POEMS . . . C

CALLED AND CHOSEN

Those called and chosen are privileg’d indeed,
For to Your Spirit, they do heed.
These “few” truly accept Your Son,
But most reject Christ, and Him they shun.

These that You call, open their heart wide,
So that the Saviour may come inside.
You touch these “few” in a special way,
As they come in pray’r, all thru’ the day.

So, so special are these very “few,”
For these all willingly, obey You.
It gives them great joy, Your touch to feel,
For Your awesome Presence, their soul does heal.

Called and chosen, an amazing thing,
For You reach out to these with special blessings.
Tho’ ev’ry one You call is unworthy,
Accepting Christ removes iniquity.

Many in the past, have felt Your Hand,
And You’ve blessed their efforts thru’ out the land.
Those You called that did not turn away,
Willingly love You, trust You and obey.

So many invitations, You do send,
It’s so sad that most, You do offend.
But the “few” who accept are privileg’d indeed,
For Your awesome touch, they did heed.

So very privileg’d and special, am I,
For the Lord’s call, I did not deny.
On my own, I’d never be worthy,
But praise God, His Son gave me victory!

I’m privileg’d to be one of the “few,”
For Lord, I believe and follow You.
You have touched me in a special way,
And I’ll be grateful, all my days!

Calling You Father

Calling You Father, is a privilege indeed,
‘Tis amazing, that my prayers You heed.
I can’t comprehend Your infinite love,
That You bestow on me daily from above.

Calling You Father, makes me feel worthwhile,
For I belong to You, I am Your child.
I believe in Christ and His work on the cross,
With Him as my Saviour, I’ll ne’er be at loss.

I love You Father, from deep down inside,
I thank You for Your Spirit, who does abide.
With You as my Father, great blessings flow,
Father grant me each day, Your will to know.

Calling You Father, brings comfort to my soul,
For I trust You always, and give You control.
O heavenly Father, I know You are there,
You show great mercy and love, I know You care.

Most gracious Father, I feel Your Presence near,
Your Spirit assures me, I need never fear.
Calling You Father gives me great peace of mind,
You prove to me each day, You’re loving and kind.

When I call You Father, let me praise Your Name,
Let me ne’er bring to You displeasure or shame.
Let me always obey, and always love You,
Let me walk close to You and always be true.

CALVARY’S CROSS

On Calvary’s Cross; He died for me,
Took away my sins, and set me free.
His suffering can’t ever be told,
Pain, for me, to bring me to God’s fold.

He was mocked; they did spit on Him,
Plucked out His beard; what awful sin!
They gave Him a ‘crown’ of sharp thorns,
A purple robe, His body adorned.

His own people wanted Him to die,
He wasn’t “Messiah”, this they deny!
They hated Him without any cause,
On His way to die, there was applause.

On Calvary’s Cross, He bled and died,
An awful death; He was crucified.
Unmercifully, they Christ did beat,
They drove huge nails in His hands and feet.

We all need to go back to that ‘Cross’,
Without His precious Blood, we’re all lost!
He died there to pay sin’s penalty,
And remove God’s wrath, for eternity.

CALV’RY’S TREE . . . Apr.2004 Message

The flames of Hell will never touch me,
For Christ bore my sins, on Calv’ry’s Tree.
I’ll stand at the Judgment, so secure,
An unworthy sinner; but O’ so sure!

From shackles of Satan, I am free,
I have perfect rest and liberty.
At Calv’ry’s Tree, my chains broke and fell,
Now His awesome love within me does dwell.

His priceless, pure Blood; my ransom paid,
For on Jesus, all my sins were laid.
From sin’s horrid bondage, I am free,
For Christ died for me, on Calv’ry’s Tree!

Calv’ry’s Tree has truly sealed my peace,
The sorrows Christ bore, made mine to cease!
His loving pow’r made all my sin be gone,
I am no longer the devil’s pawn!

Because Jesus died on Calv’ry’s Tree,
I have eternal life, waiting for me!
One day I’ll walk on that street of gold,
For Christ in my heart, I firmly hold!

Can They Imagine?

Crippled by arthritis, many are,
From all walks of life, both near and far.
Can they imagine, how Heav’n will be,
Believers will walk without pain, eternally.

Some are born deaf, and some are born dumb,
These handicapped, from all countries come.
Can they imagine, one day they’ll hear and speak,
But now here on Earth, ‘tis Christ they must seek.

Maimed and crippled, by war’s tragedies,
‘Tis a great sorrow, you must agree.
Can they imagine, again they’ll be whole,
For the Lord of Heav’n, has full control.

Backs are broken, in bad accidents,
So many lives, in wheelchairs are spent.
Can they imagine, they will walk again,
In Heav’n there will be no sorrow or pain.

Believers in Christ, can look forward to,
A blissful life, with a heav’nly view.
No more handicaps, they all will be gone,
We’ll live life eternal, with God’s own Son.

CAN YOU FEEL IT?? . . . Nov.2000 Message

Can you feel it? that love He sheds on you?
Amazing love; deep and always true!
Such contentment; this feeling of peace,
And this grand feeling will only increase!

O’ that tremendous love; can you feel it?
Flowing thru’ your soul, by the Holy Spirit!
Such great joy; now and forever more,
Eternal blessings for us, are held in store!

Are you God’s child, thru’ Jesus today?
If so, God’s love, will never go away!
It’s there forever, and absolutely free!
There to help us live harmoniously!

If to God’s family, you belong,
You will feel His love, ever so strong!
It will give you strength and comfort and pow’r,
For Christ is ever so near, at any hour!

Can you feel it? as thru’ you it exudes,
In time of crisis, it will not elude.
Can you feel it? love from Christ to you?
A blessing that will always continue!

CAN YOU IMAGINE?? . . . May 1998 Message

Can you imagine that place called Hell?
Where ALL unbelievers one day will dwell.
Not any light, and darkness so deep,
No rest for the weary, not any sleep.

Can you imagine that awful place?
Residents there shall never see God’s Face.
Everything good and pure are no more,
Never a hope to see Heaven’s shore.

Can you imagine the agony?
Eternal destruction, for eternity!
Unquenchable thirst, and horrid screams,
A hundred times worse than your worst dreams.

Can you imagine that putrid smell?
The fire and brimstone, nothing shall quell!
All this goes on for eternity,
With nary a glimmer of serenity.

Many seem to think Hell is make-believe,
And that pain and sorrow they’ll not receive.
But God plainly tells most are on Hell’s road,
That place of misery will be their abode.

You can change roads today; it’s not too late,
So the gates of Heaven will be your fate.
But you must trust Christ, He holds the ‘key,’
Reject Him and it’s Hell, for eternity!

CANNOT GET TOO CLOSE

We cannot get too close to the Lord,
We must love Him; He must be adored.
We can’t feel enough of His deep love,
We need Him here, ‘til we get above.

We can’t know enough ‘bout our Saviour,
We need to know He’ll help us endure.
We can’t read enough of those precious Words,
We need truth, so false, we can discard.

We cannot serve Him too many hours,
We must be brave and never cower.
We must walk close in service to God,
We must love and trust, where e’er we trod.

We must be close; or Satan steps in,
We must study, or Satan will grin.
We must know of God, or Satan’s glad,
We must feel God’s love, or we’ll be sad.

Are you walking close enough to Him?
Or does your pathway sometimes get dim?
Do you study like He wants you to?
Do you really feel, His love so true?

CAST OUT ALL WRONGS

We must cast out anger from our life,
For if we don’t, we will have much strife.
Anger leads to bitterness galore,
With ill feelings, and malice, held in store.

We must put away pride as we live,
Pride will make you fall; it’s deceptive!
It makes you think you’re more than you are,
And pushes you from our God, so far.

We must cast jealousy far away,
If not, there’ll be no peace, in your day.
Resentment, and suspicious of others,
And wrongfully envying your brother.

We must not covet; God’s Word does tell,
These feelings of greed, we surely must quell!
Longing and craving for Earthly wealth,
Will greatly damage our spiritual health.

Cast out all hate; instead we should love,
As does our Lord and Saviour above.
We must do these things, as we live,
Or God’s blessings to us, He won’t give.

CHANGED

In this world, most think ‘taking’ makes you rich,
But when you turn to Christ, your heart does switch!
It is then you think ‘giving’ is better,
For Christ removed your sin; your fetter!

Now you’re changed; you want to ‘do’ for God,
You serve Him willingly, He does not prod.
Such a transformation; just Christ can bring,
From a lost sinner, to ‘child of the King’.

Only Christ can change you; in ev’ry way,
From dark sinner, to ‘child of light’ this day.
Trust Him to save you from the pits of Hell,
He will do it, and in Heaven you’ll dwell!

