A HIGHER
PLATEAU
A higher plateau, is where I’ve gone,
And I’m no longer, the devil’s pawn.
At the foot of Christ’s cross, I did kneel,
Now worldly pleasures, don’t ev’n seem real!
I’m far above, where I used to be,
On a high plateau, of serenity.
Amazing peace, I feel deep within,
Satan no longer, has pow’r o’er sin.
I’ve forsaken, vanity and pride,
For the Holy Spirit, does abide.
His Presence and pow’r, surely does aid,
The higher plateau, makes me unafraid.
From this higher plateau, I can see more,
Tho’ I can’t make out, Heav’n’s blissful
shore.
But I will stay, in close fellowship,
With Christ Jesus, who leads on this trip.
On this plateau, I’ll walk the narrow road,
As Christ leads me, to my heav’nly abode.
No matter how steep, or how dark the night,
I see perfectly, with Christ’s great Light.
Trials and troubles, may come my way,
But Christ’s awesome Presence, is there alway.
This higher plateau, on which I stand,
And I firmly hold, onto Jesus’ Hand!
I thank Him for all that He does for me,
And for my mansion, in eternity.
He has gone on, to prepare a place,
And one day soon, I’ll see His wondrous Face.
I thank Him for, that higher plateau,
I like it better, than the valley below.
Give me wisdom and strength Lord, to do your will,
And faith, love and mercy, in me instill.

Matthew 6:19-21 Lay
not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust
doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: [20] But
lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor
rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
[21] For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (KJV)
John 14:27 Peace
I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth,
give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it
be afraid. (KJV)
Romans 8:9 But ye are
not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of
God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ,
he is none of his. (KJV)
1 John 4:4 Ye are of
God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is
he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (KJV)
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter
ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the
way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in
thereat: [14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way,
which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (KJV)
John 14:2-3 In
my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would
have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go
and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you
unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (KJV)
I don’t know
about you, but over the years I have made so many New Year’s
resolutions, and broken 99% of them! The older I get, and the closer
I get to my beloved Lord Jesus, it seems to me that I simply should
consider my relationship with Him more seriously. I think that the
“Golden Rule” maybe should be my year long resolution!
Matthew 7:12 Therefore
all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye
even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. (KJV)
Also see: Lev.19:18; Luke 6:31; Rom.13:9; Gal.5:14.
The Golden Rule as
Jesus expressed it is the foundation of doing good and showing mercy.
Let us show the kind of love God shows to us every day.
Words of
Wisdom
Do NOT do wrong
to others . . . before they can do wrong to you. Repay evil with
good.

DO YOU REALLY
LOVE HIM?
“I
love You, Lord Jesus,” we often say,
But, do we His will, truly obey?
To obey our Lord, shows our love for Him,
And our faith increases; will not grow dim.
Do you say “I
love You Lord,” and go your own way?
Willfully disobeying, day after day?
Do you feel God’s Spirit, convicting you?
Yet turn aside from all you know to be true?
To love Him is to fear Him, constantly,
We must acknowledge His sovereignty.
Reverencing Him, we must trust and obey,
True love for God, comes no other way.
If we truly love Him, we abide in His love,
And we’ll bask in His sunshine, from above.
We feel the warmth of Christ’s love when we obey,
Reaching out to serve Him, day after day.
If we truly love and honor Christ in our heart,
His delightful Presence, will ne’er depart.
Jesus will be honored, by the life you live,
When You reach out to others, love to them you give.

