THE JOB HE’S GIVEN ME

God has given me a job to do,
All lost souls about, I must pursue.
Good News of Jesus I am to bring,
That they might have life, everlasting.

Lord, I cannot do this job alone,
Please light my path so the way is shown.
I’m just a ‘branch’; Lord, You are the ‘Vine,’
I ask that your power might be mine.

Knowledge, understanding and wisdom,
These blessings, from you, I pray will come.
And words, precious words, please give to me,
That some may find life, eternally.

Let your Spirit guide me, and let Him teach,
That the lost I encounter, I might reach,
Your words, precious words, to me please give,
That the lost ones find the Saviour and live.

I categorize the poems God gives to me. This is a “Me” poem. When I wrote down the words that God gave me, He was speaking to me, but. my friend, this goes for you too. God gave me the job or reaching others . . . witnessing for Jesus. Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (KJV) Jesus’ Words.
Psalm 126:5-6 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. [6] He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. (KJV) John 4:35-36 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. [36] And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. (KJV) Jesus’ Words. James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. (KJV) Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. (KJV)

Sometimes we excuse ourselves from witnessing by saying that our family or friends just are not ready to believe. However, Jesus makes it very clear that around us there is a continual harvest, just waiting to be reaped. Will Jesus find you making excuses when He comes? Look around you. You will find many people ready to hear God’s Word. Christ compares His Work to harvest work (reaping). The harvest has an appointed time and is looked for before it comes. Harvest is a busy time; all must be at work. Harvest is a short time, and the reaping must be done THEN, or not at all. So too, is the time of the Gospel is a season, which if we pass it up, it cannot be recalled, and we will lose all the benefits of the season. Jesus left us an example, that we should take delight and pleasure in doing our job. We should enjoy serving our Lord! As we enter this new year, let us do as our precious Saviour, going out into the harvest fields which are “ready to harvest.” He gives ALL His disciples the same command: “Go ye therefore.” If you are a Christian (God’s child), it is your solemn duty to obey your Master and Name’s sake, CHRIST! If we do not do our job, the job will not get done, for it rests solely with us. Think about it.
Do you weep for the lost souls all around you?

WHY is the thought of Jesus’ Precious Blood so repulsive or offensive to some people, so much so that certain denominations have removed it from hymn books that contain the word “Blood”? What a pity! What a crying shame!

1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; [19] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: (KJV) For it is ONLY that Precious Blood of Jesus that can wash away your sins.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (KJV) Rev. 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, (KJV)

A slave was redeemed when someone paid money to buy his/her freedom. But, God has redeemed us from the bondage of sin, NOT with money, but with the precious Blood of His own Son.

1 Cor. 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. (KJV) Hebrews 9:12-15 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. [13] For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: [14] How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? [15] And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. (KJV)

God hates sin. We all are sinners, and we cannot escape from the penalty of sin, on our own. Only the life of God’s own Son, HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD, can free us from being a slave to sin and Satan, and the coming judgment of that sin.

Hebrews 7:27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. (KJV) Hebrews 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. (KJV) Hebrews 10:10-12 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. [11] And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: [12] But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; (KJV) The TOTAL price was paid by Jesus for our redemption! Living an openly wicked lifestyle (an unbeliever, anyone without Jesus) is HIGHLY dangerous, for it will absolutely put you in Hell! You NEED Jesus and His Work on the cross. You NEED HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD! Don’t leave this world without it! Life is meaningless and actually worthless without Christ and the redemption He offers (eternal life in Heaven). Jesus if the ONLY Way, the Truth, and Eternal Life! (John 14:6; 10:28).

Words of Wisdom
Money will buy a bed, but it won’t buy sleep.
Money will but food, but it won’t but an appetite.
Money will but medicine, but not good health.
Money will but a house, but, not a happy home.
Money will but a diamond, but it won’t buy love.
Money will buy a church pew, but not salvation.

