POEMS . . . F

FACING REALITY

Each person must face reality,
Just where will you, spend eternity?
This life God gives, is where we decide,
Where in eternity, we’ll abide.

A free will is something, God does give,
When He created us, this life to live.
A blessing or curse, it can be for you,
It depends on how, God’s Word you view.

God made you, that with Him you could abide,
But you must trust Him, and let Him guide.
What you must do, He clearly tells,
Disobedience, will lead you to Hell.

God shows us two roads; you must decide,
Heaven or Hell, where will you abide?
The broad road goes to Hell, the small one Heav’n,
The choice to you, God has freely giv’n.

When you accept Christ, God smiles on you,
And you’re on that small road, chosen by few.
Rejecting God’s Son, you call Him a “Liar,”
You’re choosing the broad road that leads to Hell’s fire.

So many decisions, there are in life,
And all wrong choices lead to great strife.
The most important decision for you,
Believe God? Yes or no? What will you do?

FAITH

Without faith, you simply can’t please God,
No matter where on this Earth you trod.
Faith is to simply trust and believe,
All God says; just let your heart receive.

Abraham believed God, long ago,
God counted him righteous, for doing so.
Times have changed; but God never will,
We must believe also, this day still.

Faith is vict’ry that o’er comes the world,
No matter how many darts are hurled.
Satan will try us; day in, day out,
Just faith can give us the vict’ry shout.

We’re saved by our faith, thru’ God’s grace,
Without faith, we’ll never see God’s Face!
Believe the Lord God, and you’ll see Heav’n,
You’re saved thru’ Christ; the only way giv’n.

He that cometh to God, must believe,
‘Tis the only way, Heav’n to achieve.
God demands faith; not v’ry much to ask,
He makes it easy, in Heav’n, to bask.

FAITH AND OBEDIENCE

Faith and obedience are tied in one,
Faith is the start, where it has all begun.
Obedience is close, ne’er out of sight,
We must trust AND obey, to win the fight!M

Those without faith will never see Heaven,
Only with faith, is eternal life giv’n.
But once you trust Jesus to save your soul,
You must OBEY Him, or you are not whole.

If we trust Him, we obey; out of love,
We want to work and serve, our God above.
Faith without works is dead, being alone,
By our works, faith is proven; faith is shown!

FAITH CAN’T BE UNANSWERED . . . July 1996 Message

Faith can’t be unanswered by God,
No matter where, here or abroad.
Your faith pleases the Almighty One,
Eternal life thru’ faith has begun.

Faith won’t be unanswered by Him,
No matter when, morn or night so dim.
Your faith is precious to our Lord,
It’s simply taking God at His Word.

Faith is believing what God does say,
It’s trusting completely, night or day.
God won’t turn His back ever on you,
He will answer your faith so true.

Faith is not having one single doubt,
It’s knowing He will show the right route.
With His children’s faith, God is pleased,
Just go to Him, He’ll always appease.

Faith is always answered by Him,
Even tho’ to you things look dim.
God won’t ever turn His back on faith,
Not even when you take your last breath.

When we have faith, we have hope beside,
For the love of God in us does abide.
Hope of eternal life that He gives,
Thru’ answered faith, yet while we live.

Faith is the Channel

Faith is the channel, that we all need,
A channel, that is awesome indeed.
This channel brings you, to God, so near,
As His many blessings, do appear.

Faith is the channel, that brings God’s grace,
Just faith can bring a smile, to God’s Face.
Work of no kind, can salvation bring,
From faith alone, does salvation spring.

The channel of faith does justify,
For on God’s mercy, you can rely.
Just by faith, can you access God’s Throne,
We should rejoice, in God’s glory alone.

The channel of faith, God’s peace does bring,
From His loving grace, forgiveness does spring.
You are no longer, God’s enemy,
Faith in Christ, gives great victory.

You’re “born again”, by Jesus’ powe’r,
Receive Christ by faith, at any hour.
Faith’s channel brings sanctification,
Set apart for God, means He’ll ne’er shun.

Faith also does channel, righteousness,
For your “filthy rags”, God would ne’er bless.
Christ’s righteousness, God transfers to you,
The moment, to Christ, you say “I do.”

The channel of faith, makes you God’s heir,
The burden of God’s wrath, you’ll ne’er bear!
The golden road in Heav’n, does await,
You’ll ne’er see the mis’ry, beyond Hell’s gate.

Faith brings to you, life eternally,
A wondrous gift from God, giv’n so free!
Faith alone gives you a mansion on high,
If the Lord Jesus, you don’t deny.

FAITH, THE

Faith comes in many diff’rent forms and ways,
As we live our lives, our faith is display’d.
A baby in Christ, with faith all so new,
Satan will try to get you to change your view.

