HIS
GLORIOUS LIGHT
Walking
in His glorious Light,
I need not worry ‘bout my sight.
I walk by faith, when I walk in Him,
The path ahead is never dim.
His glorious
Light is all I need,
When on the precious Vine I feed.
My every need He does supply,
My trusting in Him does qualify.
His glorious
Light does abound,
Darkness is gone, from all around.
No matter my plight, His Light does shine,
‘Tis great to know that Jesus is mine.
Ne’er
any darkness, e’er at all,
His glorious Light won’t let me fall.
He removed the bonds of my sin,
When I believed, and trusted in Him.
His glorious
Light out shines the sun,
Who can compare? nary a one.
Nothing to His Light, can compare,
We must tell others; and His Light share.
I’ll never walk in darkness again,
For my Source of Light will not wane!
I’ll walk by faith, not by my sight,
When I walk in Christ’s glorious Light!

Words
of Wisdom
No man is uneducated who knows the Bible;
and no one is truly educated who is ignorant of its teachings.
LIGHT has many meanings in the Bible.
LIGHT is the product of God’s divine command:
Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there
was light. (KJV)
LIGHT is the joyous emotions of the mind, the pleasing sensations and happy
hours of life. Psalm 97:11 Light is sown for the righteous,
and gladness for the upright in heart. (KJV)
LIGHT is a symbol of God’s Holy Word.
Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light
unto my path. (KJV)
LIGHT typifies true religion and the delight it imparts.
Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light
of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. (KJV)
LIGHT implies the glorious inheritance of the redeemed.
Col. 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made
us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: (KJV)
God
is said to dwell in LIGHT inaccessible.
1 Tim. 6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the
light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to
whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen. (KJV)
LIGHT often expresses instruction.
Matthew 5:16 Let your light
so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father
which is in heaven. (KJV)
LIGHT is used of angels.
2 Cor. 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed
into an angel of light. (KJV)
God
is expressed as the Father of LIGHTS.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from
above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness,
neither shadow of turning. (KJV)
LIGHT was used to describe John the Baptist.
John 5:35 He was a burning and a shining light: and ye
were willing for a season to rejoice in his light. (KJV)
LIGHT describes all true disciples.
Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light
of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
(KJV)
LIGHT in its highest meaning is applied to Christ as the “Sun of righteousness.”
Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun
of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and
grow up as calves of the stall. (KJV)
Matthew 4:16 The people which sat in darkness saw great
light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung
up. (KJV)
The glorious Light of Jesus
manifests Truth to us. It also serves to guide us in right paths, for it graciously
removes all darkness around us. His Light also warns us of any rocks or sandbanks
that may be a danger or pitfall to us. Jesus is our Lighthouse on the most dismal
night. The glorious Light of Jesus also has a great encouraging, cheerful and
pleasing influence on God’s children. His Light is of the greatest comfort
to us, giving us sunshine in our souls and dispersing happiness and joy to all
within its borders. The glorious Light of Jesus brings contentment to our entire
being, casting far away the gloom of worry and fear. This glorious Light of
Jesus is available to any and all who are interested. It is so sad that so “few”
(Mat.7:13-14) take advantage of this immeasurable blessing that is free to all.
The gate may be small and the road narrow, but it truly is wide enough for the
entire world.

THE
LORD IS MY SHEPHERD
My
loyal Shepherd is Jesus, my Lord,
I will follow Him, in willing accord.
Trusting completely, I’ll follow Him,
For He lightens my path, it’s never dim.
I
shall not want, He fills all my needs,
My thirst and hunger, He always feeds.
He restores my soul to righteousness,
So many ways, my Shepherd does bless.
He
leads me only in paths that are right,
And He never lets me out of His sight.
For His Name’s sake, He does all these things,
Leading me on, to life everlasting.
Tho’
thru’ death’s shadowy valley I walk,
His Presence is near, as my fears He stalks.
His rod and His staff, they comfort me,
I’ll continue to follow Him joyously.
Secured
and refreshed; my Shepherd provides,
Tho’ enemies are near, in Him I confide.
My cup runs over, I have perfect joy,
His wisdom, love and pow’r, I do employ.
His goodness and mercy shall follow me,
Here on Earth, and on thru’ eternity.
One day I shall dwell in His Home on high,
For my Shepherd states that I qualify.

