June 1996 Monthly Message
I became a Christian late in life, back in the 70’s. I kept fighting the “feeling” I had deep inside, kept going my own way. Even as a child, I knew God was near. I didn’t know it THEN, but as I look back, I can see it all so plain NOW. He had chosen me to be His child (Eph.1:4-6). How wonderful that is! Was it something I had done? Was I that good? NO WAY! (Rom.9:9-15). We cannot know why God does what He does. He does NOT think as we do (Isa.55:8-9). He does what He does, for a reason. He chooses whom He chooses, for a reason.
If you know Jesus as your Saviour and Lord, YOU are chosen by God. If not, you may feel a tugging at your heart. This may well be God’s Holy Spirit striving with you, trying to get you to SEE Jesus! You too, may be one of God’s chosen. Turn to Christ today!
God was very patient with me, and I finally did submit to Him. When I accepted Jesus as my Saviour and Lord, things started to change. I no longer wanted to do some of the things I had been doing (evil, wrong, SIN). Now, I wanted to do things to please God. Did I still sin? Most certainly! We all do, every day (Rom.3:23), but now I could go to Him and be forgiven (1 John 1:8-9). It is wonderful to have that burden removed!
At that time, we were going to a small church in Cane Hill, Arkansas. Our Sunday School teacher had taught for over 65 years. It was through his efforts that both my husband and myself were saved. One Sunday, he asked if someone would teach the class the next Sunday. He wanted to go to visit a relative, but would not go unless someone would teach the class. NO ONE offered . . . least of all me, a brand new baby in Christ!
Then my wonderful husband stood up and said that he could not do it, but he was sure that I could. At that moment, I did NOT think he was all that wonderful! That was the beginning of my ‘teaching.’ Leading a class of elderly people who had been weaned on the Bible, and me from a heathen family.
I know now that God gave me the ‘gift’ of teaching His Word, although I couldn’t see it back then (Rom.12:3-8). Now I know that when God gives a person a job, He equips that person to do it! There is NO way I could have managed this on my own. He helped me (Phil.4:13). I have been His servant, ever since, and proud to be so!
A CHILD OF THE KING
Oh, what a joy, I’m a child of the King,
It makes me so happy, I want to sing.
I’m so very wealthy, beyond compare,
An heir of salvation; with Christ I’ll share.
Heav’n awaits, with my loving Saviour there,
When I arrive, life on Earth will seem bare.
My home in Heav’n is reserved for me,
Jesus, my Saviour, has indeed set me free.
A child of the King, without any doubt,
It makes me so happy, I want to shout.
My eternal home is my Father’s Home,
I’ll be with Him for e’er, ne’er more to roam.
A child of the King, what a wondrous joy,
Not ev’n Satan, my happiness can destroy.
Only my Saviour can give this confidence,
Heav’n is my destiny; there’s no suspense!

FAITH CAN’T BE UNANSWERED
Faith can’t be unanswered by God,
No matter where, here or abroad.
Your faith pleases the Almighty One,
Eternal life thru’ faith has begun.
Faith won’t be unanswered by Him,
No matter when, morn or night so dim.
Your faith is precious to our Lord,
It’s simply taking God at His Word.
Faith is believing what God does say,
It’s trusting completely, night or day.
God won’t turn His back ever on you,
He will answer your faith so true.
Faith is not having one single doubt,
It’s knowing He will show the right route.
With His children’s faith, God is pleased,
Just go to Him, He’ll always appease.
Faith is always answered by Him,
Even tho’ to you things look dim.
God won’t ever turn His back on faith,
Not even when you take your last breath.
When we have faith, we have hope beside,
For the love of God in us does abide.
Hope of eternal life that He gives,
Thru’ answered faith, yet while we live.

(Jn.6:28-29; Ro.5:1; Gal.3:6,24; Phil.3:9; Heb.10:38; 11:6; 1 Jn.3:23)
All believers have access to God. You have as much right to the Throne of Grace as I have, and I have as much right as you or any of His children. This tremendous privilege comes the moment you trust Christ to save you. It comes by faith (Eph.2:8-9; John 3:15).
We are justified (declared NOT guilty in the courts of Heaven), by faith (Rom.5:1), and we then live by faith (Heb.10:38). It is utterly impossible to please God without faith (Heb.11:6). Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness (Gal.3:6; Gen.15:6).
God will justify us by one way only; faith in Christ Jesus (Gal.3:24; Acts 13:39; 1 Cor.6:11; Rom.3:24). If you have not trusted Jesus to save your soul from Hell (John 3:18,36), please do so NOW (2 Cor.6:2). He is outside your heart’s door; open to Him, If you know Jesus as your Saviour and Lord, thank Him NOW, and every day that you live!