There are some believers whose faith is weak,
Strength from Christ Jesus, is what they should seek.
“Increase our faith,” the disciples did ask,
As in His love, they serenely did bask.

Those who are mature, their faith they do keep,
As strength and wisdom, from the Lord they do reap.
They finish the course, they fight a good fight,
Their faith keeps them walking, in Jesus’ light.

Then there are those, who from the faith go wrong,
They listen to Satan, he is so strong.
They err, backsliding from God’s Holy Word,
Leaving their “first love,” Christ whom they ador’d.

Then some believers, from faith do depart,
They forsake the Truth, from which they did start.
To seducing spirits, they now pay heed,
The doctrines of devils, they allow to lead.

Sad but true, some the faith they do deny,
No longer on Christ Jesus, do they rely.
They provide not, for their own family,
These shall be condemned, for eternity.

Concerning the Truth, some people do err,
Overthrowing the faith, please do not dare.
Our beliefs, with God’s Word, should always agree,
Or the shores of Heaven, we’ll never see.

Faithfulness of the Lord

The Lord is gracious, and longsuff’ring,
Abundant in goodness, is our King!
What e’er He has stated, He will do,
He will never lie, to me and you!

The Lord is faithful, in love steadfast,
His lovingkindness, is wholly vast!
Those who love Him, and His law obey,
Shall one day see, Heav’n’s gorgeous array!

If we shall hearken, diligently,
The horrors of Hell, we shall never see!
  He is the Rock, His work is perfect;
But Him we must honor, and respect!

The Lord’s faithfulness, to the clouds spread,
When our iniquities, we do shed!
The Lord’s faithfulness, shall never fail,
And on His children, it shall prevail!

The Truth of the Lord, shall be our shield,
For just on this Truth, can we be healed!
His faithfulness is to all, far and wide,
For He made the Earth, where it abides!

Because the Lord’s compassions, fail not,
All so free, for they cannot be bought!
They’re new each morning, as God does bless,
O’ so great, is the Lord’s faithfulness!

The Lord guards, against the evil one.
Helping us that the devil, we shun.
For we walk by faith, and not by sight,
On the narrow road, in Jesus’ light!

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD THE FATHER, WHO IS IN HEAVEN!!!
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)  . . . If you want to go where the Father is, you must go through Jesus!
    Scriptures for above poem: Ex.34:6; Num. 23:19; Deut. 7:9; Deut.ch.28; Mat. 25:41, 46; Rev.20:15; Deut. 32:4; Ps.36:5; Ps. 89:8, 33; Ps.91:4; Ps. 119:90; Lam. 3:22-23; 1 Cor. 1:9; 1 Cor.10:13; 2 Thes. 3:3; Heb.10:23; 2 Cor. 5:7; Jn. 14:15; Mat.7:13-14.
Eph. 6:24  Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen. (KJV)

False Prophets

When will it be, high noon or midnight?
The clouds shall disclose Him, O’ what a sight!
Dusk or dawn, darkness or in mid day,
When will it be? The Bible doesn’t say!

So many fools, try to prophesy,
But on their predictions, you can’t rely.
No one knows, when Christ shall call His own,
Just the Father knows, He and He alone!

False teachers bring, many heresies,
Naive ones fall for them, totally!
Believing the lies, these preachers bring,
All this makes, the sly ol’ devil sing.

If you don’t read the Bible, you’re not wise,
And Satan will bring, many a surprise.
God gave the Bible, to teach us and guide,
And in it He tells, where we’ll reside!

The Bible has no code, we have to break,
Literally, God’s Word we must take.
He tells us everything, we NEED to know,
We can have blessings, that to us flow,

God knows it all, Him; we can’t out guess,
Thinking we’re wise, brings on great distress.
One day at a time, we must believe,
Trusting His Word, great peace we achieve!

Why do some think, they know it all?
On all false prophets, God’s wrath shall fall!
Open God’s Book, and read what is true,
If not, false prophets, will take hold of you!

FAR FROM PERFECT

I’m far from perfect Lord, this I know,
I do struggle, as You I follow.
I want to do right, but wrong I choose,
Tempted am I, and I get confused.

Instead of choosing good, I choose wrong,
My flesh is weak, I wish I were strong.
I’m far from perfect Lord, You I need,
It seems to Satan, I always pay heed.

It’s two steps forward, and one step back,
I can’t seem to keep, my mind on track.
You dear Lord, I want to imitate,
But falling far short, seems to be my fate.

Good things I want to do, I don’t do,
I can’t seem, to concentrate on You.
Temptations abound, where e’er I go,
I want to do right, but don’t do so.