(Psalm 23; John 1:12-13; 3:16)
Words
of Wisdom
The worst can happen, but the best remains.
Isaiah
40:11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather
the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those
that are with young. (KJV) I think this verse is a beautiful description
of Jesus. Our Lord is often pictured as a Shepherd in the Bible, because He
gently cares for and guides His flock. He is so powerful yet so loving and gentle.
He is a Shepherd (Psalm 23); the Good Shepherd (John 10:11); the Great Shepherd
(Heb.13:20); and the Chief Shepherd (1 Peter 5:4). This Shepherd cares for the
most powerless and vulnerable members of society; for when we follow Him, we
are as defenseless as poor, timid sheep. We have no power on our own but must
depend completely on our Shepherd’s caring strength.
John
10:11 I am the good shepherd: the
good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. (KJV) A hired
man tends sheep for money, but our Good Shepherd does it for love. He is totally
committed and devoted to us. Jesus is not merely doing a job; He is dedicated
to us; He loves us. He even laid down His life for us. NO ONE can love us more than Jesus!
John
10:14 I am the good shepherd, and
know my sheep, and am known of mine. (KJV) The Good Shepherd
knows all those He has chosen, and is sure of them; while we also know whom
we have trusted, and are sure of Him. We see here the grace of Christ, NO ONE
could ever demand His life from Him; but He Himself laid it down, ever so willingly
for our redemption. He offered Himself for the Sacrifice. He was BOTH the Offerer
and the Offering. His laying down His life was His offering up Himself. He died
in our place, to obtain our being set free from the punishment of sin, and to
obtain the pardon for our sin. Only His death could ever have obtained that
pardon for us. He paid a debt He didn’t owe, because we had a debt we
couldn’t pay. NO ONE can love us more than
Jesus!
Hebrews
13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our
Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting
covenant, (KJV) A covenant (Promise) cannot be more faithful and immovable
than that which has its foundation in the precious Blood of the Son of God.
1
Peter 2:25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned
unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls. (KJV) We truly are like lost
sheep in the wilderness without our Shepherd! Jesus
is our Shepherd and Keeper of our soul!
1
Peter 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive
a crown of glory that fadeth not away. (KJV) The Chief Shepherd is Christ
Jesus! This refers to His Coming at the Rapture when we will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ.
All of
us lead others in some way, large or small. Whatever our role, our leadership
should be in line with the characteristics of Jesus:
- We
should realize we are caring for God’s flock.
- We
should lead out of willingness and eagerness to serve, NOT out of obligation.
- We
should be concerned for what we can give, NOT what we can get.
To
God be the glory!

THE
CROWN AND CROSS WAS HIS
They borrowed
a manger, to use as a bed,
For the precious Babe Jesus, to lay His Head!
They borrowed a colt, for Christ Jesus to ride,
A colt on which no one, had e’er been astride!
Christ borrowed
bread, high on the mountain side,
That the crowd’s hunger, might be satisfied!
He borrowed two little fish, from a young lad,
In all the people there, ‘twas all to be had.
Jesus borrowed
a boat, in which He sat and taught,
For the great multitude, His vast wisdom sought!
He borrowed a friend’s house, that He might rest,
They lovingly obliged, to this most special Guest!
They borrowed
a room, the Last Supper to eat,
An Upper Room, that was high up off the street.
From a very rich man, they borrowed a grave,
Jesus’ sepulcher was a small, lonely cave.
The crown
of thorns they crushed, on His precious Head,
Was not a borrowed crown, but His own instead!
The crown of thorns He wore, was His very own,
That dreadful, horrendous crown; was His alone.
The cross that He carried, so very painfully,
Is the cross where He died, in great agony.
That old rugged cross He bore, was His very own,
The cross where He bled and died, was His alone.