Changed

As I consider, my life gone by,
Christ Jesus, the King, I did deny.
Each day I continued, in wickedness,
Not once, did I e’er, Jesus confess.

But one sweet day, my Saviour found me,
Giving me, o’er my sin, victory!
Eyes that could not see, were open’d wide,
And He gave me His Spirit, to abide.

Shouting His praises, I now want to do,
I have an awesome feeling, thru’ and thru’.
I want ev’ry one, to feel this way,
Christ is how, we should start and end each day.

Ears that were stopped, now hear so well,
Christ spoke to me: “I’ll keep you from Hell.”
In great hope, I look forward to Heav’n,
And the mansion, that to me will be giv’n.

I am changed, to the new, from the old,
And one day I’ll walk, on that street of gold!
Thank You Lord! for all You have done for me,
I’ll be grateful, for eternity!

CHILD OF GOD

Child of God, there are things you should flee,
We must live ‘not of this world’, but godly.
Envy, railings, evil thoughts, pride and strife,
Flee quickly these things, in your life.

Do you suppose great gain is ‘godliness’?
Suppose again! wealth, is NOT happiness!
Love of money is the root of ALL evil,
‘Twill never bring peace, nor your soul fulfill.

Child of God, you should flee from all these things,
None of these, eternal joy can e’er bring.
Follow after righteousness, faith, and love,
Meekness, patience, godliness; all from above.

Fight the good fight of faith, each day you live,
For God will strength and comfort, to us give.
Godliness, with contentment, is great gain,
Faith and trust in God, will keep you from shame.

Child of God, do you want God to truly bless?
Seek ye first God’s Kingdom and righteousness.
Lay up for yourself, treasures in Heaven,
Blessings for you, from God, will be given.

CHILDREN OF GOD

As many as receive Jesus as Lord,
Will be God’s children, as told in His Word!
Born not of blood, nor flesh, nor will of man,
But born of Almighty God; ‘tis His plan.

As many as are led by God’s Spirit,
Are sons of God, when to Christ they submit.
The spirit of bondage to fear is shed,
The spirit of adoption has come instead.

If we are children in God’s family,
We are then heirs of God for eternity!
Joint-heirs with Christ, God’s well beloved Son,
Who was with God, ‘fore this world was begun!

We are heirs to eternal life in Heav’n,
Heirs to the promise, so long ago giv’n.
If we be Christ’s, then we’re Abraham’s seed,
Faith is counted for righteousness; faith we need!

As many as receive Jesus to save,
Are children of God, ev’n past the grave!
We are justified by grace, heirs of hope,
Eternal life is ours, no need to grope.

CHILDREN OF GOD

A child of God, is truly blessed indeed,
No other option, will to Heaven lead.
We must be born again, spiritually,
Just God’s children, have life eternally.

We must hunger and thirst, for righteousness,
Or God the Father, will not ever bless.
God’s only begotten Son, is our Bread,
Denial of Christ, brings eternal dread.

For Living Water, we must truly thirst,
Or by Almighty God, we shall be cursed.
Out of our bellies, shall Living Water flow,
When we believe in Christ, God wants us to know.

The Kingdom of God, is righteousness and peace,
And joy in the Holy Ghost, that shall increase.
Jesus’ Words brings joy, that in us remain,
Ask and receive, for this joy is great gain.

Our God will pardon, all iniquity,
His anger is brief, He delights in mercy.
He has compassion, when we truly repent,
To the depth of the sea, our sins are sent.

An entrance into Heaven, we shall receive,
If on the Lord Jesus Christ, we believe.
For of His children, God is not ashamed,
His House and our House, shall be the very same!

Are you God’s child, as you read this today?
Do you believe God, do you trust and obey?
Do you with Jesus, walk the narrow path?
Or are you on Satan’s road, luring God’s wrath?

CHOICES . . . May 2010 Messages

In life we’re faced with numerous choices,
As we listen to many voices.
Satan will tempt, continually,
From his deceiving voice, we’re ne’er free.

Immorality is wrong; this we know,
Yet softly Satan whispers: “Go with the flow.”
Will you listen, and his voice obey?
Or will your conscience win out today?

In this life, we have power to choose,
But our God giv’n right we must not abuse.
We must pray to the Lord that He may guide,
And that the wisdom He gives, be applied.

We make various choices each day,
Some are small, some big, along life’s way.
With each decision, our life does change,
Choices, our lifestyle does rearrange.

Choices we make form our destiny,
Decisions must be thought out, carefully.
Wrong choices can cause us much suffering,
So much grief and misery they can bring.

The most important choice you can make,
Is to accept Jesus, and ne’er forsake.
Choosing Jesus gives life eternally,
Only He holds blissful Heaven’s key.

CHOICES AND CONSEQUENCES

Life is a multitude of choices,
Some bring tears, others make us rejoice.
We make decisions, be they good or bad,
The consequences, make us glad or sad!

There are diff’rent roads, from which we choose,
Results can grant gain; or we can lose.
The paths we choose, mold our very life,
Some bring contentment; some bring great strife!

In this life, we can choose from many roads,
That can lead to light or heavy loads.
But in the realm of eternity,
There are just two roads, for you and me.

We can choose the narrow road, so strait,
That leads to God’s Home; Heaven’s gate.
Those who choose this road, are sparse and few,
The decision is yours; it’s up to you!

The only other road is smooth and wide,
Many are on it, taking long strides.
The consequence is sheer agony,
In a burning Hell, for eternity!

You choose; and accept the consequence,
The torture of Hell; or God’s presence!
Just two destinations; Heav’n, or Hell,
Which place my friend, will you choose to dwell?

CHRIST . . . Dec.2016 Message

Many of the prophets of old, did foretell,
Of when Christ would come, and where He would dwell.
And of a young virgin, He would be born,
And His birth would become, a birth forlorn.
Gen.3:15; 49:10; Isa.9:7; 7:14; 11:1-2; Mic.5:2; Dan.9:25

They told how from the king’s wrath, He’d have to flee,
Away to Egypt God sent Him, to safety.
Those walking in darkness saw a great Light,
From Gentiles, God cast away their night.
Hos.11:1; Mat.2:4-15

Christ would spend much time in Galilee,
Healing many sick, and infirmities.
His awesome love, always did abound,
In Him always, great love could be found.
Isa.9:1-2; Mat.4:12-16; 9:1

Then a tragedy; a friend did betray,
Sold Christ for 30 pieces of silver that day.
Judas couldn’t live, with what He had done,
Betraying his Master, God’s very own Son.
Ps.41:9; 109:7-8; Ex.21:32; Mat.26:14-16; 27:3-10

Jesus, by false witnesses were accused,
Smitten and spat upon, they did abuse.
He open’d not His mouth, tho’ they did oppress,
His heartbreak and pain, He did suppress.
Ps.27:12; 35:11; 38:13-14; Mat.26:60-63; Isa.50:6

He bore our griefs, and carried our sorrows,
Jesus thought only, of our tomorrows.
Between wicked sinners, Christ was crucified,
His Hands and Feet were pierced, before He died.
Isa.53:4-5, 12; 50:6; Mat.8:16-17; 27:38; Ps.22:16; Zec.12:10

He was mock’d and insulted, for hours on end,
His own had departed, He had not one friend.
His heart was bereaved, broken and heavy,
Not one was there, to comfort or pity.
Ps.22:6-8; 69:8-9, 20-21; Mat.27:39-40

Gall and vinegar, they gave Him for thirst,
As His heavy heart, felt like it would burst.
But for His enemies there, He did pray,
Awesome forgiveness and love, He did portray.
Ps.109:4; Isa.53:12; Luke 23:34

On that horrid cross, for us, our Saviour died,
His people insisted, He be crucified.
Soldiers, His side, with a spear did pierce.
No compassion! they were evil and fierce.
Zec.12:10; 13:9; John 1:11; 19:34; Mat.24:30; Rev.19:11

Thru’ it all, not one of His bones did they break,
The work He was giv’n, He did not forsake.
Jesus was buried in a rich man’s grave,
The Son of God, for us, His life gave.
Ps.34:20; Ex.12:46; John 19:33; Isa.53:9; Mat.27:57-60

Where He takes our side, with such great love!