To be perfect as You, this I seek,
But I fall short, for I am weak.
Help me Lord, You I don’t want to shame,
Help me to bring glory, to Your Name.

Lord, perfection is so far from me,
I so look forward to eternity,
For then I’ll have a body, just like You,
And it will be perfect and sinless too.

FAULTS

The faults in others’ lives that I see,
I hate to admit; there’s many in me.
Help me, that these faults, I recognize,
That I may live my life truly wise.

We’ve just one life; let’s learn to live right,
For best results, we must walk in His Light.
I must confess that weakness is mine,
Each time I resist, strength from the Vine.

We get discouraged spiritually,
When we treat our Saviour carelessly.
Faulty doubts and fears assail our soul,
Only Jesus can heal, and make us whole.

Our daily faults can bring us sorrow,
If the steps of Christ, we do not follow.
Spiritual treasures we should hold dear,
As we live our life, holding Christ near.

Fear of God

To fear God means, we in awe of Him stand,
To fear Him places us, in His firm Hand.
It is there He keeps us, and does protect,
Because we have love for Him, and respect.

To fear God means, we have great loyalty,
To the Creator, of eternity.
We must pay homage, to His mighty pow’r,
For He watches us closely, ev’ry hour.

To fear God means, His Son we adore,
And have faith He will take us, to Heav’n’s shore.
To fear God, is our great admiration,
For all He’s done, ‘tis appreciation.

To fear God, is our heart’s deepest respect,
For we know that He, will always protect.
Fear of God, is vast admiration of Him,
And approval of God, that never dims.

All who dishonor God, disdain and hate,
Condemnation to Hell, shall be their fate.
To ignore God, as if He were not there,
Means you haven’t got a chance with your prayer.

Those who disgrace God, in all that they do,
Shall face the Judge, when judgment does ensue.
Criticism, contempt and blasphemy,
Leads to the lake of fire, for eternity!

There are just a few, Christ Jesus does tell,
That have wisdom, to avoid horrid Hell.
Fear and reverence God, be wise this day,
And His blessings, shall come your way!

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD THE FATHER, WHO IS IN HEAVEN!!!
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV)
Only JESUS can save your soul! Please believe this!

FEAR OF THE LORD

Fools despise wisdom and instruction,
Their end will be eternal destruction.
Do you wish to find knowledge of God?
You must ‘fear the Lord’, the world abroad.

“Fear of the Lord, is to hate evil,”
Be righteous and just and do His will.
Pride, a froward mouth, and arrogancy,
These all will turn away God’s mercy!

The ‘fear of the Lord’ begins wisdom,
With awe, reverence; to Him we must come!
‘Fear of the Lord’ is humility,
For our pride makes us His enemy.

The Lord God is far from the wicked,
From all their prayer, He’s simply fled.
Even their thoughts are hated by Him,
But words of His children are ne’er dim!

Fools make a mock at sin, the world around,
But the righteous make a pleasant sound.
A fool’s lips are a snare for his soul,
A good man ‘fears’, for God’s in control!

FELLOWSHIP WITH JESUS . . . June 2010 Message

Do you drive the Lord Jesus away?
By things that you do, or words you say?
Do your repeated sins distance you,
From our precious Lord, so just and true?

Fellowship with Christ is a wondrous thing,
It tops the list of many blessings.
But sin, from our Friend, will separate,
Leaving you feeling sad and desolate.

An amazing Friend, who does endure,
One who is loyal, loving and pure.
We must keep our dear Friend e’er so near,
For He warms our heart, and removes fear.

We can dare be ourselves with this Friend,
We can bare our soul, and not pretend.
But we must come in humility,
And we must walk with Him, to be worthy.

When great trouble comes, our soul to try,
Christ is a loving Friend, who stands by.
He will never leave us, or forsake,
Even in the times we make mistakes.

This true Friend, willingly shares our days,
Fellowship should always start with praise.
He understands when we laugh or weep,
So many blessings from Him we reap.

Fellowship with Christ will never harm,
He lovingly alerts us of alarm.
We must walk with Him, and communicate,
And from worldly lusts, we must separate.

“FEW”

The more I think, of what Jesus said,
The more, for the lost ones, I feel great dread!
Just a “few” find the strait and narrow path,
Leading to Heav’n, away from God’s wrath!

Just a “few” will find, life eternally,
Most folk, from our precious Lord flee!
They blaspheme God, and His wondrous Son,
They can’t see; just thru’ Christ, is Heav’n won!

So very many, walk that road, big and wide,
They never do consider; in Christ to abide!
That wide road is easy, Satan makes it so,
Tempting one and all, to ‘go with the flow.’