This is my husband’s
second favorite poem; his first being “I See Jesus Everywhere.”
All people can relate or identify with Jesus, including the poorest of the poor.
Our Lord was indeed poor when He walked the Earth as Man. He didn’t even
have a place to lay His precious Head (Mat.8:20). His first cradle was that
of lowest esteem; a borrowed manger (Luke 2:7). When He made His triumphant
entry into Jerusalem, He rode a borrowed colt (Luke 19:30). Christ also borrowed
two little fishes form a boy to feed the hungry crowd following Him (Mat.14:19).
Jesus borrowed a boat (ship) in which He sat and taught the crowd of people
(Mat.13:2). When He was tired and hungry, He often borrowed His friends’
home (John 12:1-2). He borrowed an upper room in which He and His apostles ate
the Last Supper (Luke 22:12). Jesus was buried in a borrowed tomb (Mat.27:57-60).
But, the crown of thorns
was not borrowed! That was His very own (Mat.27:29). And the cross where He
suffered and bled and died . . . for you and me . . . was not borrowed either!
That cross too was His very own (John19:17)! We truly must recognize just what
our Lord and Saviour has done for us! He loves us more than we can ever know! John 15:13 Greater love hath
no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (KJV) AMAZING LOVE!!!
Words
of Wisdom
God the righteous Judge declared us “guilty”
and then paid our penalty!
He came to pay a debt He didn’t owe,
Because we had a debt we couldn’t pay.
The Good News is not that Christ lived and died, but that He died and lives!
Jesus was born to die, so that we could be born to live!
Christ was lifted up on that cross, that we might be lifted out of our sin.
Jesus took my place on the cross, to give me a place in Heaven.
Christ’s empty tomb should fill us full of hope.
To believe in Heaven and not Hell, is like saying all is good and there is no
evil.
We will not be defeated by anything, if we depend on Christ for everything.
Faith is the ability to see God in the dark.
There are no dark days when you live in the Light of Jesus.
Millions of people have tons of religion; but not an ounce of salvation!
To those who are spiritually blind; Christ does not exist.
To those who are spiritually deaf; Christ does not speak.
To those who will not seek Him, Christ will not be found.
Living for Jesus, is absolutely the best reason for living!
To stay on course, use the Bible as a compass.
Knowing the Living Word, is the key to understanding the written Word.
Jesus
is the Answer! What is your question?

With
the above Scripture verses, showing the absolute power of our Lord
Jesus, doesn’t it make sense for true believers to harness
this amazing power? It is available for us! Why not use it? Why
do we “quench” the Spirit of Christ within us? To do
so is actually a sin, because we are in effect saying: “I
can do it myself.” PRIDE! We all know that pride is a sin.
The great and beautiful angel, Lucifer, fell because of pride.
The
power of Christ is there for us, day or night; all we need to do
is call upon the Name of the Lord in prayer! Then thank Him, praise
Him, for being there for us!

SO
SILENTLY
So
silently, God’s wondrous Gift is giv’n,
God imparts to us, wonders of His Heav’n.
Few hear His coming, in this world of sin,
Only humble souls, allow the Saviour in!
Only
the meek ones, will open their heart’s door,
To receive the blessings, Christ holds in store.
Silently He comes, blessings to impart,
Those who hear Him come, have a humble heart.
Few
hear Him knock, in this world of sin,
And fewer still, ever invite Him in!
Silently He comes, but most folks reject,
The only One, who can their soul protect!
So
silently, God gives His awesome Gift;
His only Son, who can heal sin’s wide rift.
But most of the world, push Christ away,
Pride, it seems, always gets in the way!
Have
you humbled yourself, before God’s son?
This is how, salvation must be won!
So silently, to you God will speak,
He truly desires, that His Son you seek.
God
will never, force Himself on you,
But only Christ, from Hell can rescue.
God will come to you, in love, silently,
Offering to you, life eternally!
Christ won’t come to you, with loud fanfare,
Nor will He beg you, to ascend Heav’n’s stair.
But where humble souls, receive Him still,
Our gentle Saviour, will always enter in!