Luke 1:79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. (KJV) . . . Jesus came to give us light to guide us awlays (even to death), and give us peace.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid
. (KJV) Jesus’ Words. . . . Peace is confident assurance in ANY circumstance. This Gift, Christ gives when we trust Him, is simply awesome. For the Peace that He gives . . . is Christ Himself! He is our Peace! This Peace CANNOT be felt by unbelievers, for you must trust and accept Jesus into your heart to have it. If your life is full of stress, allow the Holy Spirit to fill you with Christ’s Peace! Satan sees to it that we have sin, fear, uncertainty and doubt always near to tempt us. Let God’s Peace mobe into your heart, for it will restrain these mighty powers and give us comfort instead of conflict. Jesus says He will give us this Peace, but we must be willing to accept it from Him. A “gift” is not yours, unless you accept it.
Philip. 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. [7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (KJV)
Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (KJV) . . . Peace with God means we are reconciled with Him because of belief in Jesus. There is no more hostility nor sin blocking our relationship with Him. Peace with God is possible only because Jesus paid the price for our sins through His death on the cross. There is ONLY ONE who can make us right with God.
John 15:14-15 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. [15] Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. (KJV) Jesus’ Words. . . . Everyone who loves Jesus should continue (keep on, persevere) in their love for Him, and take every chance to show it. There is great peace and joy for those who abide in Christ’s love; it is like a continual feast! We are to show our love to Him by keeping His Commandments. Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. [38] This is the first and great commandment. [39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. [40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (KJV) . . . Christ’s love to us should direct us to love each other.

Put your faith in Christ, and your fears will be put to rest.

FOR ME!

Under a dark, looming Eastern sky,
A humble Man, stumbled forth to die.
In the midst of a crowd, shouting with glee,
This Man went forth, to die for me!

A crown of thorns pierced His precious Head,
His Blood reveal’d ev’ry step He tread.
He bore that cross in pure agony,
As this Man went forth, to die for me!

They drove nails into His Hands and Feet,
After many hours that they scourged and beat.
Naked He hung in complete humility,
This Man consented to die for me!

On that awful cross, my sins He did bear,
A burden He asked no one to share!
All this He did out of love so free,
This awesome Man --- He died for me!

Because of this Man; great blessings are mine,
Peace, joy, comfort, grace, and strength divine!
But, best of all, life eternally,
For Christ Jesus gave His Life for me!

For me! For me! this awesome Man died!
For me! For me! He was crucified!
For me! His death was pure victory!
For it gives me Heaven eternally!

John 3:14-15 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: [15] That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (KJV) Jesus’ Words. Many people do not understand WHY Jesus had to die for us. When the Israelites wandered in the desert, they rebelled against God (time and time again . . . like us). God sent a plague of poisonous snakes to punish the people for their rebellion. They were doomed to die from snakebite . . . UNLESS they obeyed God’s Command to look up to the elevated bronze snake and by BELIEVING that God would heal them if the did.

Numbers 21:8-9 And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. [9] And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. (KJV) We are in a very similar situation. Our salvation happens when we look up to Jesus, and BELIEVE He will save us. God provided this Way (the ONLY Way) for us to be healed of sin’s deadly bite.

John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (KJV) Jesus’ Words. . . . This is the Gospel in a nutshell! God’s love is not inactive or self-centered; it reaches out to whosoever. God paid dearly with the life of His Son, the highest price He could pay. Jesus accepted OUR punishment, paid the price for OUR sins, and offered us the new life that He had bought for us.

To BELIEVE is more than an intelligent agreement that Jesus is God. Even the devils believe this and tremble (Jam.2:19). To BELIEVE in Him means to place our trust and confidence in Him, knowing that He, and He alone can save us. It is placing Christ inn charge of your present plans and eternal destiny. Believing is trusting His Words as reliable, and relying on Him for the power to change you. If you have never trusted Christ, BELIEVE . . . and let this Promise of everlasting life be yours! Some people are disgusted by the idea of eternal life because their lives here are miserable. BUT, eternal life is NOT a continuation of a person’s miserable, mortal life; eternal life is a guarantee that you will live forever, in an environment where there is NO death, NO sickness, NO enemy, NO evil, NO pain, NO sorrow, NO sin whatsoever!

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (KJV) Jesus’ Words. . . . If you know Jesus as your Saviour and Lord, you are God’s child and Heaven awaits! If you reject Jesus (refuse to trust and believe who He is), you are doomed for the judgment of Hell. Our soul is eternal, and shall live in one of two places when we die. The Bible is very clear that there are ONLY two destinations: Heaven and Hell! This life is just the introduction to eternity, and this life is where WE decide just where we shall spend eternity. The choice is completely up to you. God wants you as His child (John 1:12-13; 3:3), but He will never force you to accept Jesus. If you do not know Jesus as your Saviour and Lord, ask Him to come into your heart today! You’ll never be sorry.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (KJV) All who believe in God's Son have eternal life. But, those who refuse to obey Jesus will never experience eternal life, but the wrath of God remains upon them. BEWARE my friend! Hell’s gate is open wide and beckoning to all who reject Jesus! It’s not too late to change directions!