Words of
Wisdom
The birthmarks of God’s children
are love, obedience, and truth.
You can give without loving; but you CANNOT love without giving.
The true test of love is loyalty.
Love for God is shown by our love for others.
John 21:15-17 So when they had dined,
Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of
Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him,
Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed
my lambs. [16] He saith to him again the second time, Simon,
son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord;
thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed
my sheep. [17] He saith unto him the third time, Simon,
son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he
said unto him the third time, Lovest thou
me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things;
thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed
my sheep. (KJV)
Peter had denied the
Lord Jesus three times. Here Jesus
asks Peter . . . three times, if Peter loved Him. Three times Jesus
asked Peter if he loved Him. When Peter said yes, You know I do;
Jesus told him to feed His sheep. Saying you love Jesus is one thing;
but the real test is being willing to serve Him. Peter had truly
repented of his denials of the Lord, now . . . Jesus was asking
him to commit his life. Peter’s life changed drastically when
he finally realized who Jesus was. He no longer was a fisherman,
he was an evangelist. He changed from being impulsive to a rock.
And most of all, his relationship to Jesus changed . . . he was
forgiven. Peter finally understood the significance of Jesus’
death and resurrection.
It benefits us tremendously
when our failures and mistakes make us humble and watchful. Our
love to God must be sincere if we are to stand up to the tests life
brings our way. We must do more than just say “I love You
Lord.” We must love God not only in word, but in deed! Professing
to be a Christian simply will not cut it! You must possess Christ
in your heart and never be ashamed of Him! Remember . . . all disciples
are believers, but not all believers are disciples. Just like that
beautiful hymn states: “Trust and obey, for there’s
no other way.” Trust and obedience are bound together in the
same package. You CANNOT have one without the other!
No one is qualified
to feed the sheep of Christ, if they do not love the Good Shepherd
more than any earthly benefit or possession. It should be the greatest
concern of every believer, no matter what he/she does or says, to
glorify God in it. It should be our chief end that Christ be first
in ALL things, and that we love Him with all our heart and soul!
Questions
to consider:
1. Do you say “I
love You Lord” yet refuse to obey Him?
2. Do you truly acknowledge His sovereignty?
3. Do you truly “fear” (reverence) Him as you should?
4. Do you welcome His awesome Presence within? Or do you quench
His Spirit?
5. Do you reach out to others with heartfelt love, like Jesus?
6. Do you consider it a privilege to serve Him?
7. Do you think you are not prepared to “feed His sheep?”
Remember, God will equip you to do any job He has called you to
do!

Our precious Saviour and Lord, Jesus the Christ, the Messiah, came
to this Earth to die that all who believe in Him and accept Him,
may live eternally. Yes, He did die! But my friend, He was raised
again three days later. He lives! He truly lives! And because He
lives, He helps us live our temporary life here on this Earth with
confidence because He is always there to assist us in our times
of pain, suffering and any troubles. He will NEVER leave us, NEVER
forsake (abandon) those of us who place our faith and trust in Him!
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without
covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he
hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (KJV) What a tremendous Promise! He will NEVER leave us, NEVER
forsake us!
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of
the Lord, and he shall lift you up. (KJV) 1 Tim. 6:6-10 But godliness with contentment is great gain. [7] For we brought
nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing
out. [8] And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
[9] But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare,
and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction
and perdition. [10] For the love of money is the root of all evil:
which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith,
and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (KJV) A believer
who humbles himself before God, and is right with God (1 Cor.1:30),
is perfectly content in any situation in which God has placed him.
Godliness has nothing to do with worldly wealth! We didn’t
bring anything when we came into this world, and we absolutely will
NOT carry anything with us when we die. Beware! The love of money
is the root of all evil.
1 Cor. 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then
is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. (KJV) He
lives! And He is there for those who believe and trust
in Him. We have peace and joy that no one can take away from us!
God’s TRUE children (John 1:12-13; 3:3; 14:6) are so privileged
to have a Saviour who loves them so dearly! If you do not know Jesus
as your personal Saviour and Friend, go to Him NOW!

FOR ME!
Under a dark, looming Eastern sky,
A humble Man, stumbled forth to die.
In the midst of a crowd, shouting with glee,
This Man went forth, to die for me!
A crown of thorns pierced His precious Head,
His Blood reveal’d, ev’ry step He tread.
He bore that cross in pure agony,
As this Man went forth, to die for me!
They drove nails, into His Hands and Feet,
After many hours, that they scourged and beat.
Naked He hung in complete humility,
This Man consented to die for me!
On that awful cross, my sins He did bear,
A burden He asked, no one to share!
All this He did, out of love so free,
This awesome Man . . . He died for me!
Because of this Man; great blessings are mine,
Peace, joy, comfort, grace, and strength divine!
But, best of all, life eternally,
For Christ Jesus gave, His Life for me!
For me! For me! this awesome Man died!
For me! For me! He was crucified!
For me! His death was pure victory!
For it gives me Heaven eternally!