CHRIST . . . Dec.2007 Message

Many of the prophets of old, did foretell,
Of when Christ would come, and where He would dwell.
And of a young virgin, He would be born,
And His birth would become, a birth forlorn.
Gen.3:15; 49:10; Isa.9:7; 7:14; 11:1-2; Mic.5:2; Dan.9:25

They told how from the king’s wrath, He’d have to flee,
Away to Egypt God sent Him, to safety.
Those walking in darkness saw a great Light,
From Gentiles, God cast away their night.
Hos.11:1; Mat.2:4-15

Christ would spend much time in Galilee,
Healing many sick, and infirmities.
His awesome love, always did abound,
In Him always, great love could be found.
Isa.9:1-2; Mat.4:12-16; 9:1

Then a tragedy; a friend did betray,
Sold Christ for 30 pieces of silver that day.
Judas couldn’t live, with what He had done,
Betraying his Master, God’s very own Son.
Ps.41:9; 109:7-8; Ex.21:32; Mat.26:14-16; 27:3-10

Jesus, by false witnesses were accused,
Smitten and spat upon, they did abuse.
He open’d not His mouth, tho’ they did oppress,
His heartbreak and pain, He did suppress.
Ps.27:12; 35:11; 38:13-14; Mat.26:60-63; Isa.50:6

He bore our griefs, and carried our sorrows,
Jesus thought only, of our tomorrows.
Between wicked sinners, Christ was crucified,
His Hands and Feet were pierced, before He died.
Isa.53:4-5, 12; 50:6; Mat.8:16-17; 27:38; Ps.22:16; Zec.12:10

He was mock’d and insulted, for hours on end,
His own had departed, He had not one friend.
His heart was bereaved, broken and heavy,
Not one was there, to comfort or pity.
Ps.22:6-8; 69:8-9, 20-21; Mat.27:39-40

Gall and vinegar, they gave Him for thirst,
As His heavy heart, felt like it would burst.
But for His enemies there, He did pray,
Awesome forgiveness and love, He did portray.
Ps.109:4; Isa.53:12; Luke 23:34

On that horrid cross, for us, our Saviour died,
His people insisted, He be crucified.
Soldiers, His side, with a spear did pierce.
No compassion! they were evil and fierce.
Zec.12:10; 13:9; John 1:11; 19:34; Mat.24:30; Rev.19:11

Thru’ it all, not one of His bones did they break,
The work He was giv’n, He did not forsake.
Jesus was buried in a rich man’s grave,
The Son of God, for us, His life gave.
Ps.34:20; Ex.12:46; John 19:33; Isa.53:9; Mat.27:57-60

Christ Jesus did NOT stay dead! He rose again!
The tomb was empty, where His body had been.
He ascended up into Heav’n above,
Where He takes our side, with such great love!
Ps.46:10; Mat.16:21; 28:9; Luke 24:36-51; Acts 1:9; Eph.4:8; 1 John 2:1;

CHRIST CAME . . . .

Christ came to bring life eternally,
To take sin away, and set us free.
He paid the price we could never pay,
We can look forward with hope, to that day.

Christ came to put peace and joy in our heart,
A wondrous feeling, that won’t depart.
The world cannot have the peace He gives,
We’re not troubled, nor fear, as we live.

Christ also came, to bring division,
For unbelief will bring God’s derision.
Christ will divide daughter from mother,
Also the son from his own father.

When you stand with Christ, there’s a price to pay,
For you must put Jesus first, alway!
When you accept Christ, some ‘friends’ flee fast,
But friendship of Christ, is one that lasts.

As you read these words, where do you stand?
Do you WANT to go to Glory Land?
Only Christ has the key to Heav’n’s door,
All other keys give what Hell has in store.

Christ Delivers Us

Christ delivers us, from the lowest Hell,
Belief in Him assures, there we won’t dwell.
In the Book of life, Jesus writes our name,
Faith in Jesus, removes eternal shame.

Christ delivers us, from the wrath to come,
We will not see, the Great Tribulation.
Being in Christ Jesus, we’re justified,
Jesus’ righteousness, to us is applied.

Christ delivers us, from the pow’r of darkness,
We’re God’s friends and children, whom He does bless.
A royal priesthood, let’s sing forth our praise,
The fruit of our lips, let’s gratefully raise.

Christ delivers us, from the curse of the Law,
Placing us under grace, where there is no flaw.
We’re cursed, if just one point of the Law we fail,
But God’s wondrous grace, has much to avail.

Christ delivers us, from this present world,
As all around us, evils are unfurl’d.
Christ was not of this world, neither are we,
He made us citizens of Heav’n, eternally.

Christ delivers us, from all evil’s pow’r,
Satan has no control, ev’n in his best hour.
If we submit to God, Satan will flee,
Christ delivers our soul, eternally.

Christ delivers us, from the presence of sin,
Delivered, from the bondage we were in.
One day we shall live, in God’s Home above,
Because of our God’s, great and awesome love.

CHRIST IS . . . . . . December 2015 Message

Christ is the True Light, receive Him today,
He can cast out all darkness in your day.
When we walk with Him, He will light our path,
And my friend, He can keep you, from God’s wrath.

Christ is the True Bread, on Him let us feed,
Spiritually, He is the Food we need.
We will never hunger, never e’er thirst,
If in our heart, we place Christ Jesus first.

Christ is the True Vine, from Him comes our pow’r,
In Him we must abide, ev’ry single hour.
We’re just branches, so helpless on our own,
Without Him we’re nothing, God’s Word has shown.

Christ Jesus is, the True Water of Life,
He can cast away, all our spiritual strife.
He gives to us, His Spirit to abide,
Assuring us of Heav’n, where we’ll reside.

Christ is the True Shepherd, of all God’s sheep,
Leading and guiding, He does tenderly keep.
Of all His flock, He’ll lose not ev’n one,
This wondrous Shepherd, who is God’s own Son.

A True Record of the Father, is the Son,
A record in place, ‘fore the world begun.
If we have Christ Jesus, Heav’n does await,
Reject Jesus, and it’s Hell’s one-way gate.

Christ is the True Witness, ‘tis O so true,
We MUST believe in Jesus, me and you.
Long ago, the prophet of Christ did speak,
The Words of Jesus, let us truly seek.

CHRIST IS! . . . December 2014 Message

Christ is the Light, that shines in darkness,
The Light that can remove our blindness.
The Light that guides in paths I can’t see,
That leads us onward to eternity.

Christ is the Shepherd, of all God’s sheep,
The Shepherd whom our souls safely keep.
The Shepherd who supplies all our needs,
And to all our dangers, He pays heed.

Christ is the True Vine, that does empow’r,
The Vine that refreshes us, ev’ry hour.
The Vine that strengthens, so we endure,
He makes us holy, loving and pure.

Christ is the Bridge, from sinners to God,
The only Bridge, the wide world abroad.
The Bridge, crossing o’er judgment and Hell,
To a place where we, in bliss shall dwell.

Christ is the Key, to eternal Heav’n,
The Key to the mansion, God has given.
The Key to joy in eternity,
Where we’ll have peace and serenity.

Christ is our Saviour, our Lord and King,
The only Channel, to God’s blessings.
He’s our Redeemer, our debt He did pay,
That we might live, to see a better day.

This Jesus; what an amazing Man!
God’s only Son, who fulfilled His plan.
If you don’t know Him, He waits for you,
Open your heart’s door, to this Friend so true.

Christ is the Master, His disciples are we,
Just He alone, can give life eternally.
In this earthly life, we must trust and obey,
Just Christ can open, Heav’n’s door one day.

He alone can lead us, be it night or day.
Many roadblocks in life, hinder our journey,
Just Christ can access Heav’n, He has the key.

Christ is the Shepherd, who takes care of His own,
Green pastures to His sheep, are always shown.
Beside still, cool waters, He will always lead,
But we must to His Voice, always pay heed.

He never fails us, for He is always near.

Our sin for His righteousness, He makes a trade.

Such wondrous love He reveals, for He truly cares.
He’s gone on ahead, to prepare us a place,
Where for e’er we’ll behold, His glorious Face.

CHRIST IS A GREAT LIGHT

Christ is a great Light, in darkness deep,
He’s strength to aid, when our path is steep.
He is warm sunshine, after a rain,
He’s calming assurance, after strain.

When my soul does tire, Christ brings relief,
Giving comfort and peace; expels my grief.
He’s my help and my hope, for e’er more,
And He has the ‘key’ to Heaven’s door!

Christ is merciful, loving and kind,
With grace for all; that baffles the mind.
He is love for e’er, loyal and true,
To all who trust Him; “Is that you?”

CHRIST IS AS NEAR . . . . . . June 2006 Message

Christ is no stranger, in a place far away,
For He makes His Presence known, each single day.
He’s as close as the breeze, that caresses my face,
For I know that He’s near, by His amazing grace.

Christ is as near, as the dew on the grass,
Sparkling in the sunlight, as slowly I pass.
He’s as close as the wind, rustling in the trees,
For I know that He’s near, as my spirit He frees.

Christ is as near, as a snowflake when it falls,
His Presence ever near, when on Him I call.
He’s as close as the raindrops, falling on me,
For I know that He’s near, watching so closely.

Christ is as near, as the sand ‘tween my toes,
His Presence to my soul, makes comfort flow.
He’s as close as warm sunbeams, on a cold day,
For I know that He’s near, as He guides my way.