Just a “few” lonely souls, walk the narrow trail,
Looking to Jesus, to comfort and avail.
This way may bring, trouble and distress,
But only o this road, will our God bless!

The more I think, of what Jesus told,
I know just a “few” will make it to God’s “fold!
Most are in a hurry, on their way to Hell,
Where they in agony, forever will dwell!

Few And Far Between

The few and far between . . . are you one?
Do you believe, in God's only Son?
Only Jesus, can make you God's child,
Without Him, you are unclean and defiled.

Do you qualify, as one of the few?
Has the Holy Ghost, made you anew?
Belief in Christ, is the only way,
To get a pass, into Heav'n one day!

One of the few, do you stand firm and bold?
Are you one of the sheep, in His fold?
When the Great Shepherd speaks, do you hear?
Are you far away, or are you near?

Far between, are the children of God,
Most refuse, that narrow road to trod.
Children of God, great blessings receive,
But they must start, God's Word to believe.

Jesus is, the One and Only Way,
To get you to, your mansion one day.
At the Rapture, will He call your name?
The few that He calls, shall have no shame.

The few and far between , are you one?
Have you believed God, and trusted His Son?
Jesus can save you, from fiery Hell,
And grant Heav'n instead, where you shall dwell.

FILLED

When Christ came into my heart; something chang’d,
Ev’ry detail of my life, was re-arrang’d.
Before, there was turmoil, hatred and sadness,
Now, there’s serenity, love and gladness!

I am fill’d with the promis’d Holy Ghost,
Fill’d with love and pow’r, to the uttermost.
He takes away strife, and troubles that grieve,
And yet one more promise: He’ll never leave!

Our God of Hope, has fill’d me with great joy,
A wondrous feeling, I truly enjoy.
This happens only thru’ the Holy Ghost,
His pow’r is there for us, at no cost!

My soul is fill’d with remarkable peace,
And because of Christ, it will never cease.
Because of my faith; God show’d me His grace,
One day soon, I’ll certainly see His Face!

I’ll be fill’d with His sweet peace forever,
No one --- anywhere, this peace can sever.
I can go on, and bear life’s discord and care,
For I know Christ’s Presence is always there!

I thank You for this gift, gladly knowing,
That You will fill me, to overflowing,
With peace, joy, contentment and love,
‘Til that precious day when You call me above!

FIRMLY I’LL STAND

Firmly I’ll stand by my Saviour’s side,
Loving, serving, and with Him abide.
But only thru’ His amazing pow’r,
For without Him near, I’d fear and cow’r.

By His pierced side, I’ll firmly stand,
Gathering strength from His nail scarr’d Hand.
For when I feel weak, and want to quit,
He’s always there to bolster my spirit.

Firmly I’ll stand by Him, all the way,
Thru’ the darkest night or brightest day.
Tho’ my road at times gets rough and steep,
By His awesome pow’r, He does keep.

Firmly I’ll stand on His promises,
For His love, peace and joy I possess.
And one day soon I’ll live with Him in Heav’n,
For He cannot lie; His Word He’s giv’n.

I can stand firmly, only by His grace,
On my own, I’d never see His Face.
Praise be to Jesus, precious and true,
Just He can grant Heav’n, to me and you.

Fleeting and Vain Things . . . June 2004 Message

Now here, then gone, like dew on the grass,
Like earthly treasure, all will one day pass.
Like fog in the night, all gone by noon,
Consider vain things, all gone soon.

As clouds in the heavens, disappear,
We should ponder, our death might be near.
Like a wondrous rainbow, after a rain,
The beauty of it, is such a short gain.

As an icicle, on a frigid night,
With the sun’s heat, will drip out of sight.
As steam from a teapot, dissipates,
Think of eternity, ‘fore it’s too late.

As a vapor, our life is so brief,
Does the thought of Heav’n, give you relief?
Or do you tremble, at the thought of Hell?
The place where Christ says, many shall dwell.

So many things are here now, then gone,
In life we must not be, Satan’s pawn.
We should not lust after worldly things,
If we desire God’s awesome blessings.

So many things in life bring no gain,
So many things are useless and vain.
Worldly riches, and lust for pleasure,
Will never be your heav’n’ly treasure.

As you live life, think of what’s been said,
Many things in life, can bring lasting dread.
Many things are now here, then go away,
Build your life on things, that are here to stay.

Foolishness in their deeds, and words they say.

All major wars start out with foolishness,
Egged on by pride and hatred, ne’er kindness.
Many lives have been taken; millions maim’d,
Just because proud fools, want not to be shamed.

The ravages of war, plunder the land,
Because of those proud fools strong, evil hand.
Many die from famines and pestilence,
All this crazy foolishness, makes no sense.