This poem is so special to me. I have not repeated poems in the
Messages, but I will bring this one again. I used this poem in the
April 2000 message, but my heart said to use it here in 2007.
WHY DID JESUS HAVE
TO DIE?
The death of Christ Jesus was foretold in the Old
Testament years before He died (Isa. 53:8; Dan.9:26; Zech. 13:7).
So, just WHY did He have to die? When I first became a Christian,
this was one of my biggest questions.
Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be to you
for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood,
I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy
you, when I smite the land of Egypt. (KJV) God said, “When
I see the blood, I will pass over you.”
NO one was saved because he was doing the best he could, or because
he was honest, or because he was a good person. They were not to
run out of the house during the night and look at the blood; but
were to have confidence and faith in it. The death angel did his
job that night in Egypt. If there was no blood on the door posts,
the first born was killed, just as God promised Pharaoh. God said,
“When
I see the blood, I will pass over you.”
When the death angel saw the blood, he passed that house and all
its occupants, just as God had promised. Nothing needed to be added.
Who was saved that night? Those who believed God. Those who had
struck the blood on their droor posts and trusted in it. I believe
what God says. He states that the shed Blood of Christ will save
me . . . nothing or NO one else will. God said that when he saw
the blood on the door posts, he would pass over that home. The blood
was not some imaginary or superstitious sign. In today’s world,
it is still the shed Blood of Christ that saves us, that and that
alone. If you have believed God and accepted Christ as your Saviour
and Lord, you are safe and secure like those in the homes of the
Israelites that night. BUT, IF you willingly and willfully choose
to reject Christ and His work on the cross, you will be like the
houses of the Egyptians that night so long ago. God will NOT pass
over you when the death angel comes.
When God the Father looks down from His Home in Heaven,
and sees one of His TRUE children (John 1:12-13; 3:3), He does NOT
see us and our horrid sins; He sees the precious Blood of His beloved
Son. He will NEVER turn His Back on that Blood! God CANNOT shut
His eyes to sin and do nothing about it. God’s law is unyielding
and inflexible . . . “The
soul that sinneth, it shall die” (Eze.18:4).
The death sentence is on all of us, because we all have sinned (Rom.3:23;
5:12). But God is gracious, and an innocent life may be substituted
for the guilty. Until Christ came, it was a lamb. Then it was Jesus
. . . “…the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin
of the world” (John 1:29). If we receive Christ, we are
saved from the judgment that we deserve as sinners.
The Blood of Christ is the ONLY thing that can wash our away sin. There is NOTHING offensive about the Blood; the offense is in our sin.
Where will you spend
eternity? Heaven? or Hell?
Do you accept Jesus and His work on the cross?
If not, accept Him today. Tomorrow may be too late.
Accept Jesus = Heaven!
Reject Jesus = Hell!