‘Tis an awesome privilege, to have Christ near,
And when I call on Him, He calms my fears.
‘Tis a wondrous blessing, we have each day,
For dear sweet Jesus, is just a teardrop away!

CHRIST IS THE ANSWER

I was evil, wicked, and filthy,
In God’s eyes I was His enemy.
Then one day I found a better way,
Down on my knees, to Him I did pray.

Like water, I drank iniquity,
I loved evil, and would not flee.
One day I awoke to find Christ there,
Before that time, I was unaware.

All my wicked sins were sheer delight,
I rejoic’d in evil; day or night.
And then one day the Answer I found,
Satan can no longer keep me bound.

One day I felt pricked in my heart,
Christ came in; and He did not depart.
He’s there, and all my sins He’ll forgive,
And in Heav’n, some day with Him I’ll live.

I awoke to find a better way,
Christ is the Answer, both night and day.
Outside my heart’s door, so patiently,
I found the Answer, waiting for me.

CHRIST IS THE ‘BRIDGE’

Christ is the ‘Bridge’ from Earth, to Heav’n,
The only One the Father hath giv’n.
If we accept God’s One True Way,
We’ll be citizens of Heav’n alway.

Christ is the ‘Bridge’ from death to life,
The only One that can relieve strife.
We as humans follow sin’s path,
Just Jesus takes away God’s wrath.

Christ is the ‘Bridge’ o’er troubled seas,
The only One that makes Satan flee.
Trials and tribulations will be near,
But with our Saviour, we’ve nought to fear.

Christ is the ‘Bridge’ from wrong to right,
Always there to help, in our fight.
We must love and trust; and obey,
For with our God, there’s no other way!

Christ is the ‘Bridge’ that leads from Hell,
Trust Him, and there, you’ll never dwell!
Just walk in Him, thru’ Heav’n’s door,
All Heaven’s wonder is in store.

CHRIST IS THE ‘KEY’

Christ is the ‘Key’ to eternal life,

CHRIST IS THE LIGHT

Christ is the “Light” in all your darkness,
When He lights your path, you’ll have success!
In our dear Lord, there’s no darkness at all,
When He holds your hand, you will not fall!

“The Lord is my light and my salvation,”
He chose me from before the Creation.
Mysteries like this are not understood,
But if we love God, all will work for good.

“For the Lord God is a sun and a shield,”
Walk close to Him, and Satan’s darts you’ll wield.
When I shall fall, I shall rise once again,
If I trust and obey, He shall remain!

When I sit in darkness, He’ll be my “Light”,
Helping and guiding, in all my plight.
The Lord shall be a “Light” unto me,
He illuminates the dark; sets me free.

The world today is in darkness deep,
My friend, only Christ, your soul can keep!
He’s patiently waiting to hear from you,
He’ll chase your darkness, with His “Light” so true!

Darkness to God, is ALL sinfulness,
Turn to Him, repent; your sins confess.
Christ will lighten your every day,

‘Tis stated o’er and o’er in His Word!
We can bear not one fruit on our own,
All we can do is stumble and groan.

We must abide in the ‘Vine’ alway,
He’ll then supply our needs, night and day!

Christ Means So Much To Us All

Christ Jesus means so much to us all,
Without Him, we’d have such a great fall.
Jesus is our strength, day after day,
His wisdom helps us on life’s pathway.

As filthy rags, is our righteousness,
But with Christ’s purity, God does bless.
When on Jesus, we trust and believe,
That moment, Christ’s righteousness we receive.

Our faith in Jesus, does justify,
The verdict “Not guilty” is God’s reply.
In the courts of Heav’n, we’re not guilty,
From the burden of sin, we’re set free.

Christ sanctifies, God states in His Word,
We’re set apart, to serve our dear Lord.
One day we’ll share Christ’s glory above,
As joint heirs with Him, in eternal love.

Christ is our Shepherd, to show us the way,
Jesus leads and guides us, ev’ry day.
On dark paths of life, He is our Light,
Ne’er deserting us, no matter the plight.

Our Lord Jesus, holds Heav’n’s only key,
Just He can give us, life eternally.
For believers, a mansion awaits,
Reserv’d for us, inside Heav’n’s gates.

Jesus is our Master, and our King,
Let’s to Him daily, our praises sing.
He is our Saviour, He is our Lord,
He should be loved, He should be ador’d.

Christ Must Be First

In our heart and life, Christ must be first,
Yearning for Him to be near, you must thirst.
Our awesome Lord, must be number One!
Our precious Redeemer, God’s own Son.

Of all others, you must love Him more,
If you e’er have hope of seeing Heav’n’s shore.
More than anyone in your family,
You must always place Him first, willingly.

We must love Him more than silver or gold,
If the gates of Heav’n, we want to behold.
We must love Him more, than fortune or fame,
If we want to carry His Holy Name.

To deny self, is simply a must,
We must ne’er doubt, but Him always trust.
For His amazing grace, we must yearn,
And the things of the world, we must spurn.

Our dear Lord clearly states, “Follow Me,”
He wants our commitment, you and me.
We must love Him, and trust and obey,
We must place Christ first, to see Heav’n someday.

THE CHRIST OF CALV’RY’S ROAD? . . . April 2015 Message

Do you know the Christ of Calv’ry’s road?
The Christ that carried that heavy load?
Weary, stagg’ring; with head bowed low,
A Man acquainted with grief and sorrow.

Do you know the Christ of Calv’ry’s road?
The Christ that left His Heav’nly abode?
He condescended for you and me,
Paid our debt, and set our sinful soul free.

Do you know the Christ of Calv’ry’s road?
The Christ from whom that precious Blood flow’d?
He was despis’d; we esteem’d Him not,
Yet our very souls, this Christ, has bought.

Do you know the Christ of Calv’ry’s road?
He can help carry your greatest load.
Only this Christ can grant peace and rest,
Joy you will have; for you will be blest!

Do you know the Christ of Calv’ry’s way?
If not, He cries out, to you today!
This Christ can grant eternal life above,
Heav’n will be yours, by His wondrous love!

On the Solid Rock, only will I build,

On the Solid rock, I’ll truly rest,

You grant a safe shelter, when I abide!

On the Solid Rock, I’ll be content,
For I have peace and joy, not torment.
My sins are gone; Christ did justify,
For His precious Blood, He did apply!

The devil’s lies will never hurt me,
For my Advocate gives victory!

CHRIST, THE TRUE VINE

Christ is the ‘True Vine’ that God does keep,
Remember this, when Satan does creep.
If God kept Jesus, He’ll keep us too,
Abide in Christ, He’ll take care of you!

Christ is the ‘Vine’; we need His support,
Always to Him, we need to resort.
We as branches can’t live without Him,
Life would be unproductive and dim.

Nourishment comes only from the ‘Vine’,
We the branches, must make Jesus shine!
We must abide in Christ, or we’re useless,
Trust and obey, and our sins confess.

We can bear much fruit, if we abide,
Never to leave our dear Saviour’s side.
Love, joy and peace, patience and faith too,
A few of the fruits that can come from you.

We CAN’T produce these fruits, but He will,
When we abide, His Spirit does fill.
We must try to do God’s will always,
Giving Him the glory, all our days.

(John ch.15)

Christ the Vine

Christ is the Vine, I’m just a branch, fragile and frail,
Any pow’r I posess, is to no avail.
I must receive nourishment, from the Vine,
All His qualities, I should claim as mine.

Without Christ Jesus, nothing can I do,
I may refuse to admit, it, but it’s true.
I must abide in Him, and Him in me,
If I want to see, Heav’n’s wondrous beauty.

If not joined to the vine, a branch is worthless,
This is a fact, unbelievers won’t confess.
All strength and pow’r, from the Lord we must obtain,
Or that mansion in Heav’n, we will never gain.

Christ is the Vine and Hope, to Him we must cling,
For only Jesys, eternal life can bring.
So very few, fail to acknowledge this fact,
For living like the devil, is how they act.

If a branch is severed, from a vine or tree,
That branch dies; it’s dead, with this you must agree.
When someone rejects Christ, His pow’r they forsake,
And in this life on Earth, ‘tis a huge mistake!

Do you reject Christ? or accept Him as Lord?
Do you believe God? And take Him at His Word?
You must believe God, never call Him a “liar”,
Or you shall be cast, into the Lake of Fire!

CHRIST WAS THERE . . . Sept.2008 Message

Christ made the Earth, sky and sea; divided day from night,
He created everything, by the power of His might.
Noah made the ark, put the animals on three floors,
Then when everything was ready, Jesus shut the door.

Nimrod built a tower, that reached far into the sky,
Only on their pow’r and wisdom, did these people rely.
The pride of Babylon, came to an blunt halt one day,
Christ confused languages, and they fled in every way.