Wars, famines and disease; all these shall cease,
No more ravaged lands; for all shall live in peace.
All foolishness shall end; I look to this day,
When Christ’s mighty Hand, wisdom shall display.

Pride and greed, and lusting for pow’r and fame,
All these shall end, as we call on Jesus’ Name.
When Christ returns, we shall have peace on Earth,
Foolishness will flee, as we assess His worth!

FOOLS AND WISE MEN

A fool works evil, time and again,
Doing profane acts, much to their chagrin.
But a wise man, just right things he seeks,
Thus his integrity, he does keep.

It seems that pride, is all that fools know,
Greed and envy, from these people flow.
But a wise man, reveals humility,
He’s content with life, and what is to be.

Fools walk dark paths, seeking wickedness,
They strive only, for worldly success.
But a wise man, walks in paths of light,
Storing treasures in Heav’n, in God’s sight.

A fool will reject Jesus as Lord,
Choosing instead, what Satan has in store.
But a wise man, opens their heart’s door wide,
Gladly inviting, Jesus inside!

Fools steadily swarm, to Hell’s broad path,
They persist to summon, God’s holy wrath.
But a wise man, stays on that narrow road,
That will one day lead, to Heaven’s abode.

A fool will suffer, for eternity,
For they refused God’s salvation, so free.
But a wise man, will walk that street of gold,
And eternally, peace and bliss behold.

All were once fools, ‘til they were “born again”,
‘Til Christ Jesus made them, God’s children.
If you don’t know Christ, turn to Him today,
You will be a wise man, on Heav’n’s way.

FOOTSTEPS of JESUS . . . Sept.2005 Message

The footsteps of Jesus, we should follow,
Tho’ they may lead us thru’ pain or sorrow.
To please God, we must imitate our Lord,
We must follow Him, in wiling accord.

We must have perfect trust in God, by faith,
Imitate Jesus, with our ev’ry breath.
Follow the footsteps of Jesus,ev’ry hour,
And He will bless us, with His mighty pow’r.

Hatred and malice, we must put away,
Think only good, righteous thoughts, ev’ry day.
Following Jesus, may not be easy,
But our end will be, life eternally.

Following His footsteps, will teach us love,
And it will lead, to Heaven above.
Jesus loved us with love, great and true,
We must imitate Jesus, me and you.

Following His footsteps, will make us meek,
The humility of Christ, we must seek.
Tho’ He was God, He was Servant of all,
If we humble ourselves, one day we’ll stand tall.

Following His footsteps, means we must obey,
His commands are clear, like a sunny day.
Love God with our all, and each other too,
And tell the Good News, that saved you.

In following His footsteps, pray’r is a must,
In time alone with Him, we learn to trust.
Imitate Jesus, for pray’r gives great pow’r,
Co, talk to God, ev’n in your darkest hour.

Footsteps of Jesus

Footsteps of Jesus, in my heart are clear,
Walking so close to me, I have no fear.
No matter what I need, or what I do,
The Lord Jesus, has always come thru’.

Footsteps of Jesus, won’t lead you astray,
For Jesus always, travels the right way.
He will keep you, away from God’s wrath,
And he will keep you, on the narrow path.

Footsteps of Jesus, move the right way,
But only dear one, if we will obey.
Stay on God’s good side, He does love you so,
Stay close to Jesus, where ever you go.

Footsteps of Jesus, in the day or night,
Will never lead us wrong, but always right.
We won’t be shipwrecked, on a stormy sea,
For He’s a Grand Beacon, to you and me.

Footsteps of Jesus, are always on guard,
There to warn us, of deception and fraud.
Jesus is our Watchman, high on the wall,
When He sees danger, we will hear His call.

Without Jesus, you won’t like forever,
We can’t let Satan, from His love sever.
Footsteps of Jesus, we must hear nearby,
And we must never, Jesus’ Name deny.

FOR ME! . . . Apr.2007 Message

Under a dark, looming Eastern sky,
A humble Man, stumbled forth to die.
In the midst of a crowd, shouting with glee,
This Man went forth, to die for me!

A crown of thorns pierced His precious Head,
His Blood reveal’d ev’ry step He tread.
He bore that cross in pure agony,
As this Man went forth, to die for me!

They drove nails into His Hands and Feet,
After many hours that they scourged and beat.
Naked He hung in complete humility,
This Man consented to die for me!

On that awful cross, my sins He did bear,
A burden He asked no one to share!
All this He did out of love so free,
This awesome Man --- He died for me!

Because of this Man; great blessings are mine,
Peace, joy, comfort, grace, and strength divine!
But, best of all, life eternally,
For Christ Jesus gave His Life for me!

