Perfection
Perfection, is what believers strive for,
To be like Jesus each day, more and more.
Why do I sin, why do I go astray?
Perfection for me, seems so far away.
I love the Lord Jesus, deep in my heart,
So why is it, from His love I depart?
I must walk in the light, on that small path,
If I am to avoid, the Father’s wrath.
Far from perfection, when someone I hate,
Dimmer and dimmer to me, is Heav’n’s gate.
Malice and vengeance, should be far from me,
If I want to have, life eternally.
Why do I do, the bad things that I do?
It should always be, good things I pursue.
Why do I say, nasty things that I say?
Perfection is to go, the other way.
Why do I have, such a bad attitude?
My disposition, should never be rude.
My manner should be, one of love and peace,
Conflict and hatred in me, must decrease.
Oh! what a terrible sinner am I,
And this is something, I cannot deny.
I look to the day, when perfect I’ll be,
No sin of any kind, e’er again for me.
One day I’ll have, a sinless new body,
This sinful one, will no longer be with me.
Completely perfect, like my dear Lord,
That in itself, is a wondrous reward!
I look forward, to when perfection arrives,
For now I’ll pray, and for it always strive.
A sinner am I, and always will be,
‘Till the Lord Jesus, gives perfection to me.

SAINTS (God’s children) SHALL . . .
- Rise through Christ. John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: (KJV) 1 Cor. 15:21-22 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. [22] For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (KJV)
- Rise first. 1 Cor. 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. (KJV) 1 Thes. 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (KJV)

- Be glorified with Christ. Col. 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (KJV)
- Be as the angels. Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. (KJV)
- Have incorruptible bodies. 1 Cor. 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: (KJV)

- Have spiritual bodies. 1 Cor. 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. (KJV)
- Have bodies like Christ’s. Philip. 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. (KJV) 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (KJV)
- We should look forward to PERFECTION that shall come to all God’s children. Daniel 12:13; Luke 14:14; Phil. 3:11; 1 Cor. 15:51; 2 Cor. 5:1; 1 Thes. 4:17

ALL FOR THE LIKES OF ME
You left Heaven’s most splendid glory,
And came to Earth, for the likes of me.
You gave up comfort, for grief and pain,
That sinful me, might have eternal gain.
You left the beauty of Heaven above,
And came to man’s evil, all in love.
Tremendous sorrow and agony,
You did go thru’, for the likes of me.
You left Heaven, as great God and King,
And came to Earth, with simply nothing.
You became a humble Servant here,
For the likes of me, that I might not fear.
You left all of the Heavenly hosts,
Came to the sin, of the earthly coasts.
You left the praise and glory above,
And came down to the likes of me, in love.
You left it all; and here had no home,
Left riches; and in poverty, did roam.
Was not accepted, or recognized,
For the likes of me; ‘tis hard to surmise.
Wonderful Jesus, Saviour and Lord,
Died on the Cross, as told in your Word.
All done in great love, given so free,
To take sin away, from the likes of me.

(Jn.1:1-14; Is.7:14; Mt.1:18; Is.ch.53; Mt.8:16-17; Ps.22:6-8; Mt.27:39-40; 8:20)
Our precious Saviour and Lord loved us, loves us, SO much! He did NOT have to leave the safety and glory of Heaven to do what He did for us, but He did! I simply cannot comprehend love like this! And He did it . . . all for the “likes of me,” and you!
WITH HIS STRIPES I AM HEALED
***Isaiah 53:4-5 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. [5] But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (KJV) . . . This is tremendous comfort! I do NOT believe this is speaking of physical healing, it is speaking of something MUCH better . . . spiritual healing . . . a WAY provided by God the Father through His precious Son, Jesus, for us to obtain eternal life in Heaven one day!
He was “smitten of God, and afflicted.” Isaiah makes sure that he tells us the reason God’s only begotten Son was smitten of God and afflicted. Christ was smitten . . . by divine judgments. God allowed it. It was God’s plan for His Son to die on the cross for us. Smitten means Jesus was beaten and received wounds. Afflicted . . . for His sins? . . . NO! He certainly was "afflicted," but NOT for His sins. Christ submitted Himself willingly on our behalf, He was abased, defiled, weakened. “He was wounded for our transgressions.” Wounded means to be rubbed or worn; to be weak, sick, afflicted; to grieve, make sick; put to grief, be grieved, put to pain, for OUR transgressions, OUR rebellion, OUR sin, OUR trespasses.
“He was bruised for our iniquities.” Our precious Saviour and Lord was horribly beaten, crushed, humbled, oppressed. Psalm 22:17 I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. (KJV) Do you see what this is saying? Jesus was beaten SO horrendously that His Bones were exposed! Willingly for us, He paid a debt we could not possibly pay!
“The chastisement of our peace was upon him.” He was wounded for OUR sins. He accepted the beatings willingly so that we might have peace with God. He takes away OUR punishment, OUR correction, OUR rebuke when we accept Him and His Work on the cross.
“With his stripes we are healed.” Stripes means all the punishment Jesus took on our behalf. “With His stripes we are healed.” Of what are we healed? Are we healed of physical diseases? Peter interprets this by the inspiration of the Spirit of God. 1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. (KJV) Healed of what? Peter makes it quite clear that we are healed of our trespasses and sins. We are NOT healed of our physical sickness, but of our spiritual sickness!
***Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (KJV) . . . “All we like sheep have gone astray”. . . not some of us, but all of us. What is the real problem with mankind? Isaiah clearly tells us man has gone his way, far from God’s way. (Prov. 3:6; 14:12).
***Heb.2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; (KJV) That cross is our altar where the Lamb of God takes away the sin of the world. He died for you and me, to heal us spiritually, to give us eternal life in Heaven with Him some day. He loves us! All that He asks is for us to believe what the Bible says about Him in faith.