The pre-incarnate Christ, to Abraham one day did come,
And Abraham entertained Him, in his humble home.
The Lord told him “Lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son,”
And everything the Lord promises, shall be done.

Christ destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, with brimstone and fire,
For the lifestyle there had become, an evil, wicked mire.
When she looked back, a pillar of salt, Lot’s wife became,
She disobeyed God, had no one but herself to blame.

Christ was there with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego,
When into that horrid, fiery furnace they did go.
They refused to worship that giant statue of gold,
Their faith in God, gave them great courage to be bold.

Christ closed the mouths of the hungry lions in the den,
When Daniel disobeyed the king’s law, way back then.
He still prayed to Almighty God three times a day,
He was saved from sure death, when God he did obey.

Christ is there for us today, as He was for all of these,
When we trust Christ with our all, the devil cannot seize.
Only Jesus can save us from the horrid pits of Hell,
Just He can open Heaven’s gate, where all God’s children shall dwell.

Christ Will Be There

Christ will be there, in your time of need,
Answer to your pray’r, He’ll send with speed.
He’ll give comfort, in your time of pain,
His loving Presence, is such great gain.

Christ will be there, any time you call,
His outstretched Hand, is there if you fall.
He gives such great peace, deep down inside,
For His Holy Spirit, does abide.

Christ will be there, when you need His pow’r,
He can give great strength, at any hour.
He nourishes us, for He is the Vine,
What joy it gives me, to know He’s mine!

Christ will be there, any time, any where,
When we go to Him, in earnest pray’r.
Faithfulness like His, is very rare,
O how He loves us, and truly cares.

When troubles come, He’s always close by,
With awesome comfort, He’ll not deny.
His Presence is with us, ev’ry hour,
Granting us always, love, wisdom and pow’r.

CHRIST, OUR ANCHOR

Jesus is our Anchor; firm and sure,
Placing trust in Him, makes us secure.
Whatever storms Satan brings our way,
Christ will keep you tethered, night and day!

Our Anchor is Jesus’ righteousness,
Accept Him, sin is gone; God does bless!
Only His righteousness justifies,
In God the Father’s Almighty eyes!

His precious Blood will always avail,
Our stable Anchor that will not fail!
Blood He shed willingly, on that Cross,
Without that Anchor, we’re at loss!

A trustworthy Anchor is His love,
Without a doubt; we’re bless’d from above.
Unmerited love; for you and me,
Our Anchor’s secure, for eternity!

Many fierce storms and raging waves, high,
We need an Anchor; we can’t deny!
Only Christ can be our Anchor sure,
Just He can help you, storms to endure!

CHRIST, THE DOOR

There is but one “Door” into Heaven,
Christ, God’s Son, whom to us is given.
Without Jesus, you’re God’s enemy,
Acceptance of Him makes you sin free.

God’s children have one qualification,
The Blood of Christ, gives us salvation.
We then have a privilege held in store,
We can enter Heaven, thru’ the “Door”.

Salvation for e’er, and liberty,
No more devil’s prison, we are free.
Access to the Father and His love,
Just thru’ the “Door” that will lead above.

A river of water, clear and pure,
And there’s a tree of life; so grandeur!
Almighty God shall take care of His own,
All who go thru’ the “Door”, when it’s shown!

Christ’s Coming

The day of Christ’s Coming, will arrive soon,
Will it be night? or morning? or at noon?
Most folk won’t be ready, for that great sight,
The Rapture will be, as a thief in the night.

The Rapture will be, for God’s people alone,
Only for those, His Blood did atone.
Christ Jesus will come, and His Bride He’ll take,
All others that day, Christ will forsake.

Will you at the Rapture, be left behind?
Are you watching for Him? or are you blind?
Do you go along with this evil world’s ways?
Or are you prepared, for this special day?

The Rapture will come, as in Noah’s day,
All will be at ease, going their own way.
We must watch, for we know not when He’ll come,
If we’re not ready, we’ll miss that trip Home.

Two people in one bed, one stays, one will go,
The one left behind, will have much sorrow.
For he the Great Tribulation will enter,
He will have to wait to see Heav’n’s grandeur.

Two together, working out in a field,
But only one to Jesus’ call will yield.
And the other one, will be left behind,
And his fellow worker, he’ll not find.

God’s true children, must do more than believe,
If all God’s blessings, they want to receive.
We must trust, but we also must obey,
If we expect to go, with Christ that day.

At any moment, Christ Jesus could come,
High in the clouds, to take His Bride home.
This should be considered v’ry carefully,
My friend, it might save you much agony.

CHRIST’S RETURN

So many try to guess, when Christ will come,
To take believers, to their new home.
They’ve never been right, they never will be,
Only God alone knows, when Christ we’ll see!

Jesus will come only at God’s command,
To take believers, to Heav’n’s blissful land!
We must be watching, we must live with care,
We don’t want Christ to catch us, unawares!

We know not when Christ will come; we cannot say,
We know not what God has in store each day!
We must walk by faith, and not by our sight,
Imitate Jesus, let Him guide day and night!

If Christ were to come in the clouds this day,
Would you be glad to see that wondrous display?
Or would you cringe in fear when He look’d at you?
Because you don’t live, as He wants you to?

Will you be asham’d when He comes in the clouds?
Or will you praise Him with that grateful crowd?
Your reaction then, will depend on this day,
We must watch for Christ, and the Lord obey!

CITY OF GOLD

One day I’ll walk on those streets of gold,
For I am His child, and in His fold.
I’ll go to that golden city so high,
And be so joyous, ne’er more to cry.

Christ has gone on to prepare a place,
Someday soon, I’ll see His glorious Face.
He will come again for me and you,
For all who believe, and to Him are true.

That city of beauty, made of pure gold,
And the glory of God we’ll behold.
No need for the sun or moon to shine,
The glory of God will lighten so fine.

That holy city, New Jerusalem,
Will come down from God, as a fine gem.
He shall be our God, holy and true,
We shall be His people, me and you.

If you know our Saviour, Christ the Lord,
You’ll see this city on your own accord.
You too will walk on those streets of gold,
Heir to His Kingdom of beauty untold!

CLIMBING A SPIRITUAL MOUNTAIN

The first step we take is ‘humility’,
We must admit we need Christ; you and me!
“Blessed are they that mourn”; mourn for their sin,
We must repent, as our trek we begin!

Christ also tells us: “Blessed are the meek,”
His Spirit will grant us this ‘fruit’ we seek!
If we hunger and thirst for righteousness,
We shall be filled; for Christ does promise!

As we climb on, we should be merciful,
For we want God’s mercy to be bountiful.
Those “pure in heart” are washed in Christ’s Blood,
We’re made all new, by His crimson Flood!

We’re to be “peacemakers” in storms of life,
Being calm and serene, in ev’ry strife.
When folk persecute us, for righteousness,
We should be happy, for our God does bless!

God’s way of living, contradicts the world,
But He wants us to love, when hate’s unfurl’d.
We must live far diff’rent than those around,
If we want God’s vast blessings to abound!

CLOSE TO ME

I can hear Him say: Walk close to Me,
For to life’s problems, I hold the key.
I can help you, your burdens to bear,
I love you dearly, and I do care.

When life’s paths, get foreboding and dark,
Walk in My light, and to Me do hark.
Walk close to Me, I can hear Him say,
For I can make it, a brighter day.

Walk close to Me, Jesus gently states,
Life’s snarls, I can help eliminate.
Chaos that baffles you, I’ll help clear,
My child, I’ll assist, I’m always near.

Walk close to Me, my Master declares,
For no one else, with Me can compare.
I’ll give you wisdom, I’ll give you pow’r,
For I’m with you always, ev’ry hour.

Walk close to Me, my Friend speaks low,
For I will guide you, where e’er you go.
I’ll be with you, ev’ry step of the way,
Loving and caring for you, each day.

Walk close to Me, ‘tis my Shepherd’s voice,
And each time I hear, I simply rejoice.
When I stray, He brings me back to the fold,
His rebuke to me, is worth more than gold.

Walk close to Me, my Saviour does say,
As I get closer to Heav’n each day.
Only Christ Jesus holds Heav’n’s one key,
And just He can give, life eternally.

CLOSER TO YOU, LORD

Closer to You, Lord, I want to be,

O how I need your Presence so near,
Giving me comfort, calming my fears.

Closer to You, Lord, both night and day,
Help me dear Lord, your will to obey.
Let me feel your Presence, giving me pow’r,
Lord, I do need You, every hour.

Closer to You, Lord, in sorrow and pain,
Feeling your Presence gives such great gain.
You seem closer when I’m in pray’r,
Conveying your love, showing You care.

Closer to You, when I search your Word,
It tells me your love will not be barr’d.
It builds up my faith when I have doubt,
Assuring me I’m on the right route.