The Path
of Light
On the path of light, with You I’ll walk,
So You can assist, when Satan stalks.
I’ve not a chance, against Satan’s darts,
If You and I Lord, are far apart.
On the path of light, with You I’ll stay,
For I need Your Presence, ev’ry day.
Without You Lord, I would surely fall,
But with You Lord, I can do it all.
I’ll stay with You, on that lighted path,
‘Tis how I avoid, the Father’s wrath.
Darkness and evil, from me will flee,
For You dear Jesus, take care of me.
Staying with You, on the path of light,
Removes my worries, doubts and my fright.
Such a comfort, to have You so near,
Your perfect love, casts out all my fear.
On the path with You, lighted so well,
Eliminates all terror of Hell.
I will with Your help, on that path walk,
And fellowship with You, as we talk.
Keep me please, Lord, on that narrow path,
For I want none of, the Father’s wrath.
In Heaven with You, I want to dwell,
And just You Lord, the Father’s wrath can quell.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them,
saying, I am the light of the world:
he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have
the light of life. (KJV) The darkness of evil will never overcome or extinguish
God’s light. Jesus Christ is the Creator of life, and His
life brings light to mankind. In His light, we see ourselves as
we really are; and that’s not good! We are sinners in desperate
need of a Saviour. When we walk with Jesus on the path of Light,
we can avoid pitfalls of sin, and see how He wants us to live. He
removes the darkness of sin and evil from our lives. When we let
Christ guide our life, we will never stumble in darkness like a
blind man.
John 12:46 I
am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should
not abide in darkness. (KJV) We see in Jesus
the glory of the Father, and we learn to obey, love, and trust in
Him. When we look to Him daily, we feel His awesome Presence and
we are freed from the darkness of ignorance, error, sin, and misery.
We learn that to obey the command of God our Saviour brings everlasting
life. But disobedience to God brings condemnation of all who despise
or reject Christ.
Ephes. 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness,
but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (KJV)
Walking with Jesus on the path of light, our actions should reflect
our faith. We should live above criticism and blame morally so that
we will reflect God’s goodness to others. Jesus stressed this
Truth in the Sermon on the Mount (Mat.5:15-16).
Ephes. 6:10-11 Finally, my brethren, be strong
in the Lord, and in the power of his might. [11] Put on the whole
armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of
the devil. (KJV) When we walk with the Lord on the path of
light, we are putting on all the spiritual armor.
Philip. 4:13 I can do all things through
Christ which strengtheneth me. (KJV) The power we receive when
walking with Christ is sufficient to do His will and to face any
hazards that arise from our duty to serve. We will not receive superhuman
ability to do anything we want, but power to serve Him. As we battle
for the faith we will face troubles, pressures, and trials. As they
come, ask Christ to strengthen you. He will!
Gal.5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit,
and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. (KJV) Walking
on the path of light with Jesus, puts the words of Christ in our
mind, the love of Christ in our heart and actions, and the power
of Christ help us control our selfish desires and pride.
Gal.5:25 If we live in the Spirit,
let us also walk in the Spirit. (KJV) God is interested in
our whole life, not just the spiritual part. If we live by the Holy
Spirit’s power, we will submit every part of our life to God:
emotional, intellectual, physical, social and vocational. We are
saved to serve the Lord, so we act the part!
1 John 1:5-6 This then is the message which
we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and
in him is no darkness at all. [6] If we say that we have fellowship
with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: (KJV) Light represents God and what is good, pure, true and holy.
Darkness represents Satan and what is sinful and evil. The statement
“God is light” means that God is perfectly holy and
true and that He alone can guide us out of the darkness of sin.
Light is also related to truth in that light exposes whatever exists,
whether it is good or bad. Darkness cannot exist in the presence
of light, neither can sin exist in the Presence of a Holy God. If
we want a relationship with God, we must put aside ALL our sinful
ways of living. To claim that we belong to Him, then go out and
live for self, is hypocrisy. Christ will expose and judge ALL such
deceit.
WORDS OF
WISDOM
Without the ‘light of God’s
Spirit’ we’ll be in total darkness with God’s
Word.
God placed Christians on Earth to shine as lights, not get used
to the dark.
Life’ darkest path can never dim the light of God’s
love.

It begins, when God’s Word is believed!
No earthly knowledge, can e’er compare,
With knowing Christ Jesus, e’er so fair!

And He will strengthen, at any hour!
No earthly pow’r, can make our faith strong,
With knowing Jesus, we can’t go wrong!
Knowing Christ, will unto all Truth lead,
And He has promised, to fill all our needs.
No earthly truth, could e’er compare,
With knowing Jesus, for He does care!

The highest goal of learning is to
know Jesus.
To get to Heaven, it’s who you know that counts.
Knowing the LIVING WORD, is the key to understanding the written
Word.
Do you KNOW Jesus?
Philip. 3:7-11 But what things were gain
to me, those I counted loss for Christ. [8] Yea doubtless, and I
count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of
Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things,
and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, [9] And be found
in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law,
but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness
which is of God by faith: [10] That I may know him, and the power
of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being
made conformable unto his death; [11] If by any means I might attain
unto the resurrection of the dead. (KJV)
TRUE Christians rejoice in Christ Jesus. We must earnestly guard
against those who oppose or abuse the doctrine of free salvation.
IF the apostle Paul would have gloried and trusted in the flesh,
he had as much cause as any man. But, what he had counted as gain
while a Pharisee, he counted as loss for Christ. Christ Jesus is
worth more than ANY worldly treasure, possessions, power, fame or
knowledge. When Jesus came into Paul’s life, he realized this
fact! He deemed ALL things to be but loss, compared with the knowledge
of Christ. It is the same with any TRUE believer. By faith in the
Person of Christ, and the salvation He promises, NOTHING can compare!
Anything that the world can offer is not only counted as loss, but
the vilest garbage; not only less valuable than Christ, but actually
contemptible, when set up as against Jesus. True knowledge of Christ
reforms and changes people, their thoughts and manners, and makes
them into different people. Believers prefer Christ, knowing that
it is better for us to be without worldly riches, than to be without
Christ and His Word. There is a righteousness provided for us in
Jesus Christ (1 Cor.1:30), and it is a complete and perfect righteousness.
We are doomed if we attempt to trust in ourselves. Knowing Christ
Jesus personally is one of the greatest benefits of being a child
of God.
Psalm 25:8-9 Good and upright is the Lord:
therefore will he teach sinners in the way. [9] The meek will he
guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. (KJV)
Because the Lord is righteous and good, He teaches us the right
path we should follow. When we humble ourselves in His sight, He
teaches us His will.
Psalm 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach
thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine
eye. (KJV) Knowing Christ, gives us blessings untold. He longs
to guide us with love and wisdom, but is we go wrong He will chastise
us.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all
thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all
thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (KJV)
Knowing Christ is such a privilege! Who better to guide us? But
. . . we must trust Him in all things.
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the
knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory
both now and for ever. Amen. (KJV)