A “gift” is simply something given to
us by another. A “gift” cannot be bought,
for then it would no longer be a gift. When you buy
something, it is a purchased possession, not a gift.
A gift is something acquired without any compensation
whatsoever. And if someone offers us a gift, it is
not ours until we accept it. We must take it or it
isn’t ours!
Our
gracious God gives His children many “gifts.”
The first and foremost is His precious Son. Once we
accept this first Gift from God, many others will
follow!
The
giving of gifts was widely varied in the Old Testament:
food (1 Sam.9:7); 16:20), sheep and cattle (Gen.24:53),
delicacies such as spices, honey, etc. (1 Kings 10:25;
2 Kings 5:22). The presentation was proudly presented:
the gifts were taken by the hands of servants (Judges
3:18), or on beasts of burden (2 Kings 8:9). By refusing
a gift, the donor was greatly dishonored and humiliated.
This is represented in the aggravated insult in Mat.22:11,
where the marriage robe was offered and refused.
Our
gracious God offers us the awesome and unique GIFT
of His Son. He does it with no fanfare, but silently
within the depths of your soul. Jesus comes, and He
knocks at your heart’s door (Rev.3:20). He absolutely
will NOT force Himself on anyone! If a person will
not accept the Gift God so graciously offers, simply
by opening the door of their heart, the Gift is NOT
theirs! But, if they do open their heart to Jesus,
this is just the beginning of many great things to
come!
Few
people ever hear Jesus knock. They are either too
busy, or too proud, And fewer still ever open the
door to their heart and accept this marvelous Gift!
With acceptance of Jesus, comes salvation (eternal
life in Heaven). We are given the Holy Spirit to abide
with us FOREVER (John 14:16). We are justified (we
are declared “not guilty” for our sins
by God). We have peace in our souls. We have joy in
knowing Heaven is ours, and we have a contentment
in our souls we didn’t know existed. All these
marvelous blessings (gifts) are ours, when we accept
that First Gift God offers us. These extraordinary
gifts are NOT available to unbelievers. Only when
a person accepts Jesus (the First Gift), are they
in line to receive God’s other gifts that He
so graciously bestows only on His TRUE children.
Only
Jesus can save your soul from an eternal Hell. Only
Jesus can take you to Heaven, where His Father is! John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I
am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh
unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)
Words
of Wisdom
We must be humble, if
to Heaven we would go,
The roof there is high, but the gate really low.
What ever we do and speak, must always be lowly,
For our grace is greatly increased by humility.

I
CAN’T UNDERSTAND
I
cannot understand, the mystery,
Of this amazing God of eternity.
He had no beginning; nor has a end,
Yet this awesome Being, wants us for a friend!
I
can’t understand, how He made the world,
He just simply spoke, and great things unfurl’d.
The light, the darkness, the sun, moon and stars,
The total universe, made by His pow’r!
I
can’t understand, how or why He chose me,
Chose me long ago, in past eternity.
Before He made the world, He knew my name,
His child I would be; ‘twas His plan, His aim!
I
can’t understand, why Christ had to die,
When I think of His suffering, I want to cry.
What actually happened, by God’s own Hand?
His death is a mystery, I don’t understand!
I
can’t understand, about Heav’n above,
I simply can’t understand, God’s vast love.
I cannot picture that street of pure gold,
Nor the City’s beauty, God has foretold!
I can’t understand, ‘bout eternity,
And I can’t comprehend Hell’s agony.
But for certain, this one thing I know,
Just thru’ Christ, will God’s blessings be bestow’d!

