All Too Often
Wisdom in decisions, is what I ask,
For oft I encounter, difficult tasks,
All too often, I will choose the wrong paths,
Bringing down upon me, your righteous wrath.
Love in my heart, when I face enemies,
For I must consider, eternity.
All too often, when I am hurt, I hate,
This my Lord Jesus, does not appreciate.
Patience in my life, sometimes I do lack,
I ask Lord, that I stay on the right track.
Quick temper, not thinking before I speak,
Let me be like Jesus, patient and meek.
All too often I think and do wrong things,
Leading me away from the Lord’s blessings.
The devil steps in, and tempts me to stray,
Oh! Lord, please keep me on that narrow way.
Oft I consider, pleasures of the world,
As Satan tempts me, with riches unfurl’d.
I clearly do need You Lord, by my side,
If I in Heaven, e’er want to reside.
I claim Your Promise, that You won’t forsake,
For when You are near, less errors I make.
Give me wisdom Lord, to walk in Your Light,
For the devil can’t stand, Your path so bright.

Psalm 90:12; Pro. 2:3; 23:12,19; James 1:5; Heb:13:5; Mat.4:16; Luke 1:79; 2:32;
John 1:4.9; 3:19,21; 8:12; 9:5; 12:35; 12:46; Acts 26:23; 2 Cor.4:2; 8:21; Eph.5:14;
1 John 1:5; 2:8; 2 John 1:4,6; 3 John 1:3
It is that time of year again! The older I get, the faster time seems to go. When New Year’s Day rolls around, millions of people make resolutions as to how they will change their lives for the better. The vast majority of these people never get through the month without breaking the “resolution” they have made.
As for making “resolutions” . . . what do you think God has in mind for each of us? Consider that the following words frequent the Church Epistles of the apostle Paul: “Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” (See: 1 Cor.1:3; 2 Cor. 1:2; Gal.1:3; Eph.1:2; Phil.1:2; Col.1:2; 1 Thes.1:1; 2 Thes.1:2; 1 Tim.1:2; 2 Tim.1:2). This was not simply a wish from Paul, it was a heart-felt, earnest, loving prayer.
Also see similar prayers. 1 Peter 1:2-b . . . . . "Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied." (KJV) 2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, (KJV) Jude 1:2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied. (KJV)
It is always appropriate, and particularly so as we enter a new year, to consider what to do to make our life more pleasing to God. There are great Truths involved in living our life: the love of God the Father, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and the tremendous blessings and privileges of TRUE Christian believers. IF we enter the new year with these great truths planted deep in our hearts and in minds, IF we trust AND obey God and allow Him to lead, guide and direct us into doing HIS will . . . NOT ours, God will abundantly bless us. This is the kind of resolutions that we should make. IF we do this, God’s awesome love, grace, peace and mercy shall be multiplied to us! God is SO good! God truly does bless His children!
Bed-Rock Character. Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (KJV) Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: (KJV)
Absolutely Necessary For Membership In God’s Family. Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. (KJV)
The Key To Spiritual Knowledge. John 7:16-18 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. [17] If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. [18] He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. (KJV)
Secures The Blessing Of Divine Fellowship. John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. (KJV) 1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. (KJV)
Has God proved and tried you and found nothing? Do you resolve that your mouth will NOT transgress? Psalm 17:3 Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress. (KJV)
Words of Wisdom
We should place no value on anything we possess except in relation to the Kingdom of Christ. We should gladly promote the glory of Him to whom we owe our ALL. Our hopes should be only in our Lord Jesus Christ and our eternal future.
February 2010 Monthly Message
WHEN I CONSIDER . . .
When I consider, all the wrong I’ve done,
I’m in no way worthy, of God’s own Son.
Yet His amazing love, is there for me,
Forgiving my sins, and setting me free.
The devil had me; I was tied and bound,
Because the love of Christ, I had not found.
I would hear Him knock, and turn a deaf ear,
“Live righteously,” I did not want to hear.
I was stone deaf, and completely blind,
Christ was the last One, I had on my mind.
With my immoral ways, I was at ease,
And with my wickedness, Satan, I did please.
I often think, of those days in the past,
When Christ, from me, I did utterly cast.
I’m in no way worthy, of God’s own Son,
When I consider, all the wrong I’ve done.
But, our Lord abounds in love and mercy,
And He ne’er gave up, on the likes of me.
My evil, sinful past, He did forgive,
Gave me His Spirit, within me to live.
My precious Lord, and His amazing grace,
Always there for me, as I run my race.
He picks me up, when I stumble and fall,
And always answers, when on Him I call.
Does all the wrong you’ve done, cause you shame?
Did you consider, calling on Christ’s Name?
If you believe in faith, He will set you free.
And you’ll live with Him in Heav’n, eternally!