it is better for us to be without worldly riches, than to be without
Christ and His Word.
Amen. (KJV)

A BARRIER
Is there a barrier, in the way?
That keeps you from Christ, this very day?
There are many excuses, you can make,
But to reject Christ, is your worst mistake.
Are you afraid, of what folks will say?
When love for Christ Jesus, you display?
Are you too busy, in the life you live?
To accept Him, and the gift He gives?
Do worldly things come, ‘tween you and He?
These barriers are your enemies.
Riches, glory, and fame and power,
Are they ‘tween Christ and you, this hour?
You’ve done much evil and wickedness,
You say the Father could never bless.
The Blood of Christ, will wash white as snow,
Just open His Book, He wants you to know.
What’s the barrier, ‘tween He and you?
If you remove it, He will rescue.
Lust of the flesh, passion, or pleasure,
Are these what you, consider treasure?
What e’er the barrier in your road,
Remove it if you want, Heav’n’s abode.
Rejection of Christ, leads to Hell’s gate,
Accepting Him grants you, Heav’n so great.

Genesis 19:26 But his wife looked back from
behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. (KJV) Lot’s
wife’s barrier . . . she didn’t want to leave her luxurious
lifestyle.
Jeremiah 44:16 As for the word that thou
hast spoken unto us in the name of the Lord, we will not hearken
unto thee. (KJV) Departure from God’s Word and His leading
is a barrier and a calamity. Examine your life, take a close look
at what God wants for you.
Hosea 9:17 My God will cast them away, because
they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among
the nations. (KJV) Don’t let your barrier make God cast
you away.
Zech. 7:11 But they refused to hearken, and
pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should
not hear. (KJV) Any sin seems more natural the second time,
the third time, etc. As we become hardened, each repetition is easier.
Ignoring or refusing God’s warning is a barrier that hardens
you each time you do wrong. Study God’s Word, then apply it
to your life. Sensitivity and submission to God’s Word can
soften your heart and allow you to live as you should.
Matthew 19:22 But when the young man heard
that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. (KJV) We cannot love God with all our hearts and still keep the
power of money and possessions utmost in our minds. Don’t
let wealth be a barrier between God and you.
Matthew 22:3 And sent forth his servants
to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not
come. (KJV) The wedding clothes picture (symbolize) the righteousness
needed to enter God’s kingdom. It is the total acceptance
in God’s eyes that Christ gives every believer. Christ has
provided this garment of righteousness for everyone, but each person
must choose to put it on in order to enter the King’s banquet
(eternal life). There is an open invitation, but we must be ready.
Matthew 23:13 But
woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up
the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves,
neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. (KJV) A right knowledge of God's Word is eternal life(John 17:3;
John 5:39); but the Pharisees (and many leaders today) take this
away from the people, substituting for it their false, vile, wretched,
man made doctrines (Mat.15:9).
Matthew 26:56 But all this was done, that
the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the
disciples forsook him, and fled. (KJV) It was a great sin (barrier)
for those who had left all to follow Jesus; now to leave Him for
who knows what. What insanity, for fear of death they fled from
Him, whom they knew and acknowledged to be the Fountain of life!
John 5:40 And
ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. (KJV) The religious leaders (then and now) knew what the Bible said,
but failed to apply its words to their lives. They also knew what
the Scriptures foretold, but could not see the Messiah right in
front of them. People then and now, are so entrenched in their own
religious systems, they refuse to let the Son of God change their
lives. Don’t become so involved in “religion”
that you miss Christ. Religions can be a huge barrier. Christianity
is NOT a religion, it is a Person, the Person of Jesus the Christ
(the Messiah).
2 Tim. 4:4 And they shall turn away their
ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (KJV)
Millions today turn their ears away from the Truth! So many churches
are teaching only what people want to hear. What people want to
hear and what people NEED to hear are completely different!
1 John 2:19 They went out from us, but they
were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt
have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made
manifest that they were not all of us. (KJV) Many people today
PROFESS to be Christians but they are hypocrites. A TRUE child of
God must POSSESS Christ in their heart or they are NOT Christians.
There are many barriers between God and mankind. They must be removed
to have eternal life in Heaven.
WORDS OF
WISDOM
Don’t let worldly treasures and pleasures
be a barrier to Heaven.