(Gen. chapter 1; Eph. 1:4-7; Mat. 27:25-46;
2 Thes. 1:8-9; Rev. chapter 21)
I can't
understand many things in the Bible. I have been teaching God’s Word for many years,
and I am wise enough to realize I will never be able to comprehend all the mysteries
surrounding our awesome triune God! But I know that everything in the Bible
is true; every little bit of it, from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21.
God’s
being eternal is a great mystery! He never had a beginning, and He will never
have an ending! Can you comprehend this? I cannot! But
it’s true!
I can't
understand how God just “spoke” and the world came into being! He made everything
out of nothing! Can you comprehend this? I cannot! How I love to look upon His
Creation and consider just how great He really is!
I absolutely
can't understand how God chose me to be His child, even before He ever began to create the Universe.
He knew all those centuries ago that I would be sitting at this computer this
very day, writing this Message! This just “blows my mind.” I
can't comprehend this at all! But it’s true.
Trying
to understand exactly why Jesus had to die on the cross, for something WE did,
for OUR sins, I can't comprehend this. I know He
left the glory of Heaven to come to Earth and suffer and bleed and die (for
us), and I know if we believe on Him we will be saved and forgives of our sins;
but I cannot comprehend this marvelous love! Can
you?
I have
read about Heaven, over and over again, but I can't SEE
it in my mind. The vast beauty of Heaven is simply not comprehended by
this humble servant. I believe Heaven is so wonderful that there are not enough
words in any language to describe it.
I can't
understand about Hell’s agony. I can't understand about
eternal (never ending) destruction. I can't understand how people can be told about Jesus, then willingly reject Him and His Work on
the cross; the Work that could keep them from this horrendous place, when they
could very easily go to Heaven instead! Most people want to go to Heaven, while
others think they will go there; but in reality, the ONLY Way to Heaven is Jesus,
no matter who you are, or where you are from. There is ONLY ONE God, and ONLY
ONE Way to access that One God; that being His one and only begotten Son. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto
him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no
man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV) Acts
4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none
other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV) NO ONE gets to Heaven without Jesus! They go instead to Hell!
There are
many things I cannot understand, but I do understand
one thing: my belief in Jesus will allow me access to Heaven, and then I will
have eternity to learn all the things God wants me to know.

OCEAN
OF LOVE
God’s
ocean of love, is all around,
So deep and so wide, it does confound.
Thru’ this ocean, each one of us sail,
When we trust by faith, He does avail.
Humbly we
sail, as we live each day,
His great love is around us always.
Tho’ storms of life, make waves high and wide,
We’ll come out fine, on the other side.
We can sail
on His ocean, peacefully,
We will not sink, He gives victory.
As we journey onward in this life,
His ocean of love, keeps us from strife.
Onward we
sail, thru’ the rocky shoals,
His will in our life, should be our goal.
His brilliant Light, as a beacon shines,
I claim God’s ocean of love as mine.
Humbly we
sail in God’s ocean of love,
His gracious concern comes from Heav’n above.
He watches us closely, as we sail,
Watching the good things, too when we fail.
Only my
Saviour can safely guide,
Great pow’r and wisdom He does provide.
Grace and mercy from our Lord does flow,
As thru’ God’s ocean of love we go.
Let’s not fail Him, as thru’ life we proceed,
To His soft gentle voice, we must pay heed.
Thru’ God’s ocean of love, let’s keep on,
Upheld by the Hand, of God’s own Son.

John 14:23 Jesus
answered and said unto him, If a man love me,
he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him,
and make our abode with him. (KJV) God’s lavish and
liberal love is available for ALL mankind! Red, yellow, black or white . . .
God loves all people who love His Son Jesus. God’s love is like an ocean
surrounding us! When we trust God by faith, we sail in the calm and serene waters
of His love. Our faith gives us great advantages that unbelievers never receive.
Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with
an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. (KJV)
God’s love for us is not a sudden and temporary impulse; it is everlasting.
It is an ocean of continual and ceaseless love. It is only by His magnificent
love that we don’t deserve (grace), that He adopts believing sinners as
His children.
1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should
be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew
him not. (KJV) Because of God’s matchless love, He adopts us as His
children when we believe Him and accept Hi Way of salvation, Jesus! To me, this
is an amazing verse. The Almighty Creator of the entire Universe, is my heavenly
Father! It just doesn’t get any better than this! He watches over all
His children as we sail, keeping our souls safe from all the storms of life.
Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our
hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (KJV) We know how dearly
God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with
His love. As we sail in the ocean of God’s love, the Holy Spirit keeps
us from crashing on the rocky shoals and treacherous reefs. We have victory
when we believe God and trust completely in Christ!
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us. (KJV) Only Jesus can guide you safely in this life
on Earth. Amazing grace and abundant mercy flows from our Saviour. There is
but ONE God, and that is the God of the Bible! NO other god will ever help you
in this life, nor can any other god ever give you eternal life in Heaven!
John 3:16 For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth
in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV)
God’s love is not inactive or self-centered; it reaches out and draws
others in. God shows us what true love is. God gave us His Son, the Best that
He had! Jesus paid the price for our sins, then freely offered us the new life
that He has bought for us. We must share the Gospel with others, so others may
know the love of Jesus. Have you shared God’s love today? Have you shared
Jesus today? If no, why not???