I FORGET

When things go well, I forget You’re even there,
Lord Jesus I forget, You’re a Friend who really cares!
But when life is topsey-turvey, and goes askew,
Then I remember, I should have faith in You!

I seem to forget You, on bright, cheery days,
Lord Jesus I forget, Your friendship guides my ways!
But when the day is dark, and dreary to the end,
It’s then I remember, You are a loyal Friend!

When my health is good, I forget about You,
Lord Jesus I forget, how much You really do!
But when I’m sick, and my body’s wracked with pain,
Then I remember, Your comfort is such great gain!

You, I forget, when many friends surround me,
Lord Jesus I forget, just You give serenity!
But when my friends leave, and I’m alone and blue,
Then I remember, You are a Friend so true!

I forget at times, this life on Earth will pass,
Lord I forget, we’re as the flow’r of the grass!
I must remember, only You have Heav’n’s key,
And only You dear Lord, give life eternally!

Do you ever tend to FORGET about God when things are going well in your life? Times of prosperity and good health are much more dangerous to a person’s soul than times of troubles and want. Proverbs 1:32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. (KJV) Proverbs 30:9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain. (KJV) If people grow rich and full, they may say, "Who is the Lord?" The poor may steal and thus insult God's Holy Name. It is truly very foolish to FORGET God! And we tend to forget about Him when everything is going well, when we are feeling good! But, the moment any kind of tragedy hits us. what do we do? We run to the God we forgot about, the God whom we threw up on a shelf in the closet of our mind. And worse, we expect (sometimes insist) that He come running to our beck and call!

We forget what a truly awesome Friend we have in Jesus! We STORE Him away in a drawer when things go well; then hurry and grab Him out as soon as something does awry. When our friends are there for us, why do we need Jesus? Let Him rest! When our health is good, we really do forget all that He does for us. And nearly everyone forgets just how brief life really is. Psalm 90:5-6 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. [6] In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth. (KJV) Psalm 103:15-16 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. [16] For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. (KJV) NO one knows how much time they have left on Earth! We are here today; gone tomorrow! We could slip and fall getting out of the bathtub and die. And what about the rich folks? He may store up riches on Earth, but he will die just the same as a poor person.

James 1:10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. (KJV) 1 Peter 1:24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: (KJV) Please be careful not to forget about our wonderful God and Saviour of our soul.

Deut. 8:11 Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day: (KJV)
Isaiah 17:10-11 Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips: [11] In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow. (KJV) You may plant the finest imported grapevines, and they may grow so well that they blossom on the very morning you plant them, but you will never pick any grapes from them. Your only harvest will be a load of grief and incurable pain.
Isaiah 51:13 And forgettest the Lord thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor? (KJV)

God the Father, through His Son, does so much for us! Let us not FORGET them and let us not forget to thank them for what they do for us; and let us praise their Holy Name! Praise and thank and boast of God to others, at all times, and in all places! What an awesome God we have!
Psalm 34:1-3
I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. [2] My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. [3] O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. (KJV) Praise the Lord at all times. Constantly speak His praises. Boast only in the Lord; may all who are oppressed listen and be glad! Let us never forget to tell or never tire of telling of the Lord's goodness.

Words of Wisdom
God does not keep life’s storms from us; He walks with us through them!

I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU

If we be perfect thru’ Christ, and upright,
Fearing, revering God; things can be bright.
He will uphold us, whatever may come,
Till we behold Him, in Our Heav’nly home.

Satan shall buffet our body so weak,
Let us remember; our Saviour, so meek.
No one who has e’er walked here below,
Has been thru’ the suff’ring that Christ did know.

Shall we receive only good from God’s Hand?
When His only Son agonized on this land.
If we remember to give God first place,
He shall be with us as we run our race.

Bad things may come on our pathway of life,
That which we fear the most, may cause us strife.
Let us not lose our faith, nor trust in Him,
And that long pathway will never be dim.

Great troubles may come when we least expect,
And over our lives, we may then reflect.
“What did I do to deserve this? why me Lord?”
Then we recall what He says in His Word.

He knoweth exactly the way that I take,
He’s watching to see the progress I make.
God makes us a promise, one He won’t break,
I will never leave you; never forsake!