JUDGMENT
IS SURE TO COME
Since there are two
distinct groups of people in the world today (1 John 3:10), there
shall be two judgments . . . one for God’s TRUE children (born
again believers), and one for the devil’s children. If you
have believed God and accepted His Son as your Saviour and Lord,
you shall stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ. Your destination
has already been decided . . . Heaven! You shall be judged for all
you did for the cause of Christ after you were saved.
If you belong to the other group, the devil’s children, who
rejected Christ; your destination also has been previously decided
. . . Hell! You shall stand before the Great White Throne for Judgment.
JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST
1 Cor. 3:11-17 For
other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus
Christ. [12] Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver,
precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; [13] Every man's work shall
be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall
be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of
what sort it is. [14] If any man's work abide which he hath built
thereupon, he shall receive a reward. [15] If any man's work shall
be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved;
yet so as by fire. [16] Know ye not that ye are the temple of God,
and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? [17] If any man defile
the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God
is holy, which temple ye are. (KJV)
GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT
Rev. 20:11-15 And
I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face
the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place
for them. [12] And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before
God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which
is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things
which were written in the books, according to their works. [13]
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell
delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every
man according to their works. [14] And death and hell were cast
into the lake of fire. This is the second death. [15] And whosoever
was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake
of fire. (KJV)
Consider: Which of these two places
will you be when you meet the Great Judge? Where will you spend
eternity?

A PROBLEM
There was one who
had, great earthly wealth,
This one also had, good physical health.
But he had a problem, he could not see,
He wouldn’t admit, Jesus held Heav’n’s ‘key’.
There was one so beautiful,
and so vain,
She looked at others, with great disdain.
She rejected Jesus, with contemn,
No Jesus; the world’s biggest problem!
There was a ruler,
who had vast pow’r,
All his subjects, would shudder and cow’r.
From his evil lips, came blasphemy,
His problem: No Christ, for eternity!
There was one who
had, fortune and fame,
People ‘round the world, all knew her name.
She had a problem; she refus’d Jesus,
And this makes the Father, furious!
There are those who
toil, for a college degree,
To be a scholar is great, most agree.
But without Christ, you have a problem great,
Eternal destruction, of Hell does await!
We can access Heav’n,
without wealth or beauty,
But we must have Jesus: He’s the Key!
Heav’n can be ours without learning or fame,
But we must call on, Jesus’ Holy Name!
Without Jesus, a problem does exist,
Hell will be yours; for Heav’n you’ll have miss’d!
He is the Truth, the Life and the Way,
Just Jesus can get you, into Heav’n someday!