ONWARD
Onward,
till I reach the mountain top,
Tho’ steep and rocky, I must not stop.
Onward, thru’ the sunshine and fierce storms,
The Lord, my character He does form.
Onward,
thru’ the valley, dark and deep,
I must not fear, for my soul He’ll keep.
Onward, tho’ I have pain and sorrow,
The Lord leads on, to my tomorrow.
Onward,
tho’ I feel I can’t go on,
My strength is renew’d by God’s own Son.
Onward, tho’ at times my faith gets weak,
The Lord will encourage when I seek.
Onward,
tho’ persecution comes my way,
I must stand firm for Christ, ev’ry day.
Onward, for Jesus truly will bless,
The Lord will comfort me in my stress.
Onward, till I reach the mountain top,
No matter the trouble, I must not stop.
Onward, with blissful Heav’n as my goal,
For Christ has promis’d safety for my soul.

To gain self-control; give Christ control.
This poem speaks of faith,
trust and committment. What is committment? First it is a decision to accept
ChristJesus as your Saviour and Lord, but then too it is our willingness and
determinationto stay true to Christ, no matter what! Is this easy? NO! Many
things will come into your pathway that will give you every opportunity to go
back to your old way of life, and it is the devil that is behind all these things. 1 Chron. 29:5-B . . . . . And who then is willing to consecrate
his service this day unto the Lord? (KJV)
God doesn’t want
just a part of you, He wants ALL of you! The more you give of yourself to God,
the more He will be able to use you, and the more inner peace, joy and contentment
you will have in your life. Don’t hold back any portion of yourself. Give
God everything! When you do, God is well pleased with you.
There will be times those
valleys may get dark and deep, and you will experience pain and sorrow and persecution;
and there will be times that you feel as if you can’t go on. But, you
can . . . with the Lord’s help (John 15:1-5; Phil.4:13). Just keep moving
onward, and one day you will reach the mountain top!
What kind of committment
does God want from Me? What does God want most from me? And how can I please
God? The thing God want’s most from you is loyalty, or faithfulness. He
knows you will stumble and fall, but He doesn’t expect you to stay down!
If you simply reach out your hand to Him, He will gladly take your hand and
help you up! He’s ALWAYS there for you! He will NEVER leave you nor forsake
you, ever (Heb.13:5). He’s ALWAYS there for you, and He’s ALWAYS
near!
Are there times when you
don’t say “no” to God, but then you don’t say “yes”
either? Are there times you feel: “Why should I do my best? No one is
looking.” My friend, Someone is looking! So try your best all the time!
What does it mean to serve
Jesus? Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by
the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable
unto God, which is your reasonable service. (KJV) True born again believers
must live as a redeemed people in a fallen world. We are to give ourselves to
Christ as living sacrifices; love God and our neighbors, and help those who
are weak in the faith. May our spiritual sacrifices be acceptable to God through
His precious Son and our Saviour, Christ Jesus.
Proverbs 23:26 My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways. (KJV)
2 Tim. 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour,
sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

Our God shall watch o’er us, so lovingly.
The tree of life, its fruit shall always bear,
For our eternal Father, truly cares.
Our mansion
in Heav’n, shall need no repair,
Thru’ all eternity, ‘twill show no wear.
The street of pure gold shall never be worn,
‘Twill always be bright; never look forlorn.
Never any
dimness in Heaven’s Lights,
The unfailing Power shall always be bright.
The City’s walls shall never shift or fall,
No damage or harm shall ever befall.
The gates
of the City shall never sag,
No repairs needed, for they’ll never drag.
As I humbly enter Thy majestic Presence,
Thy awesomeness, I gratefully reverence.
What an
amazing Place, Heaven shall be,
‘Twill be Perfection, for eternity.
No repairs needed; for nothing shall fail,
Only peace, joy and goodness shall prevail.
Are you going to this marvelous Place?
Will you meet our Saviour there, Face to face?
God gives the Gift of Heaven, to all who believe,
Accept Christ, and Heaven, you shall receive.