(Ps.1:6; 33:8; 89:7; 22:6-8;,16-18; Ec.12:13; Is.8:13; ch.53; Job 2:7; 2 Co.12:7; Lu.13:16; 1 Co.10:13; Heb.13:5; Jn.19:16-18; Mt.22:37)

Words of Wisdom
The secret of happiness is to count your blessings while others are adding up their troubles.

When we accept Christ Jesus as our Saviour and Lord, God transfers the holy and pure righteousness of His Son to us (Rom.10:4; 1 Cor.1:30; Phil.3:9). That is the ONLY way that we can ever be perfect and upright in God’s eyes. Trusting Jesus in faith washes all our sins away from our souls (Mat.26:28; Rom.5:1,9; Col.1:19-22). When God looks down from Heaven and sees His children (John 1:12-13; 1 John 3:1,10), He does NOT see our sins, He sees the precious Blood of His Son (1 Pet.1:18-19).

So . . . shall we receive only good things from God? Absolutely not! God does allow trials and tribulations to come into our lives (Book of Job). We are to give thanks in everything (1 Thes.5:18), and that means good AND bad! WHY give thanks for sorrow and pain? God very plainly tells us the answer! Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (KJV) If you are a child of God, EVERYTHING that happens to you, happens for a reason! And if it is trouble or pain, the end result will benefit you! I promise you this, because God promises it! At the time we experience difficulty, we wonder: “How can any good ever come out of this?” Many times we will see the answer in this life, but other times we may not have the answer until we reach Heaven. If we take the wrong attitude toward suffering, we are actually telling God that we are better than His only begotten Son! NO one suffered more than Jesus! He suffered (body and soul), more than our human bodies could ever tolerate.

We are to remember that God will NEVER leave us, and NEVER forsake us ever! So . . . does God take our hardships away? Sometimes, but most often He does not! If God took our troubles away, people would go to Him ONLY to have their pain and suffering removed, not out of love for Him. His ever present comfort gives us strength and encouragement to go on; also hope to cope with our problems. The more we suffer, the closer God seems to be to His children, and the more comfort we derive from God’s never ending storehouse of love, grace, mercy, compassion, strength, goodness, etc. God comforts us so that we might comfort others on down the road (2 Cor.1:4). One day we will see someone with the same trouble that we experienced. When we do, we will be able to sympathize with them and give them love, comfort and strength just as God did for us. In other words, we must pass on the good that we received from God

Suffering is NOT always bad!
1. It draws believers closer to God. Psalm 119:67,71
2. It tests our faith. 1 Peter 4:12-13
3. It glorifies God. John 9:3; 11:14-15
4. It makes us humble. Proverbs 16:18; 12:7
5. It teaches us to depend on Him. Isaiah 30:15
6. It produces patience. Romans 5:3-5
7. It makes us sympathetic. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
8. It makes us like Christ. Romans 8:29
9. It makes us strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10; Colossians 1:11
10. It teaches us a lesson, and it always has a purpose. Psalm 30:5

This Friend

It’s such a joy in life, when you find,
Love of a true Friend, who is so kind.
Life has so many turns, on a twisted road,
We need a Friend to help, with our load!

Peace, contentment and joy; this Friend gives,
Helping with our problems, as we live.
The Arm of this dear Friend, is so strong,
When we lean on Him, He keeps us from wrong.

This Friend knows, all the trouble we bear,
He’s so gentle, and shows He cares.
When silent sorrow, show on our face,
He’ll comfort, then gladness takes its place.

When troubling thoughts, great despair bring,
This wondrous Friend, makes us want to sing.
When temptation comes, your soul to try,
This Friend is the One, who will stand by.

Many paths our souls, must go alone,
But we have this Friend, who is our own.
Ev’n if the road, is rugged and steep,
This awesome Friend, in His grip He’ll keep.

This Friend’s compassion, truly endures,
When you need sympathy, it is yours.
This Friend will never, be far away,
And He’s there to aid us, come what may.

Words of Wisdom
Put your faith in Christ, and your fears will be put to rest.

Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels. (KJV) Jesus’ Words. . . . Tell others about Jesus!

You will never find a better or truer Friend than Jesus. When you have Jesus a Friend, you have much more than friendship! The blessings that are derived from trusting Him and accepting Him into your heart and life simply cannot be put into words! We are no longer God’s enemy (Rom.5:10), I don’t think anyone wants to be God’s enemy!