WHAT HELD HIM THERE?
He hung on that Cross; so bleak and bare,
As He suffered; “What held Him there?”
Was it nails they drove in His Hands?
Or was it great love, for all lands?
He could have called legions of angels,
To take Him down, and His agony quell.
Huge rusty nails in His hands and feet,
Did not hold Him there; ‘twas LOVE so sweet!
Great wondrous love, giv’n for me and you,
Love bound Him secure; vast love and true!
He bought our souls with His precious Blood,
Relieved God’s wrath with that crimson Flood!
Those nails did not hold Him to that tree,
“What held Him there?” love for you and me!
Love so very willing and so true,
Deep heart-felt love, we can’t construe!

Jesus’ Prayer
Any time we are tempted in any way, and desperately desire to overcome, the best possible weapon we have is prayer. This is what our Lord did in Gethsemane. Matthew 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. (KJV) Jesus was NOT rebelling against His Father’s will when He asked that the upcoming suffering and separation be taken away. His prayer reveals His horrifying suffering. His agony was worse than death because He paid for all sin by being separated from God. The sinless Son of God took our sins upon Himself to save us from suffering and separation. Why is it that the majority of people can’t see this?
Jesus knew what lay ahead of Him, and He knew the reason. But even so, His struggle was intense; more agonizing than any struggle we will ever have to face.
Prayer is the key to open Heaven and shut the gates of Hell. Prayer is a shield which will protect and a sword with which we can fight temptation. When Jesus prayed in Gethsemane, it was a lonely, agonizing prayer.
Jesus’ prayer was an extremely humble prayer. Luke says He knelt (Luke 22:41), but Matthew says He “fell on His Face.” The King of kings “fell on His Face.” My friend, if our Saviour humbled Himself, we must do the same. Humility is one of the greatest benefits in prayer. Only if we humble ourselves before God, will He ever lift us up. Pride will get us no where with God.
Jesus prayer was also a respectful and obedient prayer. Matthew says He said “O my Father.” Mark says He said “Abba, Father” (Mark 14:36). Respect and obedience is also a great benefit in our prayers. Don’t ever be ashamed to go to God and say: “My Father, hear my cry. I need Your help.” Plead and beg to Him as a child.
Jesus prayer was also persevering. He prayed three times, using the same words (Mat.26:39, 42, 44). We should not be content until we prevail. Continue in prayer, but do as Jesus did, ask that God’s will be done, NOT yours. You have really grown in Christ when you can go to the Father and make a request, adding “Thy will be done.”
Jesus prayer was earnest. “And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly.” The groans our Lord uttered in Gethsemane. His prayer was sincere and heart-felt. The words came from deep within His pain-racked soul. The tears He shed came from the deep fountains of His very nature. Sincerity is also a great benefit to us when we pray.
Jesus prayer was a prayer of surrender. Nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Yield and God will yield. Accept God’s will, and God will give you only His best. Always be content and let God have the last say. He knows how to give, what to give, when to give and when to withhold. Surrender your all to Him and His abundant blessings are yours forever more.
Our Saviour’s Power
Did Christ prevail in His prayer? He could never prevail in Heaven if He had not prevailed on earth. How did He prevail in His prayer? 1. The Father gave Him comfort and calmed His soul. Instead of His soul being “exceeding sorrowful” He was calm after His prayer.
Mark 14:42 Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand. (KJV) After His prayer, He calmly woke the disciples and told them Judas was on his way to betray Him. The Father heard His Son’s cry and breathed deep peace into His soul, peace like a gentle river. 2. The Father strengthened Jesus through an angel. How? It is not stated. It was either something the angel said or did, perhaps just by his presence there Jesus knew His father had sent him. Matthew 4:11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. (KJV) The Father had sent His angels before, to help Jesus; after He was tempted in the wilderness by Satan. We do not know what the angel did to strengthen Jesus in Gethsemane, but he did. 3. The Father also gave Jesus victory over Satan. Some commentators think Jesus paid more of the price in the garden than He did on the cross. Personally I think our Lord paid the price for us, BOTH in Gethsemane and on the cross.
When we are in temptation, let us ask Christ that our faith does not fail. Ask Him my friend to “increase our faith” that we may stand up against the wiles of the devil.
Jesus said no to His human desires in order to obey His Father and glorify Him. Although we will never have to face such a difficult and awesome task, we are still called to obedience. Whatever the Father asks, we should do His will and bring glory to His Name.
So, what held Him on the cross? His love for us!