MY WONDERFUL SAVIOUR
Jesus is my sunshine, glorious and bright,
He’s always there, no matter how dark the night.
He will always be there, so close by my side,
If only in Him, my Lord, I will abide.
When my feet want to slip, or when I should fear,
He’s willing to help, and my life to steer.
Without my Saviour, it’s always dark night,
But when I call on Him, it’s brilliant light.
He’ll never forsake me, He’ll always be true,
My wonderful Saviour, there to help you too.
Do you have a burden, you carry anew?
He’s patiently waiting, to bear it for you.
When I get weak, with no strength of my own,
He will never let me to stand all alone.
Always there to give power in my plight,
I’m never so far that I’m out of His sight.
What great comfort, what joy, mercy, and such peace,
And endless love for me, that will only increase.
These come in the form of my Saviour, my God,
And He’s willing to share these blessings abroad.

Have you ever considered just how wonderful our Saviour is? He amazes and astounds me more with each passing day. What He has done for us (whosoever John 3:15-16) is simply unbelievable. He left the glory of Heaven to die on the cross, for us. He redeemed our souls from Hell, justifying us completely (Rom.5:1,9). God’s wrath is removed from us because of Jesus, our Saviour and Lord. I don’t know about you, but I want NO part of Almighty God’s wrath (John3:18,36; Rom.1:18; 2:8);
What Christ did for us, He did out of LOVE, love so deep, so pure, so true, that we cannot possibly understand (Eph.3:19; Phil.4:7). It absolutely passes ALL our understanding!
This love and concern our wonderful Lord shows to us each and every day is a blessing that all the money in the world could not buy! But, think about it: all the important things in life are free! You cannot but love, happiness, good health, true friends, a good marriage. etc. NONE of these things can be bought! And what about eternal life? This is simply the greatest thing in a person’s life . . . to KNOW when we leave this Earth, we will spend eternity with our wonderful Saviour. This too, is FREE! it is a GIFT! (Eph.2:8-9; Rom.6:23). Heaven can be obtained only through Jesus, NO other way (John 14:6; 3:15-16; 5:24). If you know our wonderful Saviour, thank Him, praise Him for who He is and what He’s done for you. If you don’t know Jesus, turn to Him NOW! Only He can save your soul from eternal Hell-fire!

HIS ‘FEET’
We are His ‘feet’ in this world today,
That’s is why we must trust and obey.
We must take the Gospel to His lost sheep,
Lest the devil, with false doctrine creep.
We must travel the road, where He would go,
And love and compassion, we must show.
We are His ‘feet’ as we walk this Earth,
Imitate Jesus, or we’re not much worth.
Jesus sits at God’s right hand this day,
We must be His ‘feet’ and go the right way.
We must do the job, by others begun,
We must be His ‘feet’, or it won’t get done!
As we travel this Earth, life is fleet,
We must love and trust Him, and be His ‘feet’.
Do only what our Saviour would do,
‘Tis a hard life for me; how about you?