We are justified (Rom.5:10), declared not guilty in the courts of Heaven.
We have access to God (Rom.5:2), God will NOT hear prayers of unbelievers (John 9:31).
We are saved from God’s wrath and penalty of sin (John 3:18,36; Rom.5:9).
Our name is written in the book of Life (Luke 10:20; Phil.4:3; Rev.20:15).
We have joy that those who do not know Christ cannot have (1 Pet.1:8; John 15:11; 16:24; Rom.5:11). Joy is knowing you are going to Heaven. You can have joy even in deep sorrow.
We can have peace the world (unbelievers) cannot have (John 14:27; Rom.5:1; Phil.4:7).
We have a home in Heaven with our name on it (John 14:2-3; 1 Pet.1:4).
Our souls are kept safe by God (1 Pet.1:5; John 17:11; 2 Tim.1:12; Jude 24).
He promises to supply all our needs (Phil.4:19).
He promises to give us strength to do all things (Phil.4:13; John 15:5).
We can be content with Jesus as our Friend (Phil.4:11; 1 Tim.6:6-8).
Only through Jesus can we have forgiveness of our sins (Acts 13:38; 26;18; 1 John 1:6-10).
We can have comfort through Jesus (John 14:1,18; 2 Thes.2:16-17).
We become “heirs of salvation” through Jesus (Tit.3:7; Heb.6:17).
We are given guardian angels to look after us (Heb.1:14).
We have an “Advocate” in Jesus. He takes our side before God the Father (1 John 2:1).
We have His love, and NO ONE can separate us from it! See below.

Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (KJV)
Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (KJV) NOTHING can ever separate us from the love of God which we have because we have trusted Jesus! Absolutely NOTHING! Without question, Jesus is the most true, sure, steadfast, supreme, ultimate, unconditional and best Friend you will ever have! And as I have stated, friendship is just the tip of the iceberg as far as blessings are concerned.

If you do not know Jesus personally, as Friend, Saviour and Lord, you are missing out on so much. Open your heart’s door to Him NOW!

Rev. 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (KJV) Your heart’s door has only one door knob, on the inside. YOU must open the door and ask Him in! Jesus will NEVER force Himself on you, ever! It is a decision that only you can make; and it’s the biggest and most important decision you will ever make in your lifetime . . . bar none! Making the wrong choice means spending eternity in Hell (2 Thes.2:1:8-9). CHOOSE JESUS!! Tell others about this amazing Friend! Don’t keep Him all to yourself! There’s enough of Him and His love to go around.

GOD’S CREATION

There is such vast beauty all around,
We can see it, and feel it; and hear its sound!
Beauty mostly comes from common things,
And great pleasure to us it brings.

There is great beauty in which God has made,
And this beauty, never seems to fade.
From the purple mountains’ majesty,
To painted canyons filled with mystery.

All around us, such beauty we see,
Hills filled with cattle, and birds carefree,
Wildflowers blooming from ev’ry nook,
A deer and fawn, drinking from a brook.

Such awesome beauty in ev’ry place,
Bear cubs playing, in blundering grace.
Salmon splashing in a rocky stream,
Puffy white clouds in a sky, serene.

The dewy-wet grass beneath my feet,
The wistful fragrance of a rose so sweet.
A mockingbird serenades in the night,
The glow of the sunrise, and the swallows flight.

All these blessings, and so many more,
God’s Creation holds so much in store.
‘Tis so sad most folks, don’t take time to see,
The beauty God made for you and me.

Words of Wisdom
God does not keep storms of life from us, He walks with us through them.

Psalm 8:6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: (KJV) God has put us in charge of everything He made, and gave us authority over all things. God gives us a tremendous responsibility! Putting us in charge of the whole Earth. If we own a pet, we have the legal to do with it as we wish, but we also have the responsibility to feed and care for it. How do you treat God’s Creation? God will hold you accountable for your stewardship.

Psalm 19:1-6 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. [2] Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. [3] There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. [4] Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, [5] Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. [6] His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. (KJV) In observing God’s awesome Creation, we quickly learn just how powerful He is, and how limited and weak we really are. We are surrounded by fantastic displays of God’s perfect craftmanship and handiwork. We see dramatic evidence of His existence, His power, His love and His compassionate care. Anyone who says that the Universe happened by chance is a complete fool! Its design, complexity and order in which it is made; point to a Creator who is personally involved! As you look at the ‘canvas’ of God’s masterpiece in nature, and the heavens, thank Him for the magnificent beauty He places all around us! Praise Him for who He is and what He is able to accomplish with His awesome power and wisdom.

