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (KJV)

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV)

1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. (KJV)

Micah 7:18-19  Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. 19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. (KJV)
Psalm 103:8-13 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. 9 He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. 10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. 13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. (KJV)

CHRIST IS . . .

Christ is the True Light, receive Him today,
He can cast out all darkness in your day.
When we walk with Him, He will light our path,
And my friend, He can keep you, from God’s wrath.

Christ is the True Bread, on Him let us feed,
Spiritually, He is the Food we need.
We will never hunger, never e’er thirst,
If in our heart, we place Christ Jesus first.

Christ is the True Vine, from Him comes our pow’r,
In Him we must abide, ev’ry single hour.
We’re just branches, so helpless on our own,
Without Him we’re nothing, God’s Word has shown.

Christ Jesus is, the True Water of Life,
He can cast away, all our spiritual strife.
He gives to us, His Spirit to abide,
Assuring us of Heav’n, where we’ll reside.

Christ is the True Shepherd, of all God’s sheep,
Leading and guiding, He does tenderly keep.
Of all His flock, He’ll lose not ev’n one,
This wondrous Shepherd, who is God’s own Son.

A True Record of the Father, is the Son,
A record in place, ‘fore the world begun.
If we have Christ Jesus, Heav’n does await,
Reject Jesus, and it’s Hell’s one-way gate.

Christ is the True Witness, ‘tis O so true,
We MUST believe in Jesus, me and you.
Long ago, the prophet of Christ did speak,
The Words of Jesus, let us truly seek.

Words of Wisdom
Knowing the LIVING WORD, is the key to understanding the written Word.
Jesus is the only Bridge over the wide canyon of sin.

Christ is the TRUE Light

John 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. (KJV)
John 12:46  I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. (KJV)

Christ is the TRUE Bread

John 6:32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. (KJV)

Christ is the TRUE Vine

John 15:1-5 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (KJV)

Christ is the TRUE Water

John 4:10-14  Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. 11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? 12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? 13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