(1 Co.3:9; 15:58; 2 Co.6:1; 2 Tim.4:5; Mk.16:20; 10:43-44; Jn.13:14; 21:16)
If we call ourselves “Christians,” we must take on the Name of CHRIST, in more ways than one. If we are to be worthy, we must love Him, and our brethren. We must trust Him completely, and we must serve Him. We have a job to do, and if we don’t do it, it will not get done. We must tell others of our Saviour, Tell of what He’s done for you, tell of just how much He means to you, tell of what He can do for that person. Spreading the Gospel is NOT just for preachers and teachers . . . it is for EVERY person who calls themselves Christians. We are indeed “His Feet.” We are also His Hands and His Mouth! We are to live our life doing what He would want us to do doing as He would do, feeding His sheep, and bringing the Gospel to His lost ones. We must have more concern over the lost, remembering that we too were once lost, and that is it were not for one of Christ’s faithful servants, we would still be lost, doomed to the pits of Hell.
Is there a literal Hell? Or does everyone go to Heaven? My friend, there is an actual, literal HELL! (Mat.25:41). I think that Jesus taught more on Hell than He did any other subject. WHY? Because He does NOT want anyone to go there. ALL wicked (unbelievers) turned into Hell (John 16:9; Ps.9:17; Mat.13:41,49). Everlasting fire (Mat.18:8; 25:41; Jude 7). Everlasting punishment (Mat.25:46). Weeping and gnashing of teeth (Mat.8:12; 13:42,50; 22:13; 24:51). Darkness (Mat.8:12; 22:13; 25:30). Torment, agony (Luke 16:22-26; Rev.14:11).
The doctrine of everyone going to Heaven is FALSE! It is the devil’s doctrine (Eph.4:14; 2 Pet.2:1-2; Mat.10:33; 15:9). This is WHY we must tell others of Jesus, for only He can save our soul from Hell (John 3:15-18,36; 5:24; 8:24; 14:6; Acts 4:12). It is our JOB! It is our DUTY to bring Hiw Word to the lost (Rom.10:13-17). It is our duty to tell of our plight before Jesus, and our blessing afterwards, ONLY Jesus can give eternal life. We must be His Feet and tell others! May God richly bless your efforts for Christ.
Ephes. 6:24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. (KJV)

PRAYER
The less I pray, the harder things get,
Trials and troubles, always beset.
The more I pray, the better things are,
I need wisdom that comes from afar.
His best answers come at His own pace,
We must be patient, and wait for His grace.
He alone knows what for us is best,
Sometimes He’ll say “No” to our request.
Delayed answers are trials of faith,
Honor Him, with your every breath.
Confidence in Him should be steadfast,
Our faith should be strong, one that will last.
To be humble means we can’t go alone,
We need His help, lest we stumble and groan.
Your faith is renewed when you pray,
So go to Him oft’ thru’ ev’ry day.
Much words without heart; this God does hate,
Few words from the heart; will ne’er frustrate.
When you pray, you grasp God’s willingness,
Prayer from the heart; He’ll always bless!
God makes many promises; all so great,
All null and void, ‘less we grab them in faith.
They can come to life for me and you,
By trust, faith and prayer; always true.

(Ps.27:14; 65:2; 91:15; Jer.33’3; Is.58:9; 65:24 Ro.8:26-28; Rev.5:8; 8:3-4; Mt.6:33; 7:7; 26:41; Lu.18:1; 21:36; Ep6:18; 1 Thes.5:17; 1 Tim.2:8; Jam.1:5-6; 4:2-3; 5:13;
Jn.15:7; Mk.11:24; 1 JN.3:22; 2 Chron.7:14)
How often do you pray? The Bible tells us that we should “pray without ceasing” (1 Thes.5:17), or be in an attitude of prayer always. It means that we should be ready to go to Him in prayer at any time, any place. Too often we are too busy, rushing to and fro, and not taking that precious moment to go and ask for His help. What happens? That tiny problem turns into a full-blown disaster, because we didn’t take time to pray. God loves us. He’s concerned with all our problems, not just the big ones. Don’t think you can handle it alone . . . you can’t (John 15:5). But, with Him, you can do ALL things (Phil.4:13).
God hates pride. In effect, you are saying: “I don’t need You. I can do this by myself.” But, when you humble yourself and go to Him, you are admitting that you are nothing without Him. He will not turn a deaf ear to His children. He will hear, and He will answer! Sometimes the answer won’t be what you want to hear, but He knows what is best for us. He will answer either: Yes, no, or wait a while.
Prayer is also a time to praise the Lord, for WHO He is, and for what He has done for you. Be thankful for all He’s done for you. When you look back, you will see that you have a multitude of blessings He’s bestowed upon you. Please do thank Him, and praise His Holy name. Don’t be like the nine lepers who did not even take time to thank Jesus Luke 17:12-19).
Ephes. 6:24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. (KJV)

PRAISING GOD
Praising God creates humility,
Removes sinful pride, which is faulty.
My conceited ego flies away,
Giving room for meekness; a better way!
Praising God releases joy untold,
Joy that’s there always, to have and hold.
Joy unspeakable, and full of glory,
Now and for e’er, for eternity.
Praising God clears clutter from my mind,
Tensions are gone; worries are behind.
Calm and comfort, are freely given,
By our wondrous God high in Heaven.
Praising God casts out sin’s misery,
For when I repent, He forgives me.
When we confess our sins, one by one,
We’re cleansed by the Blood of God’s Son.
Praising God makes me want just His will,
I want to please Him, and good instill.
When His Spirit fills me to the brim,
The things of the world, grow very dim.
Praising God is an honor to me,
For He has given me victory.
Eternal life in Heaven above,
Thanks be to our Saviour’s precious love.