Psalm 104:24 O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches. (KJV) God’s wondrous Creation is filled with amazing variety, revealing the goodness and wisdom of our loving God. As you look around you, consider people! Each person is God’s unique creation, each one with his or her own specific talents, abilities, gifts; and each one different in their appearance. Everything God has made, is made in wisdom!

Psalm 136:5 To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever. (KJV) MERCY is the Lord’s character to save all those whom sin has left forlorn and disgusting (in God’s eyes). MERCY is also the provision He has made for the redemption of sinners; that being Christ Jesus. God’s mercy has always been! This characteristic of God is everlasting. It was His characteristic far before He performed His awesome work of creating the Universe, and the effects of it will endure for ever, to all who are interested in it. The Lord is more than ready to show mercy to all who seek for it! His mercy is the source of all our hope and comfort. Praise You, Lord Jesus!

I’M NOT WORTHY

Lord, I’m not worthy of your royal grace,
Yet all my evil sins you do erase!
All because I have trusted your dear Son,
Your undeserved kindness I have won!

Lord, of your compassion, I’m not worthy,
Yet my awesome God has pity on me!
All because Christ Jesus I did accept,
In troubles or sorrow you will protect!

I’m not worthy of your patience that endures,
You tolerate my sins when Satan lures.
All because Christ’s precious Blood justifies,
Jesus’ righteousness you’ll never deny.

I’m not worthy of all your forgiveness,
Yet you cast my sins away, as you bless.
All because Jesus paid the total price,
He died on the Cross, the supreme Sacrifice!

I’m not worthy of your amazing mercy,
Yet your blessings stream so abundantly.
All because I’m renewed by Christ’s Spirit,
And Him I obey, and my life submit.

I’m not worthy of your enormous love,
Yet it pours liberally from above!
All because I have trusted your dear Son,
Eternal life in heaven, I have won!

Words of Wisdom
To KNOW you have been saved is good. To SHOW you have been saved is better!

Scripture references:
Grace: Acts 15:11; Ro.3:24; 5:15;11:6; Eph.2:8-9; 4:7; 2 Co.12:9; Tit.2:11; 3:5,7.

Compassion: Psalm 78:38 Psalm 86:15 Jeremiah 12:15 Lament. 3:32 Hosea 11:4 Micah 7:19
Patience: Is.48:9; Ro.2:4; 3:25; 9:22; 10:21; 1 Pet.3:20; 2 Pet.3:9.

Mercy: Ps.103:17; 108:4; 119:64; Lam.3:22-23; Mic.7:18; Tit.3:5.
Love: Jer.31:3; Jn.3:16; 16:27; Ro.5:8; Ep.2:4-5; 1 Jn.3:1; 4:9,16.

HUMILITY is a distinct Christian grace, A child of God CANNOT be proud and arrogant! 2 Cor. 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; (KJV) We can do anything of lasting value by ourselves. Our power and success come only from God.

HUMILITY pleases God. 1 Peter 3:4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. (KJV) God’s children should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. That is precious to God. Col. 3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; (KJV) We must clothe ourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

HUMILITY preserves our soul with serenity and peace. Psalm 69:32-33 The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God. [33] For the Lord heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners. (KJV) The humble will see God working and be glad. When we seek God's help, we live in joy. For the Lord always hears the cries when we need help and does not forget those in prison.

Here are just a few examples of great people in the Bible; all of them considered themselves unworthy before God. * Abraham (Gen.18:27). * Jacob (Gen.32:10). * Moses (Ex. 3:11; 4:10). * Joshua (Jos.7:6). * Gideon (Jud.6:15). * David (1 Chron.29:14). * Hezekiah (2 Chron.32:26). * Manasseh (2 Chron.33:12). * Josiah (2 Chron.34:2). * Job (Job 40:4; 42:6). * Jeremiah (Jer.1:6). * John the Baptist (Mat. 3:14). * The Centurion (Mat.8:80). * Elizabeth (Luke 1:43).

Philip. 2:6-8 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: [7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: [8] And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. (KJV) . . . Even though Jesus was God, he never demanded His rights as God. He took on the humble position of a servant in human form. He obediently humbled himself even further by dying a criminal's death on a cross. Thank You Jesus! Thank You!