For me! For me! this awesome Man died!
For me! For me! He was crucified!
For me! His death was pure victory!
For it gives me Heaven eternally!

Forever lost, when you live in sin,
But Christ, for you, a new life begins!
Your sin, you must admit and repent,
Your forgiveness is why God’s Son was sent!

Forever lost; condemned to Hell!
Your unrighteousness, just Christ can quell!
Only Christ Jesus your soul can save,
And grant eternal life beyond the grave!

Are you without Christ and forever lost?
You don’t have to be; please count the cost!
If you turn to Jesus this v’ry day,
You’ll be forever saved, for alway!

FOREVER MINE . . . Dec.2010 Message

Forever mine, are blessings untold,
Blessings from God, worth more than pure gold.
Blessings are mine, because I believe,
And by faith, God’s Son I did receive.

Eternal life in Heaven above,
Is mine because of my Saviour’s love.
The burden of sin, remov’d from me,
My sins are forgiv’n, eternally.

Such awesome peace within me abides,
For God’s Holy Spirit does reside.
Forever mine, He’s always there,
Proof of God’s love; proof that He cares.

Forever mine, Jesus’ great Light,
Guiding me safely, thru’ dark lonely nights.
His Promise that He will always be near,
Makes my worry gone, I’ve nothing to fear.

Forever mine, is abundant joy,
From Christ to me, that no one can destroy.
Like a gentle river, thru’ me does flow,
Forever mine, for God does bestow.

The love of God is forever mine,
Such wondrous love that truly does shine.
Faith too is there, when doubt tries to creep,
From Satan’s wiles, He surely will keep.

Forever mine, His amazing grace,
Sufficient always, in time or place.
Forever mine are blessings untold,
Blessings that to me are worth more than gold.

FRIENDS ARE BLESSINGS

Friends are blessings from God above,
Which He gives to His children, n love.
Friends are something money can’t buy,
No matter your wealth, don’t ev’n try.

Friends are there when them you do need,
Others abandon, but friends take heed.
Friends really care what happens to you,
With love and compassion, always true.

Friends will share your hurts and sorrow,
Will cry with you, now and tomorrow.
Friends are there too, to share your joy,
Happy for you, and they’ll ne’er destroy.

Friends will ne’er turn their back on you,
Always to you, they will be true.
Friends are there to help in your need,
Sent by God in love, on wings of speed.

Friends will love, when others hate,
Such true love, you can’t duplicate.
Friends are blessings from God above,
Sent to warm us with their deep love!

From a Nobody to a Somebody . . . Dec.2011 Message

I was a nobody, until I believed,
By the grace of God, Christ Jesus I received.
Now I’m a somebody, head’d for Heav’n’s shore,
I’m a child of the King, who could ask for more?

Moses was a nobody, till he met the Lord,
Then he was a somebody, obeying God’s Word.
Tho’ he was not perfect, God prepar’d a way,
Moses led God’s people, each and ev’ry day.

Elijah was a nobody, without God’s pow’r,
But he was a somebody, in that great hour.
In a short pray’r, he called down fire from God on High,
Consum’d the sacrifice, and licked the water dry.

David was a nobody, a young shepherd lad,
Till he came up against Goliath, big and bad.
David became somebody, with faith so strong,
All somebodies, to God’s family belong.

I’m glad I’m a somebody, serving my Lord,
He chose me, equipp’d me, with His Spirit and Word.
From a nothing nobody, to belove’d child,
From God’s Home on High, I’ll ne’er be exiled.

Thank You Lord Jesus, my life’s greatest Treasure,
You give this somebody, such amazing pleasure.
You made this once nobody, into somebody,
Who shall with You in Heav’n, spend eternity.

From a Prison to a Promise

I was deep, in a prison of darkness,
Under Satan’s control, this I confess.
I was the devil’s child, ruled by him,
In his prison of sin, so vile and grim.

From this prison, to a Promise, could it be?
Can I really have, life eternally?
Is the glory of Heaven, really there?
Can I have that hope, do I truly dare?

From death to life, a Promise from the Lord,
Clearly revealed to us, in God’s Word.
Heaven is God’s Home, it does exist,
God’s Truth, we must not reject or resist.

His unfailing Promise, a Resting Place,
Where we shall for e’er, see His awesome Face.
He promises us, a mansion on High,
Where for e’er, our Lord, we can glorify.

A Promise of a City, of pure gold,
Our Shepherd shall lead us, to this grand Fold.
He’ll keep His Promise, life eternally,
Christ will open the gate, for you and me.

A Promise He’ll keep, if we just believe,
The Promise is yours, if Christ you receive.
Unbelief will condemn, your soul to Hell,
There in eternal suff’ring, you shall dwell.