The Wondrous LOVE of Christ
Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (KJV) . . . Paul mentions everything imaginable here. WHO or WHAT can ever separate us from the love of Christ? Tribulation = trials and troubles that burden our soul. Distress = calamity or anguish that seems to cast out all good thoughts from our minds. Persecution = oppression or harsh injustice toward us. Famine = scarcity of food, hunger . . . BUT also I would include famine of God’s Word. People are starving for lack of spiritual food. Nakedness = lack of clothing. Peril = dangers, hazards, snares. Sword = death. NOT one of these things can separate us from the love of Christ! Is it possible that “tribulation” or trouble can separate us? No, my friend, because He won’t let it. “Distress or anguish?” Oh, you may think God has let you down, but He hasn’t. “Persecution”—and this means legal persecution. It means there are those who will carry on a campaign against you. But that will not separate you from the love of Christ. “Or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” By the way, this is a brief biography of Paul’s life. He knows from experience that these will not separate you from Christ’s love.
Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (KJV) . . . These verses give me great comfort. Death CANNOT separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord! Death of a believer places us in His Presence (2 Cor.5:8). Life’s temptations, failures, disappointments, uncertainties, and sufferings will NOT separate us from the love of God that is in Christ our Lord. Angels, means evil fallen angels. Good angels would NEVER try to separate us from the love of God. Principalities and powers are spiritual enemies of believers (Eph. 6:12). Things present means present circumstances. Things to come refers to the future. Nor height, not the heavens above; nor depth, not Hell below. Any other creature, includes anything else you want to mention, including Satan! There is absolutely NOTHING that can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. My friend, salvation is a love story. We love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). Nothing can separate us from that. We enter chapter 8 of Romans with no condemnation; we leave it with no separation! In between we are told that ALL things work together for good to them that love God. Can you improve on this? I cannot! This is wonderful! Jesus’ death for us PROVES His unconquerable love. NOTHING can stop Christ’s constant and continuing Presence with us. God tells us how great His love is so that we will feel totally secure. If we believe Him, we will not be afraid of anything! 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. (KJV)
Words of Wisdom
Love, God’s kind of love = care, concern and compassion for all those around us.
True Love = giving of self to benefit others.

CROSS of CHRIST
To the cross of Christ, we all must go,
To avoid the depths, of Hell below.
God the Father, devised just one Plan,
Accept Christ Jesus, the Son of Man.
Christ left the glory, of Heav’n above,
All because, of His amazing love.
Jesus is God, and always has been,
Yet He’s despis’d and reject’d by men.
While on Earth as Man, Jesus was poor,
No place to lay His Head, yet He did endure.
He knew all things, so He knew He’d die,
His own people shouted: “Crucify!”
The cross of Christ, means so much to me,
Believing, gives life eternally.
Believing on Christ, and Him crucified,
God gives us His Spirit, to abide.
God forbid, that I should e’er glory,
Save in the cross, of Christ’s victory.
I have peace, just thru’ the Blood of His cross,
What the world offers, I must count as loss.
Just the cross of Christ, makes me God’s friend,
Without Jesus, to Hell I’d descend.
We are not condemn’d, if we believe,
Believing not - - - God’s wrath we receive.
Eternal life in Heav’n, God offers to all,
But rejecting Christ’s cross, Hell will befall.
Christ paid it all, paid sin’s penalty,
Belief in His cross, gives us victory.