We ALL are sinners, we ALL are unworthy of the blessings of God! But, praise be to our precious Saviour and Lord, Christ Jesus; God’s grace is shed upon all His children! God blesses us with tremendous love, compassion, patience, forgiveness and merciful kindness; all because of His only begotten Son! The peace and joy that Jesus gives, flows deep within us, and is too wonderful for words, A great Christian paradox is as follows: “Humility is the avenue to glory.” Quite different from what the world thinks!

We’ll walk in the Light, if we follow our Guide!

God’s love seems best, when He gives victory!

There is no sorrow, that He’ll not help you bear!

Words of Wisdom
Looking back . . . Thank Him!
Looking ahead . . . Trust Him!
Looking around . . . Serve Him!
Looking up . . . Expect him!

Author unknown.

I, personally cannot think of anything that would be better than being God’s child. I, personally, cannot see how I could possibly manage even one short hour without His wondrous grace. My wonderful heavenly Father helps me in all I do. There is a Bible verse that I dearly love: 1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. (KJV) As a believer in Christ Jesus, it gives me tremendous peace and joy and comfort, to KNOW that God loves me and calls me His child! GOD . . . who is so wise, awesome and powerful that He created the entire Universe. This awesome God loves me! This never ceases to amaze me!

ALL those who have trusted and accepted Jesus to save them are God’s children. John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: [13] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (KJV) . . . We are his children NOW, not just sometime in the future! John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (KJV) God loves us! He is there to help us, no matter what our problem. The world knows so little of the happiness of the TRUE followers of Christ. The world never even considers that these poor, humble, despised ones, are God’s favorites and will be in Heaven with Him some day. Those who firmly follow Christ should be content; even when we face pain, sorrow, difficulties oppression, hatred, etc. We are sojourners in a land of strangers; where our Lord was so horribly treated before us. God’s children must walk by faith, and live by hope; and patiently wait in faith, hope and earnest desire for the return of our Lord Jesus.

To me, personally, God’s love seems best when I have the biggest problems, the deepest sorrow, great heart-felt agonies, penetrating sadness or gloom that seems to immerse my very soul . . . but I greatly appreciate His love even in the smallest matters. I am thankful I have access to God, because of Jesus (Rom.5:1-2); for I can take all my problems (small or devastating), to His awesome Throne of Grace, and I know when I do, I KNOW that He hears my humble request, and I KNOW He will answer me. God can heal ANY physical disease, although many times He chooses not to do so. You can be certain though, should He not heal you, there is a very GOOD reason, and rest assured, the end result will always benefit you in some way! Count on it! Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (KJV)

BELIEVE HIM! TRUST HIM! PRAISE HIM! THANK HIM!

Words of Wisdom
To those who are spiritually blind, Christ does not exist.
To those who are spiritually deaf, Christ does not speak.
To those who refuse to seek, Christ cannot be found.

The closer you get to Jesus, the more love you will feel, deep down inside! His love is like no other! His love simply CANNOT be put into words! It’s marvelous!

Ephes. 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. (KJV) We can experience the love of Christ, but we will never fully understand it. His love is filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. “The fullness of God” is fully expressed ONLY in Christ. When we are in union with Christ, and empowered through His Holy Spirit; then and only then are we complete. “The fullness of God” is readily available to us, yet most of the world will not accept it, nor do they want it. But, those without Jesus, those who have not been born into the family of God (John 1:12-13), will never have this amazing, true love, for it comes only by accepting Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. God’s children must claim that fullness through faith and prayer as we follow Him daily. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill every aspect of your life to the fullest wit that awesome love of Jesus.

Col. 2:9-10 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. [10] And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: (KJV) Only in Christ, does the fullness of God live in a human body, and we are complete only through our union with Christ. He is the Lord over every ruler and authority in the universe. The word complete shows us that we have in Christ all that we’ll ever need. “In Christ” means we are united in Him. It means we are saved! It is not as though He were far off from us, but instead, He and His love is WITHIN us by His Spirit.