What Is Important To You?
What in this life, is important to you?
As you consider this, what has most value?
Is it your home, or other property?
Do you ever think, of eternity?
What in this life, is your prized possession?
Think, as you take all, in consideration.
Does eternity, ever enter your mind?
Or to this fact, are you deaf, dumb and blind?
In this life on Earth, the vast majority,
Never think of where, they’ll spend eternity!
God’s Word states, there are just two destinations,
The bliss of Heaven, or Hell’s damnation.
Jesus is the Truth, the Life and the Way,
Only He can get you, to Heaven one day!
Have you considered Christ, a priority?
As you walk the road, to eternity?
Christ Jesus should be, of great value to you,
As you live in this wicked world, so untrue.
Don’t let this world’s pleasures, lead you astray,
‘Tis a huge mistake, you will pay for one day!
The devil will lead you, to worldly treasure,
And tempt you, with forbidden pleasure.
Beware my friend, don’t let Satan take control,
He will lead you to Hell, and destroy your soul!

Words of wisdom
We are given this life on Earth to decide where we shall spend eternity. Choose wisely!

No Fear of God!!!
The fear of God, is something people exclude,
Reverence, respect, obedience, we must include!
Yet in today's world, there is NO fear of the Lord,
They simply oppose Him, and twist His Holy Word.
The fear of God, must always take first place,
Neglecting this respect, you'll NOT see Jesus' Face!
We must fear God, both now and for e'er more,
If we e'er want to walk, on Heaven's wondrous shore!
God's Holy Book, always leads us in right paths,
But, when we don't fear Him, it brings down His wrath!
He wants His children, on the narrow and strait,
For just that road leads us, to Heaven's entrance gate!
With NO fear of God, Judgment Day will terrify!
Judge Jesus will cast you, into Hell's agony!
There you will remain, for all eternity,
The choice is yours: Hell OR Heaven's beauty!
Few in today's pulpits, teach the 'fear of God,'
Twisting, deceiving Truth, bringing it down to fraud.
NO reverence for God, leaves just one place to go,
Stay on the devil's road, and Hell you'll soon know!
People today, want only to hear good things,
They don't want to hear of sin, and what it brings!
So the "Word-Faith" heretics, kick it into gear,
Bringing the false garbage, people want to hear!
Man's vain doctrines, will NEVER save your soul,
Believe God, trust Christ, let Jesus have control!
Just Jesus can give you, life eternally,
Friend, believe it, or you shall get, Hell's agony!

I have great concern for the people in our country today. People just do NOT want to hear the Truth of God's Word. But, that has been going on for a l-o-n-g time (Isa.30:9-11). I truly fear for the souls of those who refuse to reverence (fear) our awesome triune God, determined to go their way in disobedience to Him, and act as though He did not exist. God DOES exist! And He NEVER lies. BEWARE!!!
Below are some Scripture verses clearly stating that those who do NOT reverence (fear) God, or obey Him, will NOT go to Heaven.
Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, [20] Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, [21] Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. [KJV]
Sensual Sins: Adultery, fornication, prostitution, uncleanness (impurity) which is sexual sins including homosexuality and pornography. Lasciviousness is brutality, sadism, violence which we see abounding in our day; also it means inclined to lustfulness; wanton; lewd, arousing sexual desire (by way of dress or actions). Synonyms vulgar, crude, dirty.
Religious Sins: Idolatry which is worship of idols, or anything or anyone other than God, including money, pleasure. Witchcraft is associated with worship of Satan, also includes drugs . . . which are used in all heathen religions. Hatred is enmity, hostility, aggression, anger. Variances is strife, contentions, quarrels.
Social Sins: Emulations is rivalry, jealousy. Wrath is anger, and a hot temper. Strife is division, gangs,
little cliques in a church hurt the cause of Christ. Seditions is divisions. Heresies is parties, sects. Envyings is jealousy, covetousness. Murder, the Lord said if you hate you are guilty of murder, also see (1 Jn.3:15).
Personal Sins: Drunkenness, revelings (wild parties), wantonness.
Paul concludes this list of the works of the flesh by "and such like," which means there are many more that he could have mentioned. Also see: Eph.5:5; Rev.21:8; Jn.3:18,36; 8:24; Heb.2:3; 10:26-29. "They which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God" indicates continuous action. A good illustration is the Prodigal Son who ended up in the pig pen, but he did NOT stay there. The only ones that stay in a pig pen are pigs. If a son gets there, he will get out! To willingly continue to live in sin is extremely dangerous.
??How Can You Get to Heaven??
First of all, you must understand that Heaven is NOT a reward for good behavior, and Hell is NOT a punishment for misbehavior. You could NEVER stock up enough "good points" in your entire lifetime to get you access to Heaven. God clearly tells us our "righteousnesses are as filthy rags" (Isa.64:6). So, considering this gruesome fact, how do we get in the Door of Heaven?
Well, my friend, there is only ONE Door (Gate) into Heaven and that is Christ Jesus, the Son of Almighty God. Without Him, only Hell awaits. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [KJV] . . . Jesus' Words.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. [KJV] . . . There are some who teach that when we die, we are dead forever. That is a "damnable heresy" (2 Pet.2:1). It is a LIE! Our soul is ETERNAL! It will live in one of two places for eternity! Then there are those who teach that everyone will live in Heaven. This too is a LIE! Jesus clearly tells us there will be only a "few" (Mat.7:13-14) who make it Heaven. Our Lord taught SO much on Hell. WHY?? Because He does NOT want anyone to go there. He warns of the agony of Hell, yet some people teach "a loving God would not send anyone to Hell." Another LIE. When God sends someone to Hell, it is not because He likes it. But, IF He didn’t do as He states in His Word, He would be a "liar" and He is NOT a liar (Titus 1:2). He clearly tells us who WILL and who WILL NOT be in Heaven.
??Is There Really A Hell??
Have you ever wondered if there is truly a place called Hell? Have you ever wondered "Will I go there?" IF you don’t KNOW you are going to Heaven (Jn.20:31; 1 Jn.5:13), then chances are, you will go to Hell.