FROM CALVARY . . . Mar.2005 Message

Such lonely cries He made, from Calvary,
Not ev’n one did aid, in His agony!
What He did suffer, is beyond compare,
Yet most don’t think of this; worse, they don’t care!

He suffered beatings beyond belief,
Not one other person, had that much grief.
He looked for comforters; yet He found none,
Didn’t they realize, this was God’s Son?

He was despised and rejected of men,
A Man of sorrows; the world did condemn.
Stricken, afflicted, and smitten of God,
His cries from Calvary, for the world abroad.

He carried our sorrows, and bore our griefs,
And not ev’n the Father, gave Him relief!
The Lord laid on Him, our iniquity,
An ultimate price, to set our soul free!

Full of heaviness; reproach broke His Heart,
Their insults and mocking, would not depart.
They then pierced both, His Feet and Hands,
They crucified Him! He died for all lands!

His sinless soul was an off’ring for sin,
Only thru’ CHRIST can salvation begin!
God’s Righteous Servant justifies many,
For He has borne all our iniquity!

From the Pit to the Palace . . . Oct.2011 Message

Joseph’s brothers looked on him with hate,
They would be his destiny to fate.
His many colored coat, from far away,
They saw coming closer, that v’ry day.

Joseph’s brothers dreamed up evil things,
Far from their wicked hearts, were blessings.
Into a deep pit, him they did throw,
Joseph looked up with tears, from below.

Slave traders came thru’ and bought the boy,
Sold him into Potiphar’s employ.
Joseph was good and honest and pure,
Serving willingly, he did endure.

It was soon, great temptation set in,
Potiphar’s wife, wanted him to sin.
When he refused, revenge she did seek,
Imprisoned, this godly man, so meek.

Dreams of the butler and the baker,
Interpreted thru’ Joseph, by His Maker.
Then the great Pharaoh had a dream too,
Joseph was called, interpreted it true.

Seven years of plenty, seven years of need,
Joseph’s wisdom, many people would feed.
Storing grain in the plentiful years,
In the famine, it would ward off fears.

From Pharaoh’s palace, Joseph did rule,
Second in command, nobody’s fool.
From the pit, into which Joseph was cast,
To a huge palace, with pow’r so vast.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT

Lord, how I thank you, as this morn I wake,
For all your blessings, for granted I take.
They’re all invisible, but all so real,
For each one I thank you, as I do kneel.

Love, joy and peace, can come only from you,
Without Christ in my heart, what would I do?
Patience, gentleness, and goodness in me,
By your Spirit, that never used to be!

Faith that started all these wonders my way,
As a tiny seed; did bring a new day.
Humility and self control; fruits so good,
Let all these o’er flow me, like a great flood.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT

Love is an attribute that, we need,
If to God’s Word, we must pay heed.
Joy is something, way deep down inside,
When we allow His Spirit to guide.

Peace is truly a tremendous thing,
You know you’re God’s friend, such a blessing.
Without Christ in your heart, peace will flee,
‘Tis so clear, you are God’s enemy.

Patience is something we should possess,
Our anger and temper, we should suppress.
As God’s children, we must always be kind,
Kindness should be deep-set in our mind.

Goodness is a trait, reaching out to aid,
Helping those who are lonely or afraid.
Faith is trusting God, with no doubt at all,
Knowing He’ll answer, ev’ry time you call.

Gentleness is such a wondrous trait,
Christ’s characteristic, e’er so great.
If we let the Spirit, work within,
He will assist, and keep us from sin.

Our lives and ourselves, we must control,
If we are to have a victorious soul.
The Spirit will help us, day by day,
Leading, guiding and showing the right way.

God gives His Holy Spirit to assist,
We must never quench Him, nor resist.
Precious fruits in us, He will produce,
Wondrous traits of Christ, He will induce.

FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT

Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (KJV)