Lord, I want to be closer to You,
For You are my Friend, faithful and true.
Your awesome Presence, in me abides,
‘Til that sweet day, with You I’ll reside.

Feeling you close is one way You bless,

Each day Lord, I feel closer to You,
As I willingly serve, my Master so true.
I feel so elated that You are near,
Praise and gratitude chase away all fears.

Nearer precious Lord, nearer to Thee,
For You give me total serenity.
Let me with You in the garden stay,
For I could list’ to You, all the day.

As I walk with You in the morning dew,
Again I’m privileged, I’m one of the “few.”
All the day long, and thru’ the twilight,
Precious Lord, don’t let me, out of Your sight.

Let me walk near You, as this Earth I roam,

Closer, closer Lord, humbly I ask,
That in Your Presence, I warmly bask.
As onward thru’ this brief life I go,
May You be close in joy or sorrow.

Closer, closer with Your awesome love,
Inspiring love that comes just from above.
Closer dear Lord, as I live each day,
I need to know that You won’t go away.

Closer, closer Lord, year after year,
‘Tis a great comfort to have You near.
As I walk on the steep, rugged road,

COME AS YOU ARE

You need God, this, He wants you to know,
He desires that your joy will o’er flow.
Turn to Him now, He’s not far away,
He waits to hear from you, this v’ry day.

Go to Him, like a beggar so poor,
He wants you to call on Him, this is sure.
God asks only one thing; to believe,
Without faith, not one, will He receive.

Go to Him now, with both hands empty,
God hates pride; go in humility.
The only thing full, should be your heart,
Full of remorse; then from sin, depart!

He’s waiting this day, so patiently,
He does not want you as His enemy.
God wants you to come; just as you are,
‘Whosoever’ means you, from near and far.

Young or old; in sickness or in health,
A poor lonely beggar, or man of wealth.
God offers salvation, thru’ His Son,
Believe and repent; Heav’n will be won!

Come, at the Cross your burden leave,
Repent for all your sins; do grieve.
Just count as dross your earthly gain,
Come as you are, He will sustain.

Come, Come, without money or price,

COME UNTO ME

Our Saviour cries out, “Come unto Me,”
He will ease you burdens willingly.
His yoke is easy, His burden light,

“Come unto Me,” He tenderly calls,
He can ease the burdens of one and all.
He’ll lift your heavy load, off of you,

When His yoke, you willingly accept,
He makes you God’s child, and He’ll protect.
No matter your load, He’s there to aid,
Thru’ calm or storm, you need not be afraid.

When you take Jesus’ yoke upon you,
It means you commit, to One who is true.
Your commitment must be a life long one,
You must stand firm, by God’s only Son.

When we join together with the Lord,
Wondrous praises from our soul is heard.
For now, Christ is there in time of need,
He lifts our load, when to Him we plead.

So softly He cries, “Come unto Me,”
“Bring me all your pain and misery.
My yoke is easy, my burden light,
I will assist you, no matter your plight.”

It’s senseless to bear your burden alone,
It’s foolish to suffer on your own.
Accept His offer to “Come unto Me,”

Are you one of many His calls denies?
“Come, come to Me child,” He cries once more,
Just He can give access to Heav’n’s shore!

Just Jesus can lift your burden so great,
Why, oh why dear one, do you hesitate?
Turn to Jesus when you hear His call,
And Hell’s agony on you won’t befall!

Again He cries: “My child, come to Me,
“You’ll not be sin’s slave, for I’ll set you free!”
Your heavy burden, Jesus can remove,
When you accept His Son, God does approve!

“Come, come to Me child, I have paid the price,
The Blood I shed on the Cross, does suffice!”
His precious Blood cleanses and justifies
ALL who turn to Him when they hear His cry!

“Come, come to Me child,” He calls tenderly,
As He knocks on your heart’s door, patiently!
Please dear one, don’t turn Him away,
Accepting Him gives blessings, now and alway!

COMFORT COMES

Comfort comes when pain is more than I can bear,,
The Lord Jesus arrives, my burdens to share.
He may not always take all my pain away,
But His comfort comes, and will last thru’ the day.

Comfort comes when sorrow immerses my soul,
The Lord Jesus is there, taking full control.
I still may suffer and I still may grieve,
But the Presence of Jesus never does leave.

Comfort comes when persecution is fierce,
The Lord Jesus gladly my suffering does pierce.
It seems there’s people who love to oppress,
But His comfort comes, as He truly does bless.

Comfort comes when tribulation sets in,
The Lord Jesus sees that my troubles I win.
I know that hardships will come ev’ry day,
But comfort comes when Jesus lights the way.

Comfort comes when I have total distress,
The Lord Jesus steps in, and releases my stress.
I know things in life won’t always be right,
But comfort comes with His wisdom and might.

Comfort from God comes in so many ways,
Power and mercy and love He displays.
His forgiveness is great encouragement,
And His awesome grace is always sufficient.

COMMITMENT

Commit thy way, and trust the Lord,
God v’ry plainly tells us in His Word.
So sad to say, ‘tis here we all fail,
Believing and trusting should prevail.

Commit thy way unto the Lord, and trust,
Simple, child-like faith in Him, is a must.
With Him beside, we can dare to stand,
We must firmly place, our hand in His Hand.

Trust the Lord, and commit thy way,
Abandon all to Him, this v’ry day.
Leave all to Him, he knows thy course,
Faith in Him, removes much remorse.

When we commit our life to the Lord,
We must completely trust His Word.
When storms come, believe He can hold them still,
Simply trust His strong Arm, and perfect will.

Trust Him to manage ev’rything you do,
Commit all to Him, our Lord so true.
He can help with ev’rything for thee,
But God insists that you, trustful be.

Trust Him, He is wise, faithful and true,
Faith, my friend, is what He asks of you.
From anxious worry, you can have rest,
Commit thy way to Him, and you’ll be blest.

Commitment

I see Jesus with Arms, stretched out to me,
Giving me comfort and security.
I must keep, my commitment to Him,
Trust and obey, or salvation is dim.

Trusting Jesus, is the first step we take,
Then comes the commitment, we must make.
We must take our commitment to Christ, seriously,
For it takes us to Heav’n, eternally.

In our commitment, we all must obey,
Trust is not enough, on each giv’n day.
Trust and obedience, together are bound,
For eternal salvation, just in Christ is found.

The only work we can do, is believe,
And eternal salvation, we receive.
To the foot of the cross, we must go,
Repent of sin, as we mourn in sorrow.

Have you made a commitment, to the Lord?
Friend, you must do this, in willing accord.
You must be devoted; trust and obey,
And serve your Master, each and ev’ry day.

Can you see Jesus, with Arms reaching for you?
He really loves you, and is always true.
His amazing grace, compassion and love,
Is a Promise He makes to you, from above.

When you make a commitment, Christ makes one too,
He makes you God’s child, one of the chosen “few,”
Your commitment, gives life eternally,
It’s His commitment to you, and to me.

COMPARED TO CHRIST

All other greatness, is nothing at all,
Compared to Christ, it’s very small!
Christ is the Highest, the Chief, the King!
Give Him honor, glory; and to Him, sing!

All other wisdom is stupidity,
Compared to Christ, it’s pure folly.
Christ is knowing and wise; beyond degree,
Prudent, discreet, and judging rightly.

All other goodness is wrong and bad,
Compared to Christ, it’s very sad.
Christ is gentle, soft hearted and kind,
Benevolent, and ne’er to our cares blind.

All other gentleness is harsh and wild,
Compared to Christ, it’s never mild.
Christ is patient, caring and serene,
Honorable, tranquil, and pristine.

All other courage is full of fear,
Compared to Christ, it’s panic, clear.
Christ is valiant, and of a strong heart true,
Faultless and brave, intrepid too.

All other loveliness is vile and cross,
Compared to Christ, it’s total loss.
Christ is so gracious, loving and warm.
Devoted, wondrous, and wishing no harm.

Compared to Christ

My shadow is small, compared to Him,
Compared to Jesus, my light is dim.
Yet on my path, I keep plodding on,
Greatly encouraged, by God’s own Son!

My love is but a drop in a pail,
And compared to Him, my mercy fails.
Yet I want to serve Him ev’ry day,
Persisting, because He guides my way!

Compared to Jesus, my faith is weak,
And His wisdom, I don’t always seek.
Yet I stay on my troubling road,
For I’m sure He’ll help me carry my load!

My knowledge is small, compared to Him,
And my discernment, truly is dim.
Yet I know that I must always serve,
My precious Saviour, I don’t deserve!

I fall so short in love; this I know,
That’s why to my Saviour, I must go!
Mercy and forgiveness; mine decline,
That’s why I must stay, attached to the Vine!

Without my Lord, I’m nothing at all,
My love, kindness and compassion are small.
But with Jesus, I can do all things,
His abiding with me; a vast blessing!