The BOOK OF LIFE
In the “Book of Life”, your name must be,
To have life in Heaven, eternally.
Many will ask, “Do I qualify?”
Yes! If you accept Christ, and on Him rely.
Do you truly believe, what God does say?
Millions do not, and go their own way.
God gave us the Bible, as a Guide,
To rightly lead us, where we can reside.
God is a God of Truth, He does not lie,
On Him and His Word, we must rely.
Wisdom can be found, only in His Word,
‘Tis a fool who turns his back, on the Lord.
God loves us, and wants us as His own,
That’s why in the Bible, the Way is shown.
We must be born, into God’s family,
Or we’ll never have, life eternally!
Are you wise, or are you a fool this day?
Are you an the narrow, or the broad way?
Only two roads lead, to eternity,
You choose: Heaven’s bliss, or Hell’s agony.
In the “Book of Life”, if your name is there,
All with the Lord Jesus, one day we’ll share.
But we must believe God, and Him obey,
Believe the Bible, there’s no other way.

Words of Wisdom
Choosing to study the Word of God, is one of the wisest things anyone can ever do!
Worldly wisdom is temporal . . . Godly wisdom is eternal!
Psalm 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. (KJV)
I truly have a burden for lost souls. I think that burden gets heavier with each passing day. "Why?" You might ask. Because I have studied the Bible, and taught its Truths for almost 40 years. I KNOW what God says about the eternal future. I KNOW that there are only TWO roads that we can travel in this life.
Mat. 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: (KJV)
As you read this, YOU are on one of those two roads! The vast majority of people in the world are on that first road . . . the "broad" one that leads to "destruction." "Wide is the gate" . . . easy to enter. "Broad is the way" . . . easy to travel. "That leadeth to destruction" . . . eternal destruction of HELL! "Many there be which go in thereat" . . . multitudes are deceived and lured onto this road that you do NOT want to be on!
Mat.7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (KJV) . . . "Strait is the gate" . . . small is the gate. "Narrow is the way" . . . the road is narrow and hard going, NOT because it is hard to find, but because people prefer to walk on that easy road. "Which leadeth unto life . . . it is only this narrow road that leads to eternal life in Heaven. "Few there be that find it" . . .WHY? don't more people "find" it? It is NOT because it is strait, or narrow, or small in itself. It is because we want to take with us our pride, self-will and beloved sins. THAT the Lord will NOT allow! Few there be that find it . . . because it has to be looked for! The “strait gates” in the old times were in corners, were narrow and were only opened to those who knock. Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. (KJV) . . . Jesus puts this a little more forceful here!
What about the Book of Life?
Just WHAT does God say about this "Book"? He speaks of it quite often. There are 8 verses in the New Testament with the words "Book of Life" (Phip.4:3; Rev.3:5; 13:8; 17:8; 20:12,15; 21:27; 22:19), but there are verses through out the Bible (Ex.32:32-33; Deut.29:20; Ps.56:8; 69:28; 109:13-14; Dan.12:1; Lk.10:20). God loves mankind. He wants us to spend eternity with Him in His Home in Heaven. In His Book, the Bible, the Holy Word of God, He clearly tells us what we must do to make this possible . . . and He also tells us what we must NOT do. That is why it is one of the wisest things anyone can ever do, to open the Bible and see what God is saying top us!
Rev. 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. (KJV)
HOW do we overcome? God tells us that! 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? (KJV)
WHO is "born of God"? John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (KJV) John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (KJV)
Rev. 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (KJV)
Rev. 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (KJV)
Rev. 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. (KJV) . . . God tells us HOW to get to Heaven. Are you wise enough to listen to Him? John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Psalm 73:24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. 25 Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. (KJV)

Who Don't?
Who don't . . . want to go to Heav'n one day?
But, "few" choose to walk, that narrow way!
God's Word clearly states, "trust and obey,"
And says the Jesus, is the only Way!
Who don't . . . want God to forgive their sins?
Faith in Jesus, is the Way to win!
Justified by His grace, we are God's heir,
Because on the cross, our sin Christ did bear!
Who don't . . . want the blessing of God's peace?
And the chain of the devil, released?
With the armor of God, we stand tall,
Without it, Satan wins, and we fall!
Who don't . . . want the Lord's amazing grace?
And one day to see, His awesome Face?
When we can thank Him, for all He's done,
Our precious Redeemer, God's own Son!
Who don't . . . want to meet Christ in the sky?
This is for all, who would not Christ deny.
A special meeting, on a special day,
When our new bodies, we will display!
Who don't . . . want the Father's Divine love?
Great love sent from Him, from far above!
What a fantastic day that will be,
When we get to Heav'n, eternally!

Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.(KJV) . . . For many years, I have thought about these two roads we have in this life. The "broad" road, where the devil is, it is not dark, dreary traveling, it is instead a place made very exciting and inviting by the devil. The "narrow" road is called "strait" meaning narrow, not easy. Think about these roads as 'funnels'. When a person enters the broad road, he enters at the w-i-d-e end, where Satan is. As he travels, that road, like a funnel, the road starts to narrow, getting smaller and smaller, it keeps narrowing until he cannot get off, and it eventually leads to death, destruction and Hell.
Now consider that narrow road. When a person enters this narrow road, where Christ is, they enter at the small end of a funnel. BUT, the longer he travels that road, the wider it becomes, the easier is the going. The longer you walk with Him, the wider that road gets, it keeps widening and it eventually leads to eternal life in Heaven. This road is similar to the river flowing out from the throne of God which started as a little stream and widened out until it became a great river (Ezekiel chapter 47). I think this give a nice picture of the life of a child of God . . . it gets better every day.
Rom. 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (KJV) Micah 7:18-19 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. 19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. (KJV) . . . When we believe god (1 Jn.5:10-13), and accept His one and only Way to Heaven (Jn.3:15-18,36; 5:24; 8:24; 14:6), we are "justified" (declared NOT guilty in the courts of Heaven) by faith.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (KJV) . . . When we become God's child (Jn.1:12-13), Jesus gives us His peace. We are saved by faith in Christ Jesus and the amazing grace of God (Eph.2:8; Col.1:6; Tit.2:4).
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (KJV) 1 Thes. 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. (KJV) . . . We shall all be changed "in the twinkling of an eye." In a fraction of a second. There will not even be time to say "He is here!"
Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (KJV) . . . Check out the 'things' mentioned here! Everything is included! NOTHING can ever separate a TRUE child of God from His awesome and never-ending love! We are privileged indeed, to say the least! Have you thanked Him for all He has done for you? If not, why not?

I SEE JESUS EVERYWHERE
On each scarlet rose, I see so pure,
The crimson Blood of my dear Saviour.
When I see a flower, I see His Face,
Filled with such beauty, love, and grace!
In the sun, I see His ne’er ending Light,
Stars remind me of His eyes, so bright.
Rain makes me think of the tears He shed,
For you and me; out of love, not dread.
When I see a great oak tree, so tall,
I feel His strength, that won’t let me fall.
Too, when I see a tree, I’m at a loss,
For in every tree, I see His Cross.
Thunder makes me think of His voice so strong,
That He’ll use in judgment of all wrong.
With His breath He does make the sea obey,
A raging storm; or calmed, and stayed.
When I see a vine, twisted with thorns,
I think of the ‘crown’ He had adorned.
He died on that Cross to set us free,
But nearly all people from Him flee.
I see Him always; He’s all around,
When I look at the sky, or on the ground.
The gentle breeze makes me know He’s near,
He’s always close, I’ve nothing to fear.

Words of Wisdom
Seeing Jesus with your Heart is the wisest thing you can do!
Then when you see Him with your heart, you too can see Him everywhere!
2 Cor. 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (KJV) . . . "The god of this world" . . . I think that the devil should be called "the god of this age." Even though sin has marred it, this is still God's world.
Satan is the god of this age. He is running it. He runs this country, he runs the United Nations; he runs all the amusements; he runs everything in today's time. He is the god of this age, and he has "blinded the minds of them which believe not." Any time you hear someone say, "I don't understand the Gospel." WHY don't they understand it? What happened? The answer is in the above Scripture! The Devil has blinded their eyes! It is broad daylight outside, but the Devil has blinded their eyes and they CANNOT see.
Then there are those who say, "There are things in the Bible that I simply do not believe." The problem is that there is sin in their life, and ALL sin is condemned by the Bible. People do NOT want to believe the Truth of the Bible, because they would have to turn from that sin. If a person chooses to continue indulging in their sins, they can keep on doing that . . . BUT . . . it is your loss. OR . . . you can turn to Christ and the Holy Spirit will make that Bible come alive for you, and you shall know it is TRUE!
The devil will keep a person blind and deaf until they decide to turn to Jesus, Who is the only One Who can give them spiritual sight! When this happens, the change is amazing! You will be amazed at what all you will see, that you never saw before, and all the blessings that will come your way.
Isaiah 59:10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men. (KJV) . . . Before a person lets Jesus into their heart and life, this is pretty much what their life is like. They never do see the beauty that is all around them, in every direction! And in each beautiful flower or tree or mountain or creature, you will see Jesus in some mysterious way. With me, it is just the thought that each and every object or person or animal I look at, there is NO two alike. There is no god anywhere that can compare with our awesome triune God, the Creator of this Universe! I truly feel sorry for those who say that there is no God, and that the world came into being by the so-called Big-bang theory. How utterly ridiculous!
I SEE Jesus everywhere! I know there IS a God. I believe the Bible. I know because I feel His Presence near me in times of trouble, heartache and sickness. He NEVER leaves me, NEVER forsakes me! Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (KJV)
Isa 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (KJV)