John 1:1-2, 10-11;15, 30; 6:62; 8:58; Col.1:17,20; Heb.1:11; Hebrews 7:25; 3:8; 1 Peter 1:20;
1 John 1:1; 2:13; Rev.1:11, 14, 17; 2:8; 3:14; 22:13; Mat.8:20; Job 34:21; Psalm 139:4; Heb.4:13; Mt.27:22; Mark 15:13-14; John 19:15; 1 Cor.2:2; Rom.5:5,10; 8:9; 1 Cor.2:12; 3:16; 6:19; Gal.6:14; John 3:18,36; Hosea 4:7; Rom.1:32; 8:5; Phil. 2:9-11; 3:2,20; Col. 3:2; Enemies of the cross of Christ (Gal.6:14; Heb.6:6; 10:29).
Philip. 3:18-21 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: [19] Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) [20] For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: [21] Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. (KJV) . . . “Son of Man” is used in the New Testament 84 times as the unique title of the Saviour.
This is a really severe condemnation of those who PROFESS to be Christians. So many people claim: “I’m a Christian,” yet they deny their profession by the way that they live. Their god is their belly! What an awful thing! This means that they are led by their appetites. Some professing Christians hunger for money. They will do almost anything for the almighty dollar. Others have such an appetite for sex that it becomes actually their god. Yet others hunger for pleasure. Still others covet what others have, with their hearts and minds set only on worldly things (Mat.6:19-21). They live only for self and they actually glory in this. They are proud of what they should be ashamed.
IF you have trusted Christ, IF you have truly been born again into the family of God (John 1:12-13; 3:3-8), IF Christ absorbs your mind, your time, your talent and your possessions, then this will be made evident in your life. James 2:17-18 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. [18] Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. (KJV) IF you haven’t any works, you are NOT going to convince your neighbor, and certainly not God! God shall judge your faith by your works. Remember “Faith alone saves, but faith that saves is not alone.” Trust is NOT enough! You must trust AND obey! Some people think that the words “whose God is their belly” is crude. Well, the statement is not crude, but the condition it speaks of certainly is. How tragic it is to see “Christians” (?) who lust for the things of this world, who “mind earthly things.”
The “Cross of Christ” is where we all must go as we begin our journey to Heaven. To refuse to go there, means that you stay on that big broad road to Hell! (Mat.7:13-14). I pray that you are NOT an enemy of the Cross of Christ, because friend, only when you kneel there in humility, casting away all your pride and lust, do you have a chance of going to Heaven! To refuse to accept God’s Way, you will NOT even SEE Heaven (John 3:3). Please do NOT turn your back on the Cross of Christ! You will be eternally sorry!
April 2010 Monthly Message
I Have Promised
Many today are hungry, I too needed bread,
Forty days I tasted none, ‘til the angels fed.
Many today thirst, on the cross I was thirsty too,
I have promised to supply, all needs for you.
Does your path get weary, as you strive to serve me?
Oft too, I would tire, as I battled My enemies.
And I struggled and fell, ‘neath the cross’ heavy load,
I have promised to give rest, on your tiresome road.
Does the old devil, tempt you in enticing ways?
Does your faith waver, does doubt and fear plague your days?
Forty days and forty nights, he tempted Me too,
I have promised to make a way, of escape for you.
Do tears of pain and sadness, often come your way?
I too wept many tears, of sadness in my days.
I had tears for Jerusalem, and Lazarus too,
I have promised comfort, when weeping comes to you.
Do those that you love and trust, turn and walk away?
Do those you love, love not in return, but betray?
I too felt abandoned, heartsick and lonely too,
I have promised, I’ll never leave or forsake you.
Do you get discouraged, in your service to Me?
Does it seem no one will listen, to your frantic plea?
Most think of worldly things, and are greedy of gain,
I have promised, all done for Me, is never in vain.
Do they persecute you, do you suffer for Me?
Persevere in your faith, and live righteously.
I too was persecuted, I suffered for you,
I have promised, in your trouble, I will rescue.