John 14:6 Jesus
saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh
unto the Father, but by me.
[KJV]
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any
other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved. [KJV] JUST
JESUS can get you to Heaven!
People have many mistaken thoughts
about what they need to access Heaven. Below are some things you
do NOT need to access Heaven: Wealth; health; fame; power; knowledge;
wisdom; good works; education; just to name a few. Even a child
or retarded person can access Heaven! All ANY person needs is child-like
faith in Jesus!
Consider the following
verses:
Ephes. 2:8-9 For
by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. (KJV)
1 John 3:23 And this is his commandment, That
we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love
one another, as he gave us commandment. (KJV)
John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye
believe on him whom he hath sent. (KJV)
Romans 4:21And being fully persuaded that,
what he had promised, he was able also to perform. (KJV)
Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness,
that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission
of sins. (KJV)
Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which
is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe:
for there is no difference: (KJV)
Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith,
we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (KJV)
Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified
by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even
we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by
the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the
works of the law shall no flesh be justified. (KJV)
John 3:15-16 That
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
[16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life. (KJV)
John 6:47 Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting
life. (KJV)
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them
gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe
on his name: (KJV)
Galatians 3:26 For ye are all the children
of God by faith in Christ Jesus. (KJV)
These verses all state
the same Truth, the same FACT. Faith in Christ Jesus is the ONLY
Way to access Heaven!
WORDS OF WISDOM
God says Jesus is the only Way to Heaven.
Believe Him. He does NOT lie! (Titus 1:2).

OUR SAVIOUR’S
LOVE
Our Saviour’s love is
something, that no one can explain,
It consists of loyalty, faithfulness, sacrifice, and pain!
His unselfish, deep love will always endless be,
Through these days of toil and sorrow, on thru’ eternity!
He gave of Himself, to benefit
the sinner,
Without a doubt, He’s our victorious winner.
His awesome, enduring love will last forever,
There’s nothing on this Earth, from us can sever.
Nothing can destroy it, or
take it away,
It will be there always, come what may.
Our Saviour’s love is patient, forgiving and kind,
His love is beyond description, and baffles the mind.
It will not falter, condemn,
stumble or fall,
The wondrous love of our Saviour, is there for us all.
I thank and praise Him, for this priceless treasure,
I’m grateful and indebted, far beyond measure.

WORDS OF WISDOM
No matter what your thoughts or feelings,
always obey the Lord.
This poem is the first one that God gave
me, that I put on paper. There were other times when “words”
would run rampant in my head, but I still did not know what was
happening. I had never cared for poetry. My Mother always loved
poetry and would attempt to read it to me. I simply could not see
what she liked about poetry.
So-o-o-o, when these “words” started coming to me, I
did everything I could to avoid them. But . . . God always wins!
I finally sat down and wrote the words which He gave me. I often
wonder how many poems I “threw away” because of my disobedience.
Since this is the Thanksgiving Message, I ask you . . . what are
you most thankful for? With me, more and more with each passing
day, it is the love of Jesus! How utterly awesome our precious Saviour
and Lord is to me. Because of His love for mankind, He makes it
so easy for me to love Him! I am so, so thankful, not only at this
time of the year, but every day that I live, for Jesus and His special
love.
Below are some verses that are special
to me.
John 13:1 Now
before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour
was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father,
having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto
the end. (KJV) On the night before His death, He revealed to
His disciples the full extent of His love. He knows our past sins,
and the ones we will yet commit. Yet, He still loves us. How do
you react to that kind of love?
John 15:9 As
the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my
love. (KJV) Jesus loves us just as the Father
loves Him. Wow!
John 15:12-13 This
is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
[13] Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his
life for his friends. (KJV) Jesus’ commandment
to us is this: love one another, just as He loves us. He showed
the greatest love anyone can have . . . to give your life for His
friends.
Ephes. 5:2 And walk
in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for
us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
(KJV) His awesome love for us led Him to sacrifice Himself so that
we might have eternal life. Our love for others should be of the
same kind . . . love that is far beyond affection and words, to
self-sacrificing service.
Titus 2:14 Who gave
himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify
unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. (KJV)
Christ gave Himself for us to set us free from slavery to sin and
to cleanse us so that we can be His special people who are devoted
to willingly serve Him.
Rev. 1:5 And from Jesus
Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the
dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved
us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, (KJV) Jesus
rose from the dead in an imperishable body (1 Cor. 15:20), never
to die again. He is the firstborn from the dead, meaning that those
who believe God and accept Jesus, will also rise from the dead.
Ephes. 3:19 And to
know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might
be filled with all the fulness of God. (KJV) “The fullness
of God” is completely expressed only in Christ (Col. 2:9-10).
Only when we are in union with Christ and have His empowering Spirit
within (Rom.8:9), can we ever be complete. We ALL have all the fullness
of God available to us. But IF we don’t believe God and accept
His Son, we will NEVER know this awesome love of Christ, which passeth
knowledge. To reject Christ and His love is stupidity! This
prayer of Paul’s was for the Ephesians, but it is also for
us. We can ask the Holy Spirit to fill every aspect of our life.
Please remember to thank God for Christ and His marvelous love,
and all His blessings.