He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep,
to gain what he cannot lose.
Deut. 8:4 Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty
years. (KJV)
Deut. 29:5 And I have led you forty years in the wilderness:
your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon
thy foot. (KJV)
Joshua 5:12 And the manna ceased on the morrow after they
had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna
any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.
(KJV)
Neh. 9:21 Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the
wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their
feet swelled not. (KJV)
It is SO easy to take God’s
love for granted. Do we thank God when our car doesn’t break down? Do
we thank Him when
our clothes don’t tear? Do we thank Him when something goes right? Israel
failed to notice just how God cared for them in those 40 years of wandering
in the wilderness. Their clothes and their sandals didn’t wear out, and
their feet didn’t swell. God provided them with manna every day for the
40 years, then it miraculously ceased when they entered the Promised Land.
Have you ever thought about
eternity in Heaven? Have you ever considered how God will take care of us .
. . for eternity? I cannot comprehend all this! But, we shall be cared for,
each and every day we are there; just as Israel was cared for those 40 years
in the wilderness.
Have you ever considered
our dwelling place there? Here, we have to repair something every time we turn
around. But, there, nothing will ever need repairs! Everything will be new,
for eternity!
What about the Light of
Heaven? Ever think about that? Here, many times the power goes off . . . no
lights! There, the Power of God and the Lamb (Rev.21:23) will never fail. The
huge, magnificent walls of the City will never need fixing. They will never
shift or fall, but stand firm and beautiful for eternity.
Those gates of the City;
have you ever thought about them? If you know anything about gates or doors,
you know that sometimes they tend to sag, thus making it difficult to open and
shut them. But the gates of Heaven will never need repairs!
What an amazing place this
will be! Perfection, because it was created by a Master! Only good things will
be there: love, peace, joy, happiness and contentment. No more pain or suffering
of any kind. No more crying.
Are you going to this awesome
place? There is only ONE Way to enter the gate. Only Jesus has the key! Don’t
let anyone lead you astray and tell you there is another way. There is NO OTHER
WAY . . . ONLY JESUS! You MUST go through Him to get to the Father who is in
Heaven! John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)

DISHONORING
CHRIST
To dishonor
Christ, is worse than death,
Let me think of this, as I take each breath.
I pray His Name I’ll never disgrace,
Or His precious Sacrifice, ever debase.
I pray I’ll
never disgrace His Name,
And that I never bring Jesus shame.
Let me not be ashamed of my King,
I want not any reproach to bring.
I pray I’ll
never my Saviour deny,
That would be worse than if I would die.
Let me not discourage others, I pray,
But make Jesus proud, each and ev’ry day.
To dishonor
Christ is an awful sin,
With God the Father, you cannot win.
Let me never use His Name in vain,
I pray I never bring my Saviour shame.
Let me never
dishonor my Lord,
I should walk with Him in willing accord.
I pray for wisdom to live in His Light,
Dishonoring Christ, is a fearful plight.
To dishonor Christ, will judgment bring,
For God thinks, it’s a horrible thing.
We should never bring our Saviour shame,
Instead we should honor and praise His Name.