Job 5:19; Ps.50:15; Jer.1:8,19; 15:20-21.
The poems that God gives to me, never cease to amaze me. I don’t think any of God’s TRUE children really do consider just what Jesus accomplished on that horrendous cross. I don’t think any of us really consider that our precious Lord was human as well as God, and as human, He experienced everything that we experience in our lives.
He too was hungry, as are so many today. He too was thirsty as He walked this Earth. Yet He has promised in His Holy Word, to supply ALL our needs . . . NOT wants . . . our NEEDS! (Phil.4:19). Big difference my friend! Jesus does NOT promise to supply needs of unbelievers, just BELIEVERS! AND, this does NOT mean for people to sit on their behinds and expect the government to hand them food stamps. (2 Thes.3:10). Have you ever considered that our Lord Jesus got tired, just like we do? And what about when He was struggling under the heavy load of that cross . . . after being severely beaten (tortured), that His bones were exposed? (Ps.22:17). Don’t you know that He suffered more than any other person in history? Yet, He has promised to give us rest!
Each day the devil tempts us . . . but the devil tempted Jesus too! 40 days and 40 nights continually! Non-stop! Jesus was tempted in EVERY way that we are tempted, but He never, NOT once gave in to ANY temptation, ever! (Heb.4:15). He knows what we go through, so He has promised to make a way of escape for us! (1 Cor. 10:13).
Did you ever think that our Lord Jesus had tears of pain and sadness as He lived His brief life on Earth? His own people rejected Him (John 1:11). How do you feel when someone rejects you? Jesus felt that same deep sadness and sorrow . . . many times and for many reasons. Jesus has promised us comfort and peace (John 14:18,27; 2 Thes.2:16).
Many in the world today have people that they love, turn and walk away, leaving them feeling abandoned, lonely, heartsick and betrayed. Jesus felt it too. He was human and had feelings just like us. But, remember, Jesus will NEVER leave or forsake you, no matter what! He has promised “I’ll never leave or forsake you.” (Heb.13:5).
If you are someone who loves the Lord and lives for Him, you will at times suffer for His sake, be persecuted for His sake. When this happens to me, I consider it a great privilege. For He will NEVER forget any work done on His behalf! Let us persevere and live righteously, and walk in the light with the Lord on that narrow road.
Matthew 5:10-12 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [11] Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. [12] Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (KJV)
Have you claimed Jesus’ Promises? Have you thanked Him? If not, why not?

CHOICES
In life we’re faced with numerous choices,
As we listen to many voices.
Satan will tempt, continually,
From his deceiving voice, we’re ne’er free.
Immorality is wrong; this we know,
Yet softly Satan whispers: “Go with the flow.”
Will you listen, and his voice obey?
Or will your conscience win out today?
In this life, we have power to choose,
But our God giv’n right we must not abuse.
We must pray to the Lord that He may guide,
And that the wisdom He gives, be applied.
We make various choices each day,
Some are small, some big, along life’s way.
With each decision, our life does change,
Choices, our lifestyle does rearrange.
Choices we make form our destiny,
Decisions must be thought out, carefully.
Wrong choices can cause, us much suffering,
So much grief and misery they can bring.
The most important choice you can make,
Is to accept Jesus, and ne’er forsake.
Choosing Jesus, gives life eternally,
Only He holds, blissful Heaven’s key.

FELLOWSHIP WITH JESUS
Do you drive the Lord Jesus away?
By things that you do, or words you say?
Do your repeated sins distance you,
From our precious Lord, so just and true?
Fellowship with Christ, is a wondrous thing,
It tops the list, of many blessings.
But sin . . . from our Friend, will separate,
Leaving you feeling sad and desolate.
An amazing Friend, who does endure,
One who is loyal, loving and pure.
We must keep our dear Friend, e’er so near,
For He warms our heart, and removes fear.
We can dare be ourselves, with this Friend,
We can bare our soul, and not pretend.
But we must come in humility,
And we must walk with Him, to be worthy.
When great trouble comes, our soul to try,
Christ is a loving Friend, who stands by.
He will never leave us, or forsake,
Even in the times, we make mistakes.
This true Friend, willingly shares our days,
Fellowship should always, start with praise.
He understands when we laugh or weep,
So many blessings, from Him we reap.
Fellowship with Christ, will never harm,
He lovingly alerts us, of alarm.
We must walk with Him, and communicate,
And from worldly lusts, we must separate.

Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. (KJV) (Psalm 26:4-5; Jer.15:17). TRUE believers must NOT walk with ungodly (wicked) people. This verse is the negative side of the practice of the blessed man. We are told here what the happy (blessed) man (or woman) does NOT do.
#1 The blessed man does NOT walk in the counsel of the ungodly. Counsel means “advice.” He does NOT listen to the ungodly. Who are the ungodly? They are people who leave God out. They want NO part of God. They have NO fear of God. They live as though God does not exist.
#2 The blessed man does NOT stand in the way of sinners. Sin means to “miss the mark.” They are the ones the Scripture speaks of when it says, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Pro.. 14:12). Again the Scriptures say, “All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes …” (Pro.. 16:2). The sinner may think he is all right, but he is a sinner. God’s Word says, “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts…” (Isa. 55:7). Also it says, “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all” (Isa. 53:6).
#3 The blessed man does NOT sit in the seat of the scornful. Scorners are atheists. They not only deny God, but they exhibit an antagonism and a hatred of God. This we see every where in today’s world! The scornful . . . are those who are absolutely opposed to God. They don’t want the Bible read in the public schools; they don’t want it read anywhere! They deny the Word of God. There is no one lower than he/she that denies God. The drunkard in the gutter is not nearly as low as someone who denies God.
To have fellowship with Jesus, we must follow the negative practice of the above verse. To be a TRUE child of God, we must make a commitment to Christ and KEEP it! SO many people PROFESS to be “Christians” and supposedly “surrender” or “dedicate” their life to Him. But when things get rough, they forget all about their “commitment,” their “dedication.” The loyalty of a hypocrite is short lived. These people are NOT Christians! Professing to be a “Christian” and POSSESSING Christ in your heart are two whole different things! Millions who PROFESS to be “Christians” are hypocrites, and Jesus utterly condemned these. See: Matthew chapter 23.
The devil’s children (1 John 3:10) could care less about Jesus; could care less about having a close relationship with Him! BUT . . . a TRUE believer, a TRUE child of God isn’t happy unless he/she feels the constant Presence of the Lord. They hunger and thirst for the Lord and His ways (Mat. 5:6). They have a deep desire to be close to Jesus!
Blessed = supremely blest; Blessed is a positive judgment by God on the individual that means to be approved or to find approval. When God blesses us, He approves of us. Only when God approves of us can we ever be happy! And if we do not have a close fellowship with Jesus, God will not, God can not approve of us.

DISCIPLES
Our Lord Jesus said: “Come, follow me,”
Unless we do, we’ll not have victory.
God’s children must be, disciples too,
We must follow, Him that is true.
Our selfish desires, we must deny,
If on Christ’s pow’r, we want to rely.
Our cross in life, we simply must bear,
If Jesus’ glory, we want to share.
Christ in our life, must be Number One,
Or we’re not worthy, of God’s own Son.
Above all persons, or any thing,
Christ must be first, to receive God’s blessing.
Care and concern, and compassion too,
We must love as Christ, in all we do.
‘Bout His lost sheep, we really must care,
We must try to get them, from Satan’s lair.
Christ’s disciples, must be brave and bold,
Tell of Christ; get them into His fold.
In this, we do not have an option,
We must tell the Good News, of salvation.
Are you Jesus’ disciple today?
Do you love, for His lost sheep display?
“Go ye therefore,” He commands of you,
Do you love and obey, our Lord so true?
Christ died on the cross, to set us free,
Just He can give, life eternally.
When we follow Jesus, we must work,
Our duties we simply, cannot shirk.
Not all who say: “Lord, Lord,” go to Heav’n,
Just those who obey, the commands He’s giv’n.
Those mournful words “I never knew you,”
Will not be heard, if to Christ you are true.
All Christ’s disciples, must share the task,
If in Heav’n’s comfort, they want to bask.
We must for Jesus, take a firm stand,
This of us, the Father does demand.

- Our Master. John 13:14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. (KJV) If we are not willing to follow Christ’s example of serving, we simply are NOT worthy of Him! Wonderful blessings await those who agree that humble service is Christ’s way, and then act on it.
- Our Book. 2 Tim. 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (KJV) The Bible is the perfect Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit. In it, God reveals Himself and His plan to us. It is our safeguard against false teaching and our source of guidance for how we should live. It is our only source of knowledge about how we can be saved from God’s wrath and the pits of Hell. God wants to show you what is true and equip you to live for Him.
- Our clothing. 1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. (KJV) Everyone can benefit from Peter’s advice. Humility is a must in our daily lives.
- Our badge. John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. (KJV) Our love for Jesus and one another will prove to the world that we are His disciples. Love is much more than just warm feelings and kind words. True love reveals itself in action, not just words.
- Our cross. Luke 14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. (KJV) Following Christ means total submission to Him . . . perhaps even to the point of death. If we want to follow Jesus, we must put aside any selfish ambition, shoulder your cross, and follow Him. When we give up our life for His sake and for the sake of the Gospel, we find true life. We must carry our own cross and follow Him, meaning you must deny self, and think of Jesus instead.
- Our companions. Psalm 119:63 I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. (KJV) Our companions and friends must be those who fear the Lord, and obey His commandments. We must delight in the company of true believers, for this is evidence of belonging to them (Psalm 16:3; Malachi 3:16). Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed? (KJV) Two people CANNOT walk together without agreeing on which way they are going to go. Unless God’s Spirit joins with them, coming ruin is almost certain. Believers must have as their companions, other believers.
- Our fruit. John 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. (KJV) Jesus’ TRUE disciples produce much fruit, which brings great glory to the Father in Heaven. Only when we abide in Him, can we bear fruit. Without Him, we can do nothing! (John 15:1-5). What is “fruit”? Love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and self control (Gal. 5:22-23). The fruit of the Spirit is the spontaneous work of the Holy Spirit in us. The Spirit produces these character traits that are found in the nature of Christ. They are the by-products of Christ’s control of us. We CANNOT obtain them without His help. If we want the fruit of the Spirit to grow in us, we must join our lives to His. We must know Him, love Him, remember Him, and imitate Him in all we do. By doing this, we fulfill the intended purpose of the law . . . to love God and our neighbors (Mat. 22:37-40).
ALL disciples are believers . . . but, NOT all believers are disciples