He makes a Promise; “I won’t forsake,”
He’s there ev’n when I make a mistake.
Ev’n tho’ I fall short, He will equip me,
To serve Him now, and thru’ eternity!

COMPLETELY FREE

Completely free, life eternally,
It’s a Gift from God, to you and me.
We begin with the Gift of God’s Son,
Accepting Christ, salvation’s begun!

Completely free, are all God’s blessings,
Consider His grace, so amazing.
Abundant mercy, and wondrous love,
He sheds on His children, from above.

Completely free, His Spirit He gives,
Who guides and directs us, as we live.
Wisdom and strength, the Spirit provides,
There in a heartbeat, for He resides.

Completely free, access to God’s Throne,
For the Blood of His Son, did atone.
A wondrous thought, we are justified,
God hears, our prayers won’t be denied.

Completely free, wondrous peace within,
Also free, forgiveness of our sin.
The hope of eternal life is great gain,
For we know God’s Promise, does remain.

Completely free, all God does for us,
Because of Christ, to Him we’re precious.
When it is time, and God’s call we hear,
There will be nothing, for us to fear.

CONDESCENDING

Jesus did condescend for you and me,
Leaving His Home in Heav’n to set us free.
He came willingly to die on that Cross,
Bearing our sin, that we’d not be at loss.

Condescending, from “KING” to humble Man,
Voluntarily He came, to fill God’s plan.
He could have stayed in His Home of beauty,
But He came instead, in love, not duty.

He lowered Himself to our level,
So we could someday in His Home dwell.
Mocked and degraded; for us He died,
Only then, did God open Heav’n wide.

Do you condescend for any today?
Or just go about in your uppish way?
You must treat others, as you’d have them do,
We must be more like Christ; both me and you.

CONSIDER

Consider how many folks there are,
The world over, who from God are far.
Proud they are, craving earthly things,
Succumb to temptations Satan brings.

Most people want what Satan can give,
They follow after him, as they live.
Seeking wealth and pleasure with ev’ry breath,
And power and fame; ne’er thinking of death.

Satan makes ev’ry thing look so great,
He has power we can’t estimate.
A dark evil creature of the night,
He shows himself as an angel of light.

People just flock to his constant pull,
He gives what they want; he is no fool.
Makes all his wrongs and evils look right,
Most folks accept this without a fight.

I ask you consider one thing more,
What does eternity hold in store?
Your soul lives forever in some place,
Do you want some day to see God’s Face?

Can the ‘prince of devils’ save your soul?
NO WAY! only Christ has that control!
Satan will be cast, by Christ, to Hell,
There for eternity he will dwell.

If you want to follow Satan; with him you’ll go,
God’s Word is clear; God wants you to know.
The option is Christ; He can save you,
And live for e’er in Heav’n, that He does endue.

Consider

Blasphemy and vulgar jokes, are so wrong,
These belong only, to the devil’s throng!
Trying to bring God down, to common man,
Is simply a part, of old Satan’s plan.

If you want Heaven’s bliss, eternally,
You must believe what God states, to you and me!
You must believe God, and accept His Son,
Then eternal salvation, has begun!

Consider then, the other way to go,
That will bring never ending pain, below!
To do right by God, is what we should do,
And that means everyone, both me and you!

We must walk the narrow path, and obey,
For to our God, there is no other way!
But most in today’s world, choose the broad path,
Which brings on, God’s infuriation wrath!

Condemning to Hell, is NOT God’s desire,
But unless they repent, ‘tis the lake of fire!
If your name is not, in the book of life,
Eternity shall be, horror and strife!

Please consider, what I have said to you,
It’s in the Word of God, Holy and True!
A decision awaits, you must make a choice,
I pray you choose Heave’n, where you will rejoice!

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD THE FATHER, WHO IS IN HEAVEN!!!
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)  Only JESUS can save your soul! Please believe this!

Colossians 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. (KJV) . . . Do you do these things? STOP them!
Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: (KJV) . . . Are you the devil’s child? (1 Jn.3:10)
1 John 5:10-12 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (KJV) . . . God puts this in very plain language!
John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (KJV)
John 5:24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (KJV) . . . The moment you are sincere and truly believe in Jesus, you have (hath) everlasting life!  No one can take it away from you!
Rev. 20:15  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (KJV)  . . . Is your name in the book of life? Only JESUS can put it there!

CONSIDER HELL

Did you e’er consider the picture of Hell?
It will be the place where many will dwell.
Evil, wicked ones will be there; that’s true,
But many good moral folk will be there too!

Hell is a place of much suff’ring and pain,
Agony, darkness, weeping; all in vain!
Fire and brimstone; thirst beyond your worst dream,
No doors to get out; all you’ll do is scream.

Do you want to go to this place called “Hell”?
Where most of the world will for e’er dwell.
You don’t have to go there; trust Jesus today,
He’s the only “One” who can keep you away!

Considering

I don’t take into, consideration,
Many wrong words, and deeds that I have done.
I fall so far short, of what I should be,
So far away, from Jesus’ purity.

Ne’er a bad or wrong word, came from His lips,
But for me, many are the awful quips.
For me, lies and unkind remarks, are widespread,
I should consider, future terror and dread.

Only great love, came from Jesus the Lord,
But for me, hate is rampant, love is barr’d.
Hatred is a sin, this I truly know,
I should consider, there is Hell below.

Only measureless kindness, came from Him,
Making my rare kindness, extremely dim.
Loving compassion, is a necessity,
 I should really consider, eternity.

Only firm obedience, came from the Lord,
But for me, I pretend I never heard.
Trust and obey, this I must really do,
If Heaven is what, I want to pursue.

Trusting God, is what Jesus did alway,
Never a doubt or fear, in any day.
But for me, many doubts each day arise,
And oft’ fear takes hold of me, ‘fore sunrise.

Lord, help me to be, who You want me to be,
Help me to guard my lips, this is my plea.
Help me to love, help me to be kind,
Help me to obey, with my heart and mind.

Take away every doubt, that comes my way,
Don’t let the old devil, ruin my day.
Please increase my faith, help remove my fear,
Let me precious Lord, feel Your Presence near.

LOVE of Christ.  (Mk.10:21; Jn.10:11; 11:3; 13:1,34; 14:21; 15:9,13; 19:26; 20:2;  Rom.5:7; 8:35-38; 2 Cor.5:14; Gal.2:20; Eph.3:19; 5:25; 1 Tim. 1:14; 1 Jn.3:16) Obedience of Christ. (Jn.4:34; 6;38;, 8:55; 10:18; 14:31; 15:10; Rom.5:19; 1 Cor.15:28; Heb.5:8; 10:9). Consider: (Deut.4:39; 8:5; 32:29; 1 Sam.12:24; Job 1:8; 2:3; 11:11; 23:15; 34:27; 37:14; Ps.5:1; 8:3; 9:13; 13:3; 25:19; 31:7; 50:22; 64:9; 119:153; 119:159; Pro.24:12; Ecc.5:1; 7:13; Isa.1:3; 5:12; Hag.1:5,7; Lk.12:24,27; Jn.11:50; Heb.10:24).
Luke 17:5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. (KJV)
If they could ask, so can we!

Considering Eternity

Forget the past, think of things yet to come,
Consider first firey Hell, then Christ’s Kingdom.
If you would die this day, where would you go?
To Heaven with Jesus, or Hell’s deep sorrow?

Most folk never think, of eternity,
As they live their sinful lives, joyfully.
To speak to these, about judgment or Hell,
Sharp words burst from their lips, they cannot quell.

A letter to a loved one, I did send,
As gently I tried, his hard heart to bend.
Such anger and hatred, from him did rise,
But they hated Jesus, so ‘tis no surprise.

But I must go on, of Christ I must tell,
I must speak of judgment, and firey Hell.
More than any other, Christ spoke of these,
So I too must speak, if Him I would please.

Have you really thought, ‘bout eternity?
Or do you just live in sin, foolishly?
Thruh my friend, there IS a Judgment Day,
To hide or avoid it, there will be NO way!

Before Judge Jesus, each person shall stand,
No one will be there to help, or hold your hand.
In the Lamb’s Book of Life, your name must be,
Or in Hell you’ll reside, eternally!

Constant Need, The

Isaiah 58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. (KJV)

My soul does not cease, of the constant need,
To honor and praise You, and give You heed.
I feel as Isaiah, no words can provide,
How my heart feels, as in You I abide.

Like a watered garden, to us You tend,
On Your goodness, we can always depend.
Like a spring of water, You don’t deny,
Your Fountain of kindness, will not run dry,

So many things You do, run thru’ my mind,
Blessings You bestow, because You are kind.
Abundant blessings, You bestow each day,
Leading and guiding, each step of the way.