I’D BE DOOMED!
A fish out of water, that’s what I’d be,
Without my Saviour, who gives victory!
Problems would seem, to have no end in sight,
I praise You Jesus, for Your glorious Light!
I’d be like a bird, with a broken wing,
If I did not have Jesus, as my King!
I’d be so alone, when things would go wrong,
Because on my own, I’m weak, never strong!
Without my Shepherd, I’d be a lost sheep,
Headed for the pits of Hell, e’er so deep.
To all the dangers, myself I couldn’t defend,
On my Saviour and Lord, I must depend!
I’d be like a person, who could not swim,
Tossed into deep waters, so dark and grim.
Without my Saviour, I surely would die,
But with Him near, I can trust and rely!
Like a dog with only three legs to walk,
Without Christ Jesus, predators would stalk!
But with Him by my side, I’ve nought to fear,,
For I am assured, His Presence is near!
I’d be like a rose, with its beauty gone,
I would surely be the old devil’s pawn.
Without my Lord, Satan has full control,
Hell would be, the destiny of my soul!
I would be doom’d, without my precious Lord,
All my cries for help, would never be heard.
But I praise the Name, of God’s only Son,
Accepting Him, gives eternal salvation!

Words of Wisdom
All hope of Heaven rests in Christ. Only with Jesus in our life do we have a solid HOPE!
?With or Without Christ?
In the Bible "Darkness" is a symbol for evil and the power of Satan. (Eph.6:12; Col. 1:13)
Light is a symbol of Christ and everything good. (Mal.4:2; Luke 2:32; John 1:7-9)
To be without Christ is REALLY being in the dark.
Without Christ is to have NO hope.
NO hope of a good life. NO hope of forgiveness. NO hope for eternal life in Heaven.
All hope of Heaven rests in Christ. Only with Jesus in our life do we have a solid HOPE!
Without Christ is to have NO Truth.
All that is Christ is Truth. All that is without Christ is false.
2 Tim. 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. [KJV]
Without Christ is to have NO direction.
Only with Christ will you get right directions for this life, and the life to come.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV) . . . Without Christ a person is totally lost in the dark.
Sickness comes when we are without Christ. It also comes when we have Christ, but He walks with us through it. Only when we get to Heaven will there be NO sickness. . . . Rev. 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (KJV)
War and rumors of wars are because people are without Christ. James 4:1-2 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? [2] Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. (KJV) . . . All the fighting between the nations is because the world is without Christ. Fighting, turmoil and crime is the result of a nation without Christ.
Family trouble comes from people without Christ. 2 Tim. 3:2-4 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, [4] Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; (KJV) . . . Children would obey parents, husbands and wives would get along if they had Christ in their lives.
In our lives we have doubt and fear. We cannot see doubt, worry, depression or fear, but we can sure feel them. And when strong enough, these can cause great problems for us. Consider a person without Christ. First doubt set in, “I don’t know if I can get out of here.” Then fear takes over! “I’m going to die.” First the doubt, “Is there really a Hell where sinners go? How can I pay for my sins?” Then panic! “Will I go to Hell?” Without Christ, the answer is YES according to the Bible.
There are also false doctrine. Without Christ, the way is open to all false doctrines of the devil. Only with Christ can false doctrine be stopped. People are vulnerable to the part truths of the devil without Christ. And those part-truths can lead to Hell.
Afraid to face death. Jesus brings us face to face with the fact that we will die one day. He tells us straight, there shall be judgment after death. Those without Christ are afraid. Even the most fearful person, if they really knew Jesus, would not be afraid, for there is NOTHING to fear with Christ on your side. Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. We ALL would be "doomed" if we did not have the Lord Jesus Christ! John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (KJV) 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. (KJV) . . . Jesus loves you. Do YOU love Him? Perfect love is complete faith and trust in Jesus!

REGRETS
I do regret, all those wasted years,
I heard Him knock, but stopp’d up my ears.
Many things I did, I should not have done,
I just turned my back, on God’s own Son.
Wasted years, when I could have obey’d,
But my hard heart, sent me the other way.
Never thinking, of eternity,
I just kept on, with my iniquity.
Those regrets brought on, some awful woes,
Then one day I thought about, Hell below.
Of death, I was simply, terrified,
I feared what would happen, if I died.
Those wasted years, I really regret,
When I realized, Christ paid my debt.
On the cross, Christ Jesus died for me,
From Hell’s horrid pit, I have vict’ry!
I could have been serving, my dear Lord,
Holding onto His belov’d, Hand nail scarr’d.
Reaching out, to His many, lost sheep,
Telling them Christ could, tenderly keep.
Just how many souls, could I have reached,
With the Good News, I should have preached.
A big, dark blot, are all those wasted years,
In my conscience, a horrible spear.
Now I serve Him, e’er so willingly,
For I know there’s life, eternally.
When you hear Christ knock, OPEN the door,
There is much to consider, much in store!
God will never, force you to serve Him,
But life without Him, is dreary and dim.
You too, like me, can regret what you do,
Open or shut your heart’s door, it’s up to you!