HEAVEN
Heaven is as a bud, yet to unfold,
Revealing that wondrous, street of gold.
With a tree of life, on either side,
Where with our awesome God, we will abide!
Heaven will be, as a glorious rose,
Too beautiful, for us to ev’n suppose.
A river of water, from the Throne will flow,
And God’s tender care for us, He will show.
Heaven is built of pure gold, clear as glass,
And no wickedness, will ever trespass.
There’ll be no more death, no sorrow, no pain,
There’ll be no more tears from us, e’er again!
The City’s wall, is a dazzling array,
Sparkling jasper makes a brilliant display.
Its foundation, is of twelve precious stones,
Such radiant colors; it’s polychrome.
The wall has twelve gates; one pearl is each gate,
So amazing! it truly does frustrate.
There is no danger; the gates never close,
Nothing that defiles, will ever impose.
There’ll be no night in this exalted place,
It will be lighted, by God’s glorious grace.
God and the Lamb, are all the Light we’ll need,
Unlimited brilliance, from them proceed!
Can you imagine, this beautiful Place?
Where one day we will see, our Saviour’s Face.
God’s children will live there, for eternity,
There’s a mansion reserv’d, for you and me.

Christ calls Heaven His Father's House. John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (KJV)
It is called Paradise. Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. (KJV) Rev. 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. (KJV)
The heavenly Jerusalem. Rev. 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. (KJV)
The Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. (KJV)
The eternal kingdom. 2 Peter 1:11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (KJV)
The eternal inheritance. 1 Peter 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, (KJV) Also: Hebrews 9:15.
The better country. Heb. 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. (KJV)
A garner. Matthew 3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. (KJV)
The kingdom of Christ and of God. Ephes. 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. (KJV)
Called Abraham's bosom. Luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; (KJV)
Called a rest. Hebrews 4:10-11 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. [11] Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. (KJV)
Heaven is an eternal weight of glory. 2 Cor. 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; (KJV)
Heaven is an exemption from ALL sufferings for ever. 2 Cor. 5:1-2 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. [2] For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: (KJV)
Heaven is bliss without end, the “fullness of joy” for ever. Luke 20:36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. (KJV) 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (KJV)
Heaven is eternal glory. 1 Peter 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (KJV)

LIFE’S STRUGGLES
As we live for Christ, many forces we face,
To survive but a moment, we need God’s grace!
Life is a struggle, and desperate indeed,
To the counseling of God, we must heed!
Filth is rampant, in movies and T.V.,
Social upheaval o’erflows, you must agree!
The “real world,” is a superficial facade,
God clearly states, it is destin’d to fade.
Satan tries all Truth, to twist and distort,
On God’s wisdom and pow’r, we must resort!
Our eyes and minds, Satan strives to deceive,
We must be on guard, that we don’t believe!
Life is a struggle; a constant warfare,
But Jesus our burden, will gladly share!
When worries and troubles, greatly annoy,
Wisdom and pow’r from Christ, we must employ!
The armor of God is a precious aid,
When we wear it, we need not be afraid!
When the “day of evil” comes, we’ll stand our ground,
Because wisdom and pow’r, in Christ is found!
Truth, righteousness, and the Gospel of peace,
When we put on Christ, these blessings increase!
Salvation is your helmet, God’s Word your sword,
Hold steady your shield, which is faith in the Lord!
Without ceasing, God’s children should always pray,
To change our darkness, to bright shining day!
Resist the devil; Christ will make him flee,
Life’s struggles will give way to victory!