I thank You, for Your watch care over me,
Day or night, You watch continually.
I thank You for the angels, who stand guard,
Who keep away all danger, from me barred.

I thank You, for eternal salvation,
Giv’n to me, by Your dearly beloved Son.
Redeemed, from the eternal lake of fire,
Promised Heav’n instead, that I would acquire.

Your lovingkindness, and amazing grace,
Make me know one day, I’ll meet You Face to face.
So I’ll keep off’ring, the sacrifice of praise,
My heart-felt gratitude, to You I’ll raise.

So many reasons, for the constant need,
That gratitude and honor, from me must proceed.
I must praise and thank, the dear LORD above,
For all the goodness, that comes from His love.

Receiving a poem in the middle of my work does not happen too often, but when it does, it is a sign to include it in what I am working on. I hope you see what the goodness, faithfulness, love and mercy of the LORD means to me. The need to thank and praise Him is constantly with me.

CONTINUING

In the grace of God, we must continue,
Ev’n if most in the world, look down on you.
Christ was not of the world, neither are we,
For we have the hope, of life eternally.

Continuing in the faith, is a must,
We must ne’er deny Christ, but always trust.
We must remember, to trust and obey,
Ev’n tho’ many trials, may come our way.

We must continue, in Christ’s love so great,
This love we must share, and appreciate.
Christ Jesus loves us, as God loves His Son,
Loved us from the start, ‘fore the world begun.

We must give thanks, and continue in pray’r,
Fruit of our lips, shows God how much we care.
We must give thanks, and praise His Holy Name,
We want to please Him, and not bring Him shame.

We must always, continue in His Word,
Or we are not, disciples of the Lord.
Only His Truth, can ever set us free,
From the Lake of Fire, and its agony.

In the Lord’s goodness, we must continue,
We don’t want to be cut off, me and you.
We want to go, to our mansion on high,
So on His vast goodness, we must rely.

That which ye have heard, must in you remain,
The Truth of God’s Word, is always great gain.
Continue in the Son, and the Father too,
And be grateful, for what they’ve done for you.

Cookies

When I read Billy Sunday's Sermon: "Wonderful", his words touched my heart.
He put the cookies on the lower shelf.

On the bottom shelf, is where the cookies are,
Not out of your reach, and not so very far.
Just like salvation can be, for everyone,
All who trust and believe, in Christ, God's own Son.

In the cookie jar, on the pantry shelf,
You can reach in, grab a cookie for yourself.
And for all who are wise, eternal life awaits,
Just trust Jesus, He can open Heaven's gate.

God did not make salvation, a mystery,
He wants all to receive, life eternally.
He sent His one and only, Begotten Son,
And to all who believe, He gives salvation.

You can reach in the jar, and grab a cookie,
It's on the bottom shelf, just in the pantry.
God makes eternal life, just as easy too,
It's not out of reach, just waiting for you.

Eternal salvation, is like a cookie,
On the bottom shelf, waiting for you and me.
Such wondrous blessings await, blessings galore,
When we reach the beauty, of Heaven's shore.

Salvation is a GIFT, free and clear! Eph.2:8-9; Rom.5:15-18; 6:23
Salvation may come quietly, but we must NOT remain silent about it.

Courage, Do YOU Have It?

Isaiah 6:8  Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send,
and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. (KJV)

How many are there, in the world today,
That have the courage, to do things God’s way?
So much vile wickedness, from shore to shore,
And most here on earth, willing to explore.

Christ said just a few, the small path would find,
Have you considered these words, in your mind?
Most travel the broad road, leading to Hell,
Have courage, change roads, go where Christ does dwell!

Do you have courage, to do things God’s way?
Do you fully trust Him, and Him obey?
Or with vile wickedness, do you agree?
That will put you in Hell, eternally.

Like Isaiah, do you have courage too?
Ready and willing, as one of the few.
Here am I, send me, He did boldly say,
Loving trust in the Lord, he did display.

Many in past years, great courage did show,
The Lord would not forsake, this they did know!
The all had courage, to do things God’s way.
How many are there, with courage today?

We all should have courage, to do what’s right,
And forsake wickedness, that’s dark as night.
We should have courage, to do things God’s way,
But only a few, the Lord do obey!

We should consider Isaiah’s willingness,
And separate ourselves, from wickedness!
Let us have courage, to do things God’s way,
Love and trust Him always, and Him obey!

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD THE FATHER, WHO IS IN HEAVEN!!!
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (KJV)  Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (KJV)  Only JESUS can save your soul! Please believe this!

CREATION’S CREATOR

God stretch’d out the north, o’er the empty place,
He hung the Earth on nothing, in space.
The glory of God, do the heavens declare,
The skies show His handiwork, with great flare.

Let us remember, His great works He has made,
From the highest mountain, to the marshy glade.
The sea is His work, and the dry land too,
He laid the Earth’s foundation, with wisdom true.

Springs run from the hills, to valleys below,
Giving drink to all the beasts, as fountains flow.
He waters the hills, from His chambers above,
The Earth is grateful, for His gracious love.

Our Creator God, ne’er grows weary,
Not like mere humans, like you and me.
His mighty hand, laid the foundation of Earth,
He lets us rule His Creation, of such great worth.

His many works, He made in wisdom and pow’r,
His enemies one day, shall shudder and cow’r.
He has made two places for souls to abide,
Heav’n or Hell; our choice, where we shall reside.

A CRITICAL JUNCTION

There’s an important junction, most pass by,
A junction the Bible, does specify.
The majority stay on, the broad road,
And shall end up, in the devil’s abode.

At this junction, there is a small, lone path,
And all those who take it, escape God’s wrath.
Just a “few” walk it, God’s Word tells us clear,
But they walk with Jesus, always so near.

Those who walk the broad road, keep on in sin,
They listen to Satan, they cannot win.
They walk with the devil, and not our Lord,
There’s no desire to know, what’s in God’s Word.

Fools these are, who think not of eternity,
They must never consider, Hell’s agony.
Only the wise, believe God’s Word so true,
I wonder, does this small group, include you?

Each person at this junction, will one day stand,
The decision you make, lies in your hand.
There are just two roads, to eternity,
One to Heav’n’s bliss, one to Hell’s misery.

Are you at this critical junction, this day?
Will you go with Christ, or be Satan’s prey?
This most important choice, lies in your hand,
The wide road to Hell, the small one to Heav’n Land!

CROSS of CHRIST . . . Mar 2010 Message

To the cross of Christ, we all must go,
To avoid the depths, of Hell below.
God the Father, devised just one Plan,
Accept Christ Jesus, the Son of Man.

Christ left the glory, of Heav’n above,
All because, of His amazing love.
Jesus is God, and always has been,
Yet despised and rejected by men.

While on Earth as Man, Jesus was poor,
No place to lay His Head, yet He did endure.
He knew all things, so He knew He’d die,
His own people shouted: “Crucify!”

The cross of Christ, means so much to me,
Believing, gives life eternally.
Believing on Christ, and Him crucified,
God gives us His Spirit, to abide.

God forbid that I should e’er glory,
Save in the cross, of Christ’s victory.
I have peace, just thru’ the Blood of His cross,
What the world offers, I must count as loss.

Just the cross of Christ, makes me God’s friend,
Without Jesus, to Hell I’d descend.
We are not condemn’d, if we believe,
Believing not - - - God’s wrath we receive.

Eternal life in Heav’n, God offers to all,
But rejecting Christ’s cross, Hell will befall.
Christ paid it all, paid sin’s penalty,
Belief in His cross, gives us victory.

[20] For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: [21] Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. (KJV)
Son of Man” is used in the New Testament 84 times as the unique title of the Saviour.

THE CROWN AND CROSS WERE HIS . . . Mar.2002, 2016 Message

They borrowed a manger, to use as a bed,
For the precious Babe Jesus, to lay His Head!
They borrowed a colt, for Christ Jesus to ride,
A colt on which no one, had e’er been astride!

Christ borrowed bread, high on the mountain side,
That the crowd’s hunger, might be satisfied!
He borrowed two little fish, from a young lad,
In all the people there, ‘twas all to be had.

Jesus borrowed a boat, in which He sat and taught,
For the great multitude, His vast wisdom sought!
He borrowed a friend’s house, that He might rest,
They lovingly obliged, to this most special Guest!

They borrowed a room, the Last Supper to eat,
An Upper Room, that was high up off the street.
From a very rich man, they borrowed a grave,
Jesus’ sepulcher was a small, lonely cave.

The crown of thorns they crushed, on His precious Head,
Was not a borrowed crown, but His own instead!
The crown of thorns He wore, was His very own,
That dreadful, horrendous crown; was His alone.

The cross that He carried, so very painfully,
Is the cross where He died, in great agony.
That old rugged cross He bore, was His very own,
The cross where He bled and died, was His alone.