(Pro.22:4; 29:23; Is.57:15; Mt.18:4; Jam.4:10; 2 Co.1:3; 6:10; 1 P.1:8; Mt.6:10; Ep.5:18-20; Ro.8:9; 14:17; Jn.3:15-18; 17:13; 1 Jn.1:7-10; 4:13)
Pride is an “abomination” to Almighty God (Pro.6:17; 16:5), so we need to get rid of it if we want to please Him. We as God’s children are nothing without Him. When we cast off pride and go to Him, we are showing our need for Him. This pleases Him. God wants from us “meekness,” as well as ALL the other fruits of the Spirit. Jesus was meek, so we must pray that we may be meek as well.
Joy comes from loving the Lord Jesus Christ. This too is a fruit of the Spirit (Gal.5:22-23). You CANNOT produce it. It has to come from God. When you love Jesus, you will rejoice! Just think about all the sin you had in your life before Jesus. Loving and trusting Him removed it ALL. One great reason to rejoice! And what about eternal life, in Heaven, with Him? This too can come ONLY from God! There are SO many things to praise Him for, to love Him for! It should make you want to please Him, and make you want His will to be done in your life. Some people are afraid to ask that His will be done in their life. If you are His child, He wants only the best for you. Why should you fear? (Mat.7:9-11).
As you go to the Lord in prayer, please remember to praise Him and His Holy Name, and for all He has done for you. The more you praise Him, the more you will be blessed.
Ephes. 6:24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. (KJV)

The Birth of Jesus
When Jesus came, all those many years ago,
Born of a virgin, as the prophets did show,
In a humble manger, used as a bed,
‘Twas no room at the inn, so a barn instead.
Just what does His Birth mean, to you and me?
He came down from Heaven. to set us all free.
It only began, with His marvelous Birth,
He died on the cross, for us, here on Earth.
When we think of His Birth, it gives great joy,
He came as our Victor, and sin to destroy.
He brings gladness and happiness, to our hearts,
Just knowing He’s near, and will never depart.
The world can never have, the peace that He brings,
This feeling deep down, makes us happy we live.
We need not be troubled, nor have any fear,
For He came to Earth, to always be near.
His Birth also gives us, that eternal hope,
Power to keep going, when Satan does grope.
He brings salvation, to all who will believe,
Eternity in Heaven, we will achieve.
Do you have room for Jesus? or shut Him out?
Do you want to go to Heaven? He’s the only Route.
He was born in that manger, to save our soul,
Just turn to Jesus, and Heav’n shall be your goal.

(Isa.7:14; 53:12; Mat.1:18; 27:38; Luke 2:12,16; John 6:38-39; 14:27; 16:33; Heb.13:5; John 3:15-16; 14:2-3)
How do you ‘celebrate’ Christmas? Do you go along with the world, with all the gala, glitter, presents, wild parties, etc.? Most of the world leave out Christ, and go along with so-called ‘traditions.’ I’m sure that Jesus has no objections to gatherings of which He is the Honored Guest, but what I refer to here are the drunken orgies in which people (even people who hate Jesus), ‘celebrate’ Christmas by getting drunk or high on drugs.
We as Christians are to put Christ FIRST, today AND everyday! If we are to be worthy of Him, we are to deny ourselves, and follow Him. Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (KJV)
If we don’t put Christ in FIRST place, ALWAYS, over ALL things and ALL people, we are NOT worthy of Him. Matthew 10:37-38 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. [38] And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. (KJV)
Christmas is honoring our Saviour and Lord, Jesus the Christ. It is remembering WHO He is, and WHY He came. During this time that symbolizes His First Coming, we should reflect on all that He has done for us, and His unspeakable love, which no person can begin to comprehend. We, like the apostle Paul, should “count all things but loss” except our blessed Lord Jesus (Phip.3:8).
Comment: my husband and I do not celebrate “Christmas” any more. To us, if we did, it would be a sin, because in our hearts we feel it is wrong. (James 4:17). We must do what we think is right, and that is to “come out from among them and be ye separate” (2 Cor.6:17). No! We are NOT Jehovah’s Witnesses, nor are we Jews. See our article on “Christmas” which further explains why we take this lonely position.