The love of Jesus flows through our soul like a gentle rolling river! Once you have His love, He will NEVER take it from you (John 14:16). Oh! How wonderful that is! You experience peace, joy and contentment that is made possible only through Jesus! It is so sad that so many today have NONE of these things in their lives. Their lives are filled instead with hatred, gloom, heartache, mental anguish, affliction; addictions, worry, doubt, grief, sadness, etc. Jesus can take all that away! It’s not as if God’s children will never have any pain, sorrow or suffering. We most certainly will have difficulties. But, the wonderful part is, Jesus and His love is there for us, day or night, no matter what our trouble is! God never promises to take our burdens away, but He does promise to walk with us through our dark times, and help carry our load (Mat.11:29-30). The peace and joy of knowing this, is something I cannot describe to you. You simply BELIEVE God, and trust Him to do as He says He will do, because you know in your heart that God CANNOT lie (Titus 1:2).

Are you REALLY thankful for the love of God and His precious Son? Are you REALLY thankful for all the blessings that are bestowed upon you day after day? Please don’t forget to thank our awesome Triune God for everything that they do for you!

THAT BETHLEHEM BABE

‘Tis hard to comprehend, how that Baby,
Could possibly in the God-head be!
But Baby Jesus, as in the manger lay,
God, His only begotten Son did display.

Our God descended as a humble Man,
‘Twas God, the Father’s well thought out Plan.
His bed was not adorn’d with silver nor gold,
But a wooden manger, in a barn so cold!

The Christ Child who came, is Master of all,
Those in palaces great, or huts so small.
Many angels welcomed Him, as they sang,
As their booming voices, in the night rang.

The Child, by the hosts of Heav’n was ador’d,
Christ Jesus, is the everlasting Lord!
The God-head was veil’d in flesh, perfectly,
The Babe was the Incarnate Deity!

The Heav’n born Prince of Peace, came that night,
To “whosoever,” He brings life and light!
He was born that we may die no more,
And gives us grand blessings He holds in store.

He was born to give us a second birth,
Came to save the souls of all those on Earth.
On that wondrous, holy night, long ago,
The Christ Child came, salvation to bestow.

This humble Man, was born for you and me,
To give us a GIFT: life eternally,
God’s Promise fulfill’d, the Messiah came,
That Bethlehem Babe; Jesus is His Name!

Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. (KJV)
Matthew 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, (KJV)

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (KJV)
Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. (KJV)

I have been teaching God’s Holy Word (the Bible), for many years now. It never ceases to amaze me! When I read the prophecies in the Old Testament, then go over to the New Testament and see where they were fulfilled . . . to the letter, I know for a fact that God NEVER lies!

But, there are some things in the Bible I simply cannot understand, therefore I cannot teach them. Many things were not meant for us to understand completely, and the virgin Birth of Jesus is one of those things! I KNOW (without a doubt) it happened! I KNOW (without a doubt) it is true! I BELIEVE God! If we believe one thing in the Bible, we must believe it all, cover to cover!

WHY is the virgin Birth so important to the Christian faith?

Jesus, God’s Son, had to be without sin. The sinful nature of mankind is passed on to ALL other human beings by Adam. Because Jesus was born of a woman, He was a Human Being! But . . . as the Son of God, JESUS WAS GOD, and He was born without ANY trace (whatsoever) of human sin. Jesus is BOTH fully Human AND fully God! I cannot explain this, but I firmly believe it!

BECAUSE JESUS IS A MAN, and lived as a Man, He fully understand everything that happens to us. Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. (KJV) Our High Priest understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same temptations we do, yet he did not sin.

BECAUSE JESUS IS GOD, He has the power and authority to deliver us from the devil and from sin and its curse and penalty. Col. 2:13-14 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; [14] Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; (KJV) Before we become God’s child, we are spiritually dead because of our sins, and because our sinful nature was not yet cut away. When we accept Jesus, God made us alive with Christ, and forgave all our sins. He canceled our sin record that contained the charges against us. He took it and destroyed it by nailing it to Christ's cross.

We can tell Jesus everything: our thoughts, feelings, needs. He has experienced what we experience; He has the ability to help us, and He is willing and able to do so. And better still . . . He can grant to us the greatest GIFT there ever was or ever will be . . . ETERNAL LIFE!

The world’s ‘Christmas’ is a time of wild parties, decorations and buying gifts for people, and most often, going deep in debt to do so. God’s celebration of His Son is a time for giving the GIFT of Christ and eternal life, and that celebration is 365 days a year! Have you accepted Jesus into your heart and life? God so graciously offers you this unspeakable Gift (2 Cor.9:14), but it is not yours unless you accept it. Unspeakable Gift = indescribable, can’t be put into words!

May you be blessed with the TRUE Spirit of Christ all through the year. May God give you abundant peace and joy and contentment through His precious Son, Jesus now and for ever!