The fruits of the Spirit, our awesome God describe,
These wondrous blessings, for us He does prescribe.
The fruits of the Spirit, are indeed a blessing,
Our awesome God gives to His children, such grand things!
LOVE
The love of God, is beyond comprehension,
Sending His Son, to save us, from perdition.
Since God loves us so, we must love others too,
For then one sweet day, we shall see Heaven’s view.
JOY
Joy is something, so much more than happiness,
In His presence is the fullness of joy, and gladness.
Although we see Him not, yet we still do believe,
And by believing, joy unspeakable, we receive.
PEACE
When we become God’s children, Jesus gives us peace,
From worry, strife and Satan’s snares, we have release.
Our heart is no longer troubled, and we have no fear,
For the Presence of our awesome Saviour, is near.
PATIENCE
If we hope for Heaven, then we patiently wait,
And one sweet day, we shall walk thru’ the pearly gate.
If we patiently endure, His Promise we will obtain,
Our inheritance in Heaven, one day we shall gain.
GENTLENESS
He gathers the lambs, carries them so tenderly,
Those in His flock, He leads and guides very gently.
God’s wisdom is full of mercy, gentle and pure,
And the pasture of His flock, is safe and secure.
GOODNESS
Great is His goodness, for all those who fear Him,
He lights the pathway, so it is never dim.
His goodness and mercy shall follow me, all my days,
And one day I shall see, Heaven’s glorious display.
FAITH
It is the will of God, that we have faith and believe,
We must believe what He says, and His Son receive.
Without faith, it is impossible to please God,
We must trust Him, as the narrow road we trod.
MEEKNESS, BEING HUMBLE
The meek shall live and be satisfied, ev’ry day,
The meek He will guide, and these will He teach His way.
These shall inherit the earth, and in peace delight,
For they humble themselves, before His great light.
TEMPERANCE, SELF CONTROL
Let us be swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath,
As we control our self, and stay on the narrow path.
Do not let sin reign within you, or its lusts obey,
Jesus is there to help you, each and ev’ry day.

The fruits of the Spirit, are in His Hands alone,
He produces them, and in us they are grown.
To quench the Holy Spirit, is wrong indeed,
Always allow Him to work, and to Him, pay heed!

Fruits of the Spirit

Lord let Your Spirit, increase love in me,
As I walk onward, to eternity.
Increase joy within me, with each new day,
As I walk with You, on the narrow way!

Thank You for the peace, that You did increase,
How I thank You, for the fruit of your peace!
When I submit to You, Satan will flee,
What an amazing feeling, within me!

Increase my patience Lord, which I do need,
Grant me stamina, that I will pay heed.
I must never, my patience ever lose,
Spiritual fruits, I should treasure and use!

Being gentle and good, are traits of God,
Don’t let Satan deceive you, with his fraud.
Being wild and wicked, is his way to go,
But that will just get you, to Hell below!

Increase my faith, some before have well said,
Living without faith, is a state of dread.
But faith in the Lord, gives such wondrous peace,
And from the devil, such great release!

Meekness, is a tremendous quality,
The Lord Jesus had, great humility.
We all should be wise, and consider this,
For pride and arrogance, lead you amiss!

Last, but surely not least, is self-control,
Flying off the handle, will take its toll.
Lord, let Your Spirit, have pow’r o’er my will,
And deep within me, temperance instill!

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD THE FATHER, WHO IS IN HEAVEN!!! John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)
Scriptures for this poem: (Gal.5:22-23; Lk.17:5; 2 Cor.9:10; Mat.11:28-30; Col.3:12-17; 1 Tim.6:11; Tit.3:2; Jam.3:13; 4:7; 1 Pet.3:15; Rom.5:1-2; 8:1, 16-17; Heb.10:23, 26-29; 11:6; Jn.3:15-18, 36;  5:24; Jn.6:40, 47; 8:24; 10:27-30; 15:1-5; 1 Jn.4:4; 5:10-13; Rev.20:15)

Fruits of the Spirit

The ‘fruits of the Spirit’, Christ had them all,
We too can have them, if on Him we call.
We must not quench, the Spirit within,
Faith in Jesus, is where we begin.

Christ showers me, with blessings untold,
Blessings worth more, than the finest gold!
His amazing LOVE, is just the first,
Without that love, my soul would surely thirst!

JOY is the next one, that comes to mind,
And for so many, ‘tis hard to find!
Just thru’ the Lord, can true PEACE be found,
When we trust Jesus, PEACE will abound!

PATIENCE is something, most of us lack,
But prayer for help, keeps us on track!
GENTLE as a lamb, was our dear Lord,
So we too, GENTLENESS can afford!

Where e’er Christ went, GOODNESS did surround,
GOODNESS in us, must always abound!
Jesus was known, for His FAITHFULNESS,
So, when we have FAITH, the Lord will bless!

Our Lord Jesus, was HUMBLE and MEEK,
So HUMILITY, is what we should seek!
Many of us, have no SELF-CONTROL,
And very often, it takes its toll!

Do you pray, to be like Christ this day?
Prayer for His ‘FRUITS’, is the only way!
Nothing but GOOD, e’er came from our Lord,
Let us do GOOD, as said in God’s Word!

Are you allowing the LORD to guide you to the bliss of Heaven? If not, WHY not? God loves you. Trust Him to help you! He will! Gal. 5:22-23  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (KJV) Eph. 5:9-11 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. (KJV)