Rev. 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (KJV) . . . This is a incredible and beautiful mind-picture of the Lord Jesus Christ (GOD) at the door of the sinner's heart. It is a wonderful picture. Holman Hunt, tried to convey this idea on canvas. He painted Christ standing at a door. When he painted the picture, he asked his artist friends to pass judgment on it. One of them said, "You did not put a handle on the door." Hunt replied, "This is a picture of the human heart, and the handle of the door is only on the inside." This is the picture of Christ we have in our life. He stands at the door and knocks. He will not crash the door. We must open it or it stays closed!
"I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." This speaks of fellowship, of feeding on the Word of God, and of coming to know our Lord Jesus Christ better, day by day.
I don't know about you, but I heard Him Knock! Time and time again, He knocked, and I refused to hear, refused to open that door to Him. I just did not want to be tied down to restrictive rules of the Bible. What a big surprise I had! I finally wised up, and did open that door. I was NOT tied down . . . I was set free! John 8:34-36 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (KJV) . . . If you continue in a life of sin, you are a servant of sin. God is SO holy and pure, none of us can go through one day without sinning, but the child of God comes to the Father every day and confesses his sin. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (KJV) . . . The children of the devil (1 Jn.3:10; Mat.13:38; 8:44) will never do that. They do NOT want to admit they are sinners. They are just too proud to ask for forgiveness. The Son makes us free indeed. We do not have to be the servant of sin. He intends us to live for Him by the power of the Holy Spirit.
When we open our heart's door to Jesus, our lives change, drastically. This is NOT by any desire or power of ours, but by the plan and amazing grace of Almighty God. We will continue to sin, but we can be cleansed from that sin by confessing those sins to God in prayer. Opening that door puts us on the right road in this life, the road we walk with Jesus, that leads to eternal life in Heaven with Him.
Words of Wisdom
If God were not willing to forgive sin, Heaven would be empty.
Better to go to Heaven in rags, than to go to Hell in finery.
Earth has no sorrow, that Heaven cannot heal.

PRAISING GOD FOR WHO HE IS
For who You are dear Lord, I praise You,
Almighty God, and Creator too!
Majestic Being, omnipotent,
The only One who is omniscient.
Of the universe, You have control,
From the starry Heav’n, to the rocky shoal.
The oceans their boundaries never leave,
Yet millions reject You; they won’t believe!
Why do You send tremors, this Earth to shake,
Splitting the Earth in a violent quake?
Are You trying to get people’s attention?
That they may flee to You, for salvation!
Molten lava down the mountain side spews,
Astonished people, their safety pursue.
Are You trying to tell them, You’re in control?
That You truly want to save their very soul!
Why do You send vicious hurricanes?
With destructive winds and tumultuous rains?
Are You showing Your majestic pow’r?
This we should consider, ev’ry hour!
O Lord, You control ev’ry single thing,
From fish in the sea, to birds on the wing!
You control the wind, sunshine and rain,
Nothing You ever do, is done in vain!
All natural disasters, You can bring,
These sorrows could be disguised as blessings.
We should ponder the pow’r and wisdom of You,
The One and only Almighty God so true!

PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING
Prayer, praise and thanksgiving are all rolled together in one package. A close association exists between them all. Praise and thanksgiving are very much alike; so it is not easy to distinguish between the two, nor describe them separately.
There are many reasons to be thankful and to praise God. The Psalms are filled with songs of praise and thanksgiving; all pointing to prayer being answered. Thanksgiving really is gratitude. It really is our inward heart-felt gratitude to God for all mercies He has bestowed upon us. Gratitude is an inward emotion of the heart and soul, which rises involuntarily within us; while thanksgiving is our voluntary expression of that gratitude. Thanksgiving is spoken, direct and active. It is words given out to God, which is actually the “fruit of our lips” (Heb. 13:15). Thanksgiving and praise are done in the open, never hidden. When we love the Lord, we are grateful for what He’s done and want to tell Him!
Gratitude is secret, silent, passive, not showing itself until it is expressed in our praise and thanksgiving. Gratitude is a feeling in the heart; while thanksgiving is the expression of that inward feeling. Thanksgiving is simply giving thanks to God for something He has done for us. It is a “sacrifice of praise” (Heb. 13:15) to God any time we express in words, the gratitude which we feel in our heart for blessings we have received. Heart felt gratitude should NEVER be held back, but always expressed. The gratitude we feel generates our thanksgiving and praise to God for all His mercies.
Praise is showing our gratitude and commitment to God for all the mercies He has bestowed upon us. When we think of all the past mercies and blessings, our heart is inwardly moved. We are grateful to Him. When our prayers are answered, it creates gratitude within us, and that gratitude accompanies a love that gladly declares it. When we consider God’s mercies to us, it not only produces gratitude, but brings about exaltation to God for all that we have and are. Prayer, thanksgiving and exaltation are all joined together. Gratitude and thanksgiving looks to the past, and prayer looks to what is to come. Thanksgiving is inspired by things already received, prayer is concerned with things we still need, and expect from Him. Prayer changes to gratitude and praise when the things we have asked for have been given by God. Answered prayer promotes our gratitude and thanksgiving, and praise and gratitude promote prayer; it’s a wonderful never ending circle!
Gratitude, thanksgiving and praise are completely opposite of grumbling and complaining. Gratitude and complaining NEVER live in the same heart! Unappreciation and indifference cannot reside with gratitude and praise. Being dissatisfied and discontent are enemies of gratitude, thanksgiving and praise. Anyone who complains is ungrateful! God is grieved when we murmur and complain. IF we murmur and complain, we will not praise and thank God. We must not forget God, His goodness and His mercies. We should ALWAYS be thankful (Col. 3:15). Praise and thanksgiving is what we will do in the eternal realm of Heaven; and we will never, ever grow weary of this pleasant task.
Words of Wisdom
A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, it is the parent of all other virtues.
Thanksgiving was not ever meant to be used in one single day.
We bless God when we offer up gratitude and praise to Him.
The worship most acceptable to God comes from a thankful and loving heart.
If you give thanks for little things, bigger blessings may arrive.