Ephesians 6:10-18; 1 Thes.5:16-23; Jam.4:7
Christ Jesus is our Armor
- Truth. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)
- Righteousness. Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. (KJV) 1 Cor. 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: (KJV)
- Peace. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (KJV) John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (KJV) Philip. 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (KJV)
- Faith. Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (KJV) Philip. 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: (KJV)
- Salvation. John 3:15-18 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. [18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (KJV) 1 John 5:11-12 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (KJV)
- Sword of the Spirit. John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. (KJV) John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. (KJV) Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (KJV)
- Prayer. John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. (KJV)
We must “put on Christ” each day we live. Only He can help us with all the struggles we shall face each and every day we live on this Earth. We CANNOT do it alone! We must be attached to the Vine (John 15:1-5). We are mere branches that will die without strength and nourishment from the Vine! Christ can and will help with our struggles! ASK Him!

Comforting Scriptures concerning the Lord’s Awesome Presence
Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (KJV) . . . How utterly profound this verse is!
Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (KJV) . . . Do you see what this says? We walk through the valley. We do NOT stay there! But . . . no matter! He will NOT ever leave believers! Not even when we die!
Psalm 27:4 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. (KJV) . . . This is the deep desire of all TRUE believers! It is what we seek after! To go to Heaven one day and behold His beauty . . . eternally!
Psalm 73:24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. (KJV) . . . How I love this verse! And I claim this Promise for myself! I hope that you do too. The Lord guides and directs us as we live in this world . . . and when we die . . . He receives us to glory (Heaven)!
Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. (KJV) . . . Wonderful Promise!
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (KJV)
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (KJV) . . . Conversation is our lifestyle. We should not be greedy (covetous). We should be content with what the Lord has provided for us . . . not coveting what our neighbor has. We should always remember that He will NEVER leave us, NEVER forsake (abandon) us! He is Always with TRUE believers, always! What absolute comfort this has been to me over the years.
1 John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. (KJV) . . . If we acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God, God (the Holy Spirit) dwells within us. I believe that to “confess” that Jesus is the Son of God . . . means that we acknowledge and accept what the Bible states about Him and His Work on the cross.
1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (KJV) . . . When we overcome, we receive the Holy Spirit!
1 John 5:4-5 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. [5] Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? (KJV) . . . To overcome means to be born again. (John 1:2-13; 3:3-8).

Ephes. 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: (KJV) . . . Only Jesus can get us to Heaven.
1 Peter 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, [4] To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, (KJV) . . . Only Jesus can reserve a place in Heaven for us. PRAISE HIM!

My sins are forgiv’n, eternally.
Such awesome peace, within me abides,
For God’s Holy Spirit, does reside.
Forever mine, He’s always there,
Proof of God’s love, proof that He cares.

Guiding me safely, thru’ dark lonely nights.

Makes my worry gone, I’ve nothing to fear.

Sufficient always, in time or place.
Forever mine, are blessings untold,
Blessings that to me, are worth more than gold.

I simply cannot go along with the vast majority of people in their celebrations at this time of year. It is my humble opinion that our precious Saviour and Lord should be honored EVERY day of the year . . . NOT just one day in December.
We are NOT told by Jesus . . . ANYWHERE in the Bible . . . to celebrate His “birthday.” The Bible DOES tell us to “remember” the Lord’s death (Mat.26:26-30; 1 Cor. 11:23-29), but it also posts a severe warning. 1 Cor. 11:28-29 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. [29] For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. (KJV)
How many people are there in the world today, who do not celebrate “Christmas”? That number is SO small. Have you ever wondered WHY unbelievers celebrate “Christmas”?
What the world loves . . . God hates! And, what God loves . . . the world hates!
John 15:18-19 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. [19] If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. (KJV) Jesus has ALWAYS been hated by the “world.” SO . . . WHY does the world celebrate “Christmas”? Anyone who is truly interested, can very easily find the Truth about “Christmas.”
John 17:14-16 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. [15] I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. [16] They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. (KJV) Jesus is NOT of this world! Neither are God’s TRUE children! Here, Jesus prayed that the Father would keep TRUE believers from the evil, from being corrupted by the world and from the power and deceit of Satan. The Spirit of God in TRUE Christians is opposed to the spirit of the world. Satan is extremely strong. BEWARE!!!
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (KJV)
Words of Wisdom
You can’t learn from a mistake unless you admit you made it.
Obedience to God, is the only path to His blessings.
Are you looking for blessings in the wrong places? The source of what you consider blessings, could be your problem.