Words
of Wisdom
The hallmark of a genuine Christian is that he
does
whatsoever the Lord asks him to do.
James 2:2-4 For if there come unto your assembly a man
with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile
raiment; [3] And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say
unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there,
or sit here under my footstool: [4] Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and
are become judges of evil thoughts? (KJV) Let’s say that a wealthy
person wearing a gold ring and fine, expensive clothes came to a meeting, and
a poor man in tattered clothes also came. Would you show more respect and honor
to the rich person? IF you are like most people, you probably would, BUT, then
you are guilty of discriminating and of making judgments based on evil motives.
God is NOT a respecter of persons!
Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God. (KJV) God does NOT show
favoritism to the rich or famous, nor to the strong and mighty.
Matthew 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them,
Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of
these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. (KJV) In Matthew
25:34-40, Jesus describes acts of mercy we ALL can do, every day! None of these
depend on excessive wealth, ability or intelligence. They are just simple acts
of kindness and mercy, freely done to others. There is NO excuse on our part
to neglect those who have needs, and we should not expect to hand over this
responsibility to the church or government. Jesus demands our personal involvement
in caring for others’ needs. What we do for others (or don’t do),
we are doing (or not doing) for Jesus.
Luke 9:26 For
whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man
be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of
the holy angels. (KJV) Christians (TRUE believers, TRUE
disciples) follow Jesus by imitating and obeying Him. And one thing Jesus commands
us to do is “Go ye therefore.” There actually are only a “few”
who truly obey this command! And my friend, it is a command! It is NOT an option
like most people would like to think. I have seen people who call themselves
“Christians” who NEVER tell others of Jesus, not those in their
own family, not their friends, not anyone! If people do not obey Jesus by telling
the Good News about Him, it is highly doubtful that they themselves are even
saved (Mat.7:21-23).
May
I ask? “Just how much do you value Jesus?”
He
SHOULD be #1 in your life!
Matthew 10:37-38 He that loveth father or mother more than
me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not
worthy of me. [38] And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me,
is not worthy of me. (KJV) If your commitment to Jesus
is just half-hearted, He is NOT happy with you. He wants ALL of you, or nothing.
We must be willing to deny self, take up our cross, and follow Him. Anything
less than this is simply superficial lip service. Anything less than this is
dishonoring Christ, bringing shame to Him. Anything less than this makes you
unworthy of His love and friendship.
There are MANY ways we
can dishonor our Lord as we live our daily lives. Anything we do to be a discredit
to, to be unworthy of, to humiliate or be an insult to Jesus, is dishonoring
Him. Remember, what we do or don’t do to others, we do or don’t
do to Jesus.

The secret of happiness is to count your blessings,
while others add up their troubles.
If you honor Christ in your heart, He will be honored by your life.

of them all: and when he had broken it, he began to eat. (KJV)

He
Condescended
Jesus did
condescend, for you and me,
Leaving His Home in Heav’n, to set us free.
He came willingly, to die on that cross,
Bearing our sin, that we’d not be at loss.
Condescending,
from KING to humble Man,
Voluntarily He came, to fill God’s plan.
He could have stayed, in His Home of beauty,
But He came instead, in love, not duty!
He lowered
Himself, to our level,
So we could someday, in His Home dwell.
Mocked and degraded, for us He died,
Only then, did God open Heav’n wide.
Do you condescend, for any today?
Or just go about, in your uppish way?
You must treat others, as you’d have them do,
We must be more like Christ, both me and you.

Words
of Wisdom
The next person you meet, may need to meet Jesus.
The greatest riches we can ever have are the riches we have in Christ.
A hypocrite is someone who is not himself on Sunday.
God works through us, to meet the needs of others around us.
Salvation is a Gift to be received, NOT a goal to be achieved.
He
took on our nature. Philip. 2:7 But made
himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made
in the likeness of men: (KJV)
Hebrews 2:16 For verily he took not on him the nature of
angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. (KJV)
He
was rich, but chose to be poor for us. Luke 9:58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes,
and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his
head. (KJV) 2
Cor. 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that,
though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty
might be rich. (KJV)
He became a servant for us. Matthew
20:28 Even as the Son of man came
not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for
many. (KJV) John 13:5 After that he
poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe
them with the towel wherewith he was girded. (KJV)
He exposed Himself to reproach and contempt. Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of
sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him;
he was despised, and we esteemed him not. (KJV) Romans 15:3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches
of them that reproached thee fell on me. (KJV)
He submitted to sufferings. Isaiah
50:6 I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that
plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting. (KJV) Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened
not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before
her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. (KJV)
He
died for us. John 10:15 As
the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for
the sheep. (KJV) Philip. 2:8 And being
found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death,
even the death of the cross. (KJV)
Our
Saviour and Lord (GOD) did NOT have to do what He did! But, He did it . . . for you and for me!