CHRIST
Many of the prophets
of old, did foretell,
Of when Christ would come, and where He would dwell.
And of a young virgin, He would be born,
And His birth would become, a birth forlorn.
Gen.3:15; 49:10; Isa.9:7; 7:14; 11:1-2; Mic.5:2; Dan.9:25
They told how from
the king’s wrath, He’d have to flee,
Away to Egypt God sent Him, to safety.
Those walking in darkness, saw a great Light,
From Gentiles, God cast away their night.
Hos.11:1; Mat.2:4-15
Christ would spend
much time in Galilee,
Healing many sick, and infirmities.
His awesome love, always did abound,
In Him always, great love could be found.
Isa.9:1-2; Mat.4:12-16; 9:1
Then a tragedy; a
friend did betray,
Sold Christ for 30 pieces of silver that day.
Judas couldn’t live, with what He had done,
Betraying his Master, God’s very own Son.
Ps.41:9; 109:7-8; Ex.21:32; Mat.26:14-16; 27:3-10
Jesus, by false witnesses
were accused,
Smitten and spat upon, they did abuse.
He open’d not His mouth, tho’ they did oppress,
His heartbreak and pain, He did suppress.
Ps.27:12; 35:11; 38:13-14; Mat.26:60-63; Isa.50:6
He bore our griefs,
and carried our sorrows,
Jesus thought only, of our tomorrows.
Between wicked sinners, Christ was crucified,
His Hands and Feet were pierced, before He died.
Isa.53:4-5, 12; 50:6; Mat.8:16-17; 27:38; Ps.22:16; Zec.12:10
He was mock’d
and insulted, for hours on end,
His own had departed, He had not one friend.
His heart was bereaved, broken and heavy,
Not one was there, to comfort or pity.
Ps.22:6-8; 69:8-9, 20-21; Mat.27:39-40
Gall and vinegar,
they gave Him for thirst,
As His heavy heart, felt like it would burst.
But for His enemies there, He did pray,
Awesome forgiveness and love, He did portray.
Ps.109:4; Isa.53:12; Luke 23:34
On that horrid cross,
for us, our Saviour died,
His people insisted, He be crucified.
Soldiers, His side, with a spear did pierce.
No compassion! they were evil and fierce.
Zec.12:10; 13:9; John 1:11; 19:34; Mat.24:30; Rev.19:11
Thru’ it all,
not one of His bones did they break,
The work He was giv’n, He did not forsake.
Jesus was buried in a rich man’s grave,
The Son of God, for us, His life gave.
Ps.34:20; Ex.12:46; John 19:33; Isa.53:9; Mat.27:57-60
Christ Jesus did NOT
stay dead! He rose again!
The tomb was empty, where His body had been.
He ascended up into Heav’n above,
Where He takes our side, with such great love!
Ps.46:10; Mat.16:21; 28:9; Luke 24:36-51; Acts 1:9; Eph.4:8; 1 John
2:1;
Eph.1:20; Col.3:1; Heb.1:3, 13; 8:1; 10:12; 1 Pet.3:22

At this time of the year, people celebrate
the birth of Christ. NO where in the Bible does it tell
us to do this! There are only 2 birthdays mentioned, and
both are associated with murder (Gen.40:20; Mat.14:1-12). We are
told by Jesus to remember Him after He was gone (Luke 22:19-20).
He never tells us to celebrate His birthday.
All the displays set up show a tiny baby
in a manger. Yes! Absolutely, Jesus first bed was a manger, and
His virgin birth is absolutely the backbone of our Christian faith!
But . . . we do NOT worship a tiny, helpless baby.
We worship a grown Man, who is none other than Almighty GOD, our
Saviour and Lord! The above poem is a brief summary of Jesus’
life while He was here on Earth. He was a Baby once, YES! But He
“increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God
and man” (Luke 2:52). That tiny Baby grew up to be our
Substitute on the cross of Calvary. He paid a debt that He did not
owe, because we owed a debt we could never pay. He made eternal
life in Heaven available for all who believe God and accept His
Son, Jesus.