JESUS
Jesus was God, as He walked this Earth as Man,
Jesus embodied, God’s eternal Plan!
Jesus came to save this wicked world,
Only thru’ Jesus, is God’s Plan unfurl’d!
Jesus was God, so He knew all of man’s thoughts.
Jesus constantly, the old devil fought!
Jesus paved the way, for all to go to Heav’n,
To “whosoever” believes, salvation is giv’n.
Jesus was God, so He knew what would be,
Jesus knew just a “few” would see Heav’n’s beauty!
Jesus knew ‘most’ would follow the broad path,
Leading to destruction, and God’s holy wrath.
Jesus was truly God, all those many years ago,
Jesus brings salvation, God wants you to know!
Blissful life in Heav’n, for all eternity,
Achieved just thru’ Jesus; for you and me!
Jesus said, in life there are just two roads,
And just the narrow one, leads to Heav’n’s abode.
Only a “few” will ever make it in,
Because to God, unbelief is a great sin!
Jesus is still God, in this world today,
Jesus is still to Heav’n, the only way!
Will you be one of the fortunate “few”?
That receive eternal life, in Heav’n anew?

John 3:15-16 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV)
Truths about JESUS
The Creator of the Universe came to Earth as one of its creatures, leaving the power and glory He had in Heaven, knowing that He would die.
His mother, Mary was NOT the spouse of the Holy Spirit as some teach. She was the spouse of Joseph.
Mary was/is NOT the mother of God! God is eternal. God has NO mother! Mary was the honored and privileged mother of the Man, Jesus, NOT the mother of God.
Mary did NOT remain a virgin after the birth of Jesus. Mat.1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus. (KJV) . . . Also Luke 2:7. Mat.13:55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? (KJV) . . . Jesus had brothers.
Joseph was NOT His father, but as a child, Jesus loved and obeyed him as if he were.
Very little is said about His early childhood, except when He astounded the rabbis when He was 12 (Luke 2:41-52).
His glory was veiled in human flesh. Daniel 9 and Nehemiah 2 clearly foretold about the Messiah, but only a few recognized Him when
He came: Anna and Simeon (Luke 2:25-38) knew Him immediately as a Baby. Later on, His miracles should have revealed Him but in most cases did not.
John the Baptist saw His sinlessness (Mat.3:14), but later doubts entered his mind.
The vast majority despised His purity, as stated by the prophets (Ps.35:19; 69:4; 119:161). They hated Him without a cause.
The Pharisees hated Him and feared for their jobs. They knew His miracles were real but still wanted Him dead. Their hearts were deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked (Jer.17:9).
Devils recognized Him. Mat.8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? (KJV) . . . Jesus cast out demons by His own authority and power, and they obeyed Him (Mat.8:28-32; Mark1:25; Luke 4:35).
The Universe, which He had spoken into existence (Gen.1:3,6,14; Rom.4:17; Heb.11:3; John 1:3,10; Col. 1:16), knew and obeyed His voice (Mark 4:39,41). He calmed storms with a simple word.
It is NOT enough to just know OF Jesus, we must know Him personally. We must worship Him in spirit and truth (John 4:24). Saying “I love You” is NOT enough! We must love Jesus with all our heart and soul and mind (Mat.22:37), then reveal it to the world.
1 Tim. 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. (KJV) The mystery of His incarnation is absolutely unique. God was unveiled . . . in the Flesh. The only perfect godly Man ever to exist, came to this wicked, rebellious Earth, from a perfect, pure Heaven where He was with His Father from eternity past (John 1:1-3).
He came to Earth to die for our sins. He was completely sinless, even though He faced every temptation known to mankind. Jesus' Godly character made it impossible for Him to ever sin in any way. He did no sin (1 Pet.2:22), knew no sin (2 Cor.5:21), in Him is no sin (1 John 3:5). His Sacrifice for us was perfect.
Even though the eternal Son of God, through the virgin birth, became fully Man . . . He remained fully God. Because He was sinless, He could make a Perfect Sacrifice for us sinners. Only He could pay the full penalty for our sins (Rom.3:9-28).
Words of Wisdom
TRUE religion is built upon the ROCK, all the others are cast upon the waves of time.
Some want a religion that makes them reputable, but does not demand that they be so.
A person becomes a Christian, he is NOT born one.
